If you are a fan of Anna Kronberg, chances are you’ll love Sabrina’s kick-ass heroine Isobel.
Sabrina has a great talent for writing characters who are complex and teeming with life. Her plot keeps you guessing while she’s leading you from the luxuries of the high society all the way into gravest poverty, making you thirst for more once the last …
I love Historical mysteries, and just found this author when one of her books came up at 99cents on kindle. Atmospheric descriptions of old San Francisco are wonderful, and her characters are sharp, complicated and well developed. I’m hooked on reading more of the Ravenswood series.
I’ve known Sabrina Flynn since at least 2018 (probably before) and for YEARS, readers of my own books have told me I should be reading Ms. Flynn’s Ravenwood Mysteries. “I know. It’s on the list!” I replied, and then went on to the next thing. Typical me. Always behind the curve.
Well, after doing a Facebook Live interview with Cyn Mackley, …
This book takes place 1900 San Francisco. There are lots of twists and turns. It was extremely enjoyable. I’ve ordered the second one in the series and can’t wait to start reading it!
Historical mystery lovers, pick up this amazing novel. I can’t wait to read more in this series. The character development was top notch, the atmosphere so thick I felt I was right there in Victorian San Fransisco, and the mystery a twisty tale that kept me on my toes. Loved it!
From The Ashes – A Ravenwood Mystery – Sabrina Flynn
Here we are, I needed a palate cleanser or maybe just something different totally and while scrolling through my social media I saw this most amazing cover and then the title, From The Ashes, this was what I was looking for! For the record, Sabrina Flynn is a new author to me but not any more, …
Excellent book. Spell binding. Loved it.
Kept me turning pages! Riot has his demons, but returning home refreshes his detective mind and skills. He’s drawn into an investigation of a very rich man’s young wife who has gone missing. It’s never quite how it looks.
I like the detective in this book — Atticus Riot — he’s a man of manners yet never stodgy — polite with everyone yet able to go among the dodgy sorts and get along. I also like it that his old partner who has passed whispers helpful hints in his ear. I’ll be on the lookout for more of this author and this detective. I generally don’t like …
Once you meet Riot and Bel you will want to read the entire series. Entertaining, unique characters, 1900 San Francisco, and a plot that keeps you turning the page make this first in a series a winner!!
I’m on the last book of the 3 in this series. Love this author’s stories. Great hero and heroine. Lots of action and surprise. Please Sabrina Flynn, write more.
The Ravenwood series is very entertaining. I have prepurchased book 3 and eagerly await more.
This is the first book in a mystery series set in San Francisco in the late 1800s. The protagonist is Atticus and he is a recently retired private investigator. He retired after the death of his mentor and business partner and has returned to San Francisco after several months of travels. He stumbles into a kidnapping case, dealing with a wealthy …
Pretentious and not very exciting.
Great picture of the era, around 1900 in San Francisco
Loved this book! Just as I thought I figured it out, the mystery took yet another turn. So many colorful characters that were so well written. I felt like they were old friends! Can’t wait to read more!! Keep them coming!
All I can say is this book left me looking for more.
Liked the various characters and their back stories!
The plot lives unraveled at just the right pace while continuing to reveal Atticus Riot’s private ghosts.
Love, love, love this series. You will not be disappointed!
