New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Carrie Ann Ryan continues her sexy new contemporary stand-alone series with an enemies-to-lovers office romance.Paris Trissel is in a dating rut. Despite the pact she made with her friends to find someone to share her life with, she’s throwing in the towel after only a few blind dates. Add in the fact that the new hire at the job she used to love … to love happens to be the Brady brother she can’t stand, and Paris is having a terrible year.
Prior Brady’s life seems pretty perfect from the outside. He has a wonderful, caring girlfriend, a family he’s never been closer to, and a new job he can’t wait to sink his teeth and talents into. Too bad the woman he has to work with for hours a day hates him on sight.
Once the two are forced to find the balance between chemistry and temptation, however, they’ll realize they’re stronger together than apart. Except when Paris’s past comes back with a vengeance, bringing terror, pain, and horror with it, both she and Prior will have to lean on each other.
In more ways than one.

These two definitely show there’s a very thin line between love and hate… though why is there hate is exactly what Prior is trying to figure out. Paris has very high walls built up and finds it hard to believe anyone besides her friends can and want to be there for her. Then in walks Prior with his good intentions only stirring up her dirty ones lol. Love these 2 together.
I received a free copy of this book from the author.
This book is the second in a series but it can be read as a stand alone. I don’t think I’ve read the first book but jumped right into this one.
From That Moment by Carrie Ann Ryan is a contemporary office romance and a friends to lovers storyline. Though calling them friends might be a stretch as they were more like acquaintances to start.
I enjoyed reading this story. There was a bit of suspense included in this story but nothing that would overly warrant this book as a romantic suspense. I think you’ll enjoy this one as well. Prior and Paris definitely had their work cut out for them at the beginning of their relationship but they weathered a few storms and came out the other side with their HEA.
Paris is a software engineer. Basically whatever programs Prior writes codes, Paris checks for bugs, and has Prior fix them. His Brother Cross is marrying Hazel from the book Forever Only Once . Paris is a member of the pact group, it is her turn to go on blind dates.
Her parents were abusive, and had a hand in killing her younger sister Tracey. Paris has nightmares, she is attacked after work one night, she has a concussion, bruised ribs, and some cuts and scrapes.
She has gone on 6 blind dates, and then on her first day back to work after the accident she asks Prior out for coffee, after talking they decide on a raincheck. She goes home and has a very hot sex dream about him. He invited her on a date, they see his recent ex who cheated, they go back to her place and her dream becomes real life. She tells him her scary, harmful, sad past, and they sleep holding each other, and she doesn’t have a waking up screaming nightmare.
Bad people show up and hurt them, Prior is in the hospital, they say 3 words to each other. There is a bonus epilogue at the end of the book.
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
Ah-May-Zing!!! This was such a great read that I didn’t want to put it down, in fact I was up most of the night so I could finish it.
The Brady Brothers are one by one finding their person whether their are ready for it or not, and it may not even be with the person they are with. Which is the case for Prior Brady who is dating Allison, they have been together for the past six months but it’s no surprise that it doesn’t work out – what was a surprise was how it ended
Paris and her girlfriends have made a “Pact” to set each other up on blind dates, well it’s Paris’ turn and she isn’t happy about it. I can honestly say I don’t blame her, talk about horrible blind dates and wouldn’t you know it Prior was there to witness some of the epic fails. Paris is a bit rough around the edges when it comes to Prior but then he is relocated to her office to work for six months and things begin to shift.
We are learning that each of the girls haven’t had an easy past and have made a little family within themselves, in this book we find out about Paris’ past and be ready with tissues because you will probably need them.
Prior and Paris had great chemistry together and although it took them a while to get together it was definitely worth the wait.
I would recommend this book to anyone that has read Carrie Ann Ryan’s MONTGOMERY INK: BOULDER SERIES, and if you haven’t you really should get on that (book 1 is currently free), also anyone that enjoys office romances or frenemies to lovers romances.
Happy Reading!!!
