I enjoyed reading the book.
Once the author got over the flowery phrases that he was trying to paint in the readers mind, and when the action started it turned out to be quite good.
well written historical novel. I enjoyed learning about the 1900’s in SanFrancisco
Really enjoyed this book.
Based on historical event, really human characters, issues that remain of concern today.
The characters have stayed with me after I finished the book.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The only negative i have is that for me it was a very long read, even though there was no repetition. I think it may have seemed so because I was eager to find out what happened and the author played on my impatience. The story line was intriguing and kept my interest throughout the many twists and turns and kept …
I didn’t think I’d enjoy this as I’m not usually a fan of American mystery fiction. But it’s well presented, believable and the characters are VERY good. Looking forward to more from this author.
I fell in love with this author via The Ravenwood Mysteries. She’s a grand story teller and a wonderful writer.
A once you are in the story you can’t stop!
This was a good concept in a story, but somewhere it got lost. The characters were not very realistic and I had a hard time getting through it.
I loved this book. Just my kind of read
As the story builds and you meet the characters it flows smoother. Twist and turns build the suspense. I think I would enjoy following the characters in additional adventures.
Wonderful historical who dunnit. Much information in this book. Characters were well rounded. This book drew me in as if I were a part of it. Great read.
Wow! What a great mystery and great writing. I loved the characters, the setting of San Francisco in the years 1899 and 1900, and the story line. I’ve already downloaded the next book in the series, and look forward to reading more.
Enjoyed the characters in this novel so much, I read the next in the series. Historical mystery kept me guessing through the end.
Interesting historical fiction mystery. Felt very realistic and will researched. I will continue to read the series.
In the style of a good Sherlock Holmes novel this mystery keeps you hooked and wanting more. I enjoyed piecing together the backgrounds of the opposing protagonists and the seedy world they navigated. I will be reading more by this author.
Suspenseful and intriguing from beginning to end.
I love this entire series and eagerly await the next book!
