Murder. It’s a perennial problem. Verity Hawkes is a shut-in. After two years bunkered in her apartment, the only thing that gets her out is the disappearance of her beloved but eccentric aunt. As she takes over her aunt’s landscaping shop, she’ll need to go from hoarder to horticulturist in a hurry… obnoxious client. When a series of freak accidents kills the customer, all signs point to Verity as the killer.
The hunt for answers is on, and Verity must question a tipsy carpenter, a bacon-peddling vegan baker, and her dreamy landscaping competitor to keep her new life afloat. Failure to find the truth could put her back in a confined space for much more than two years…
From Garden To Grave is the first book in a series of delightfully funny cozy mysteries. If you like lovably quirky characters, deceptively idyllic Canadian villages, and twists you won’t see coming, then you’ll love Rickie Blair’s Leafy Hollow Mysteries.

It was not particularly well-written and there were some glaring errors. Story boards would help this writer. I was not tempted to buy subsequent books in the series as the writing annoyed me too much and the characters were not at all compelling–except maybe the bird.
Hard to follow at times. Not at all realistic.
The subject of the book was good but not believable. No one would be that stupid to do the things she did. Her dog irritated me.
Absolutely a great read. A hot mystery murder thriller that will keep you up late at night. Story takes place up in Canada which adds an interesting flair to the story. Who knew that trying to run a landscaping yard mowing business would yield so many murders.
I loved it so will you.
Tnx

A good read. You won’t be disappointed.
Sounded interesting, but didn’t live up to the blurb.
I enjoyed this book. The main character, Verity Hawkes, has been a recluse for two years after the death of her husband. She is called and told her Aunt Adeline is believed dead after a car accident and that Verity has to settle her cottage and gardening business. Verity meets quite a few characters and gets into some close calls. This is a good cozy mystery that is well written and no bad language. I recommend reading it.
It was a fun book. Light reading.
It was average for a first in a series book.
It was okay but I probably won’t read more by the author.
Could have been so much better but really stretches reality a bit to far. It’s light, fluffy reading and enjoyable.
just so-so
Loved the characters. Great story that leaves you wanting more. Great cozy mystery.
Too predictable
Quick read. I liked it.
Won’t read more. I’m tired of there having to include homosexuality in nearly every book written anymore. Sorry, it’s not a lifestyle, it’s sin.
Really enjoyed it. Would like to readore by her but no money
.
Needs a good editor. No surprise ending for me – probably won’t read more.
I would definitely like reading more of this series. It was interesting and moved along. Good characters and always the question in your mind. Is the Aunt dead or alive….
I had difficulties staying interested in this book.