This is the 2nd book in this amazing series and is Prior and Paris’ story. Paris is strong and determined and is content to work in a man’s world, but she has a lot of baggage from her past, and her friends talk her into going on bling dates for find the perfect man. Prior and Paris know each other, and he always seems to appear with his girlfriend at the same venues as her blind dates. These two tend to butt heads a lot, and Prior ends up working with her, which enhances their love / hate relationship. Prior is caring and protective, and when Paris’ past comes back to haunt her. This is a beautifully written story which is an emotional and heart-warming read. I was completely enthralled throughout this riveting tale, and I look forward to reading more from this author whose work I recommend for all.
Prior and Paris are introduced to each other through Prior’s brother dating Paris’s best friend Hazel. Prior and Paris find that they are working with each other for the next six months. I liked how they began building a friendship due to their current situations. Paris was fulfilling her obligations of blind dates but they have been disastrous to say the least. Through working together they are forced to lean on each other and build a solid friendship. Paris has a pretty troubled childhood that she is forced to deal with. I loved how strong and fierce Paris is throughout the book but also love how Prior is accepting of it and does not try to dim her. Prior is happy to be on the sidelines and offer her support as needed. I enjoyed the twist at the end of the book because the villain was a surprise to me. I thought this was another great addition to the series. We are given a story with complex characters that deliver a great story but offer all the right emotions at the right time!
4.5-stars!
From That Moment by Carrie Ann Ryan is the second book in her Promise me series. This is Paris and Prior’s story and will have you captivated from the start. Though each book in the series can be read as a standalone, the series has interconnected family and friends and honestly, I loved the first book and highly recommend it. The woman in the series are helping each other move forward from their pasts and begin dating. Prior has had some bad blind dates so far and is ready to throw in the towel but love usually comes where you at least expect it.
Prior and Paris have always seemed to be at each other’s throats, so when he goes to work for Paris, can they learn to work together? I loved Paris. Though she carries some heavy baggage from her past, she is strong and determined. Prior was caring and protective. As lines begin to blur, can they see what they truly share before it’s too late? Another great read from this author!
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
I am enjoying this series so much. And when I read the first book I just knew that Paris was going to be the difficult one. I knew that she wasn’t going to take any nonsense from anyone and definitely earner her nick name… The Shark
I loved that she and Prior were friends first and that they were there for each other in their times of need. And when the time came to tell him her secrets she didn’t waste anytime.
Prior was just the sweetest ever. And even though his ex was a first class biatch he was still nice to her and wanted to help her.
Loved the action and drama in this book and the attraction and chemistry between thwm was just so good. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. I am dying to read Dakota and Macons book… It’s going to be so good
From That Moment is the second in The Promise Me series by the lovely Carrie Ann Ryan. Now while this can be read as a standalone, I personally recommend reading the first in the series; Forever Only Once first.
From That Moment is a enemies to lover, sexy romance that is sure to capture the hearts and minds of it’s readers. Reading this book left both a smile on my face and a yearning in my belly. The Brady brothers are a awesome series to read, and I can’t wait to see what happens next with the pack.
Prior Brady is a nerd, a hot nerd, but a nerd just the same. He takes a six month position at another company to get away from his regular day to day management, and what does he find?
Paris Trissel.
That’s right, THAT Paris. The Paris his brothers woman calls friend. Paris who Prior will now be working with for the next six month. For Paris life hasn’t been easy, she has a past that still haunts her to this day. She surrounds herself with work and the few trusted people she calls friends, and has clawed her way up from the bottom. Paris loves her job and won’t let the “good ole boys” and their trash talk get her down, from the drama of horrible co-workers and now fighting her growing attraction to Prior…
Paris is in for a change. When her past comes screeching back into her life, trying to up root all the good she now has, can Paris trust in the growing relationship she ans Prior have or will her past drag her back down.
5 out of 5 star review, I really loved Prior and Paris together, their attractions, their love, the way they interact together is all so awesome!!
I love the concept of this series, 4 best friends trying to find love for each other. This is Paris’s story. She has worked hard as a programmer to be accepted in a male dominated business and is known as a hard ass at work. She puts up with a lot, especially from her boss, but she always tries to rise above it. He shark-like demeanor is shaken when she find out that the temporary trouble shooter is Prior Brady. Prior seems to have the perfect life. He has a great job and a beautiful girlfriend. The job part is great, the girl not so much. Girlfriend or not he can’t help his attraction to Paris, nor can he understand her hostility towards him. He manages to rescue her from two horrible dates and they begin a reluctant friendship. The more time they spend together the more the attraction grows, but he cant totally break down her walls. I love seeing their relationship unfold and how everyone around them reacts, especially since drama and danger seem to follow all of them around! Such a great story!! I can’t wait for the next one!!
