An asset. An experiment
A liability. A freak.
I’m all those things
And so much more.
The Phoenix Group might have all the power
But underestimating someone with nothing left to lose will be their downfall
They took the only thing in my life that was pure and untainted
And destroyed it, leaving behind nothing but rubble and ash.
Now there’s nothing but revenge on my mind and rage in my heart.
They … heart.
They left me to burn, trapped behind a wall of fire and flames.
But the girl I once was is now a monster of their own making
They should have remembered that a Phoenix cannot be beaten with fire.
From the ashes, I will rise
And vengeance will be mine.
Trigger warning: This story contains themes that some readers might find uncomfortable.
Authors note: From the Ashes is an unconventional story about love and loss and the hard part in between. It is a Reverse Harem romance with multiple love interests and not a triangle in sight.

My new favorite series. I’m obsessed. I love where this story pics up and what our girl, now Ro, has been up to. I love a badass girl!! Of course, nothing can stay calm, but damn, it all made me dive in farther. I love the new additions. All the new and old characters are fantastic and make me care about each and every one. This is over, and I loved the end (mostly) but not really over. I’m pretty damn excited to see what’s next for Syn. It’s going to be hot!!
I can’t even express how much I loved this book. The whole duet. Shoot, I love all the books that will fall into the same world in the future. It was freaking fantastic. From the Ashes gives us so much story! The drama and the action were on point. The feelings felt real. I feel like I should bow down to Candice Wright right now. I need more of pretty much all of the characters, primary and secondary. My thoughts are all jumbled so I’ll just come straight out and say read this duet! You won’t be disappointed.
This is the conclusion to the Phoenix Project duet and it picks up one year after Cam finds out her boys have committed the ultimate betrayal.
In typical Candice Wright fashion, this story will captivate you until the very end, answering some questions and also making you a bit jealous of all of her men.
This story has plenty of action, quite a bit of emotion and the perfect amount of heat. Yes this is a reverse harem but it’s interesting to see the individual connections she has with them all.
This is a great duet and if you haven’t read it you really need to pick this one up!
This book was a wild ride from start to finish. It drags you in at the beginning and doesn’t let go until the very end. I find myself left wanting more and when future books relating to this duet come out, I’m going to have to read them.
Ro (formerly Cam, formerly Nemo) has been trying to heal emotionally and mentally for over a year … she hates her former lovers but knows she will find them again when she carries out her vengeance on the Phoenix Project … things have changed drastically though and Ro is not sure if she will survive this round
I need more!!!!
This book was soooo good. Definitely more than a 5 read.
This book picks up with after Ro has been on her own for a year preparing to get revenge. All while trying to keep her emotions in check after she was so irrecoverable damaged at the end of book 1. This book had so many great elements it made for a book you couldn’t put down. I mean first off Gus just making you tear up right at the beginning.
I hate that is series was a duet because it was so very good and I would have absolutely loved…loved to read more. I can’t wait to find out more in Syn’s story. So excited
Ro (aka Cam) has been hiding out and plotting for a year since everything blew up. She is now ready to take down the Phoenix Project. But is she ready to face the guys? I loved that she just didn’t forgive the guys. I loved seeing her make a new family. I wish we got to see more of Hector. I’m super excited to see what happens in Syn’s story. This was a great conclusion although it does leave a few ends which look like they will be addressed in Syn’s story. I can’t wait!
WOW! This was so satisfying! A wild rollercoaster ride! Action packed. First of all, OMG Gus slayed me! “Come home. I don’t care if your shattered in a million pieces. bring each piece back to me Gus”. He is a bad dude! I loved the multi POVs. I love all the new characters! Twist and turns. My heart was beating so fast with angst. I wish we had seen more of her fighting skills. She did work a whole year to perfect them. It was just everything. I’m going to have a hard time reading the same old same old after this gem. I highly recommend. This author just keeps getting better and better. I can’t wait to read the extended epilogue of island life.
What a ride, this is an amazing story. You have the best characters, great world, fast paced, action, adventure, danger, and steamy. This is the second in this series, and It just gets better. You have to meet Cam./ Ro., and her men. This is a fast read, cause once you start, there is no stopping. Come meet the caste, you are going to want to know everything about them. This is an awesome five star read.
It was simply mind blowing. Not that I’m surprised, it’s what I was expecting all along (what? … when It’s Candice who writes it can only be fantastic). It was filled with so many feelings, so many dreads. New friends, more understanding, more connections, searing attraction, planning and so much more on pages of this story. It kept me captive, it hold my heart and it played with my head… We were dipped in action, gone trough plots, been surprised more than once. I was shout
Ing on my husband and kids when they disturbed me while reading, when I started it there was no possibility of me putting it down. I think I did probably die and come back as phoenix, I did probably combust with fire several times while reading this book. And the final left me jaw dropped, gapping on the last page asking why.. just three letters come to my mind… OMG… I need more of this world.