Carrie Ann Ryan has created the perfect man. I kid you not. Prior Brady is sweet, sexy, funny and a modern man who knows how to treat a modern woman. I’m done. From the stunning cover to the very last page I fell for Prior right along with Paris. Read this book and find your new book boyfriend.
Paris and Prior! What a great pairing! Clever, feisty but vulnerable, Paris is such a great heroine, while Prior combines a strong character with a keen sensitivity. Add in fabulous banter, tension and some angst, hilarious blind dates, and the build up between the remaining pact crew and the Brady brothers, and you have the perfect recipe for a really good read
Another amazing story by Carrie Ann Ryan, This was a sweet enemies to lovers romance. Paris and Prior are smoking hot together. I love Paris’ sass and the way Prior is so thoughtful and caring. Another well written story that once again delves into the tough issues. These are strong characters with a deep connection and some hot scenes. I can’t wait for the next one.
I loved Paris and Prior’s story. This couple had amazing chemistry an a connection that just could not be ignored! The storyline quickly grabbed my attention and had me shipping this couple so hard. The book is filled with plenty of deep emotions, drama, danger, humor and a huge amount of heart. An all around, wonderful read. This is my sincere, elective review.
A single moment in time that can change everything. From that Moment is a fantastic read that grabs your heart and wont let go. This is truly a beautiful read.
I absolutely love Prior. He may be my favorite Brady brother, Macon and Nate are going to have a tough time beating him.
This was sort of an enemies to friends (the enemy part doesn’t last long, that morphs to a friends to lovers office romance. Paris and Prior are perfect for each other and their chemistry burns very very hot! As with Cross and Hazel’s book there is just a little suspense to keep things a little interesting.
I really love the idea behind the 4 brothers and 4 friends thing. It’s really fun!
**I was generously provided with an advanced readers copy of this book in exchange for my fair and honest review**
What a great second book in this series. This story with Paris ‘Shark’ and Prior was really good. I liked seeing them develop a friendship and somewhat be there for each other, but I must admit that I am glad that the Allison relationship was short lived, I just never really cared for her. Paris is such a take charge heroine during the day but unfortunately deals with her own ‘ghosts’ after hours. I am also glad that Benji finally got what he deserved. Learning about her past was beyond sad and then when she got the call from the detective with the update, I knew things were going to get serious really quick. I would consider her parents truly evil but at least her father wanted to try to make amends, so I give him a little credit for that but not much. I was so shocked at her mother and Kenny; I mean I wanted to go after these two myself. I am glad that Paris and Prior are both ok and are definitely a good fit for each other. One of my favorite lines from this story was ‘I’ve become Paris in the streets, rather than Paris at work’. The next book with Macon and Dakota should be very interesting, considering the sparks were already flying between these two in this book.
Interesting characters and an intriguing tale…
I hate to call this an enemies to lovers story. Sure they were acquaintances that growled at each other, but when they start working together they see each other differently. This author makes these normal everyday people fun to read about. They go to work and family functions just like you and I. I knew Paris and Prior were supposed to get together but I didn’t see this storyline coming. From the moment I started this book I couldn’t put it down.
I really enjoyed this story! It was a great read! Paris has a strong personality and I truly enjoyed getting to know her. She has overcome a horrible childhood and has stood strong. I really enjoyed Prior as well. I also liked the way that Prior interacted with Paris and her prickly side. They built a friendship that then turned into something more. I loved the way that things developed between them. I loved getting to see and catch up with other characters in this series as well. I love how close these two family groups are. This book can be read as a standalone as it is 2 different main characters and they have their own story to tell. You see them in the previous book and get to see some of their personalities in it, so if you have read that book, you will probably have a little more enjoyment/fun with the characters earlier on. There was plenty of action/intrigue to hold your attention as you try and figure out what is going on and who is coming at Paris.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Carrie Ann Ryan is one of my go to authors that never lets me down. She always delivers a great read and From That Moment does not disappoint. Prior and Paris’s story is one full of emotion, drama and romance. I loved it.
