Murder. It’s a perennial problem. Verity Hawkes is a shut-in. After two years bunkered in her apartment, the only thing that gets her out is the disappearance of her beloved but eccentric aunt. As she takes over her aunt’s landscaping shop, she’ll need to go from hoarder to horticulturist in a hurry… obnoxious client. When a series of freak accidents kills the customer, all signs point to Verity as the killer.
The hunt for answers is on, and Verity must question a tipsy carpenter, a bacon-peddling vegan baker, and her dreamy landscaping competitor to keep her new life afloat. Failure to find the truth could put her back in a confined space for much more than two years…

Enjoyable to read
Cozy mystery that was well done. Good characters.
I enjoyed the surprise ending.
Cute book.
Quirky, funny characters. Great mysyery within a mystery. I want to read the next book in this series!
Well written murder mystery. You are compelled to jump to conclusions along with Varity. Unlike some stories, the ending and murderer fit the story.
A fun read that kept my interest.
A young Murder she wrote set in Canada with a landscaping business, a missing aunt, a people phobia, and friends willing to be talked into “slightly illegal” activities. And a hunky guy or two. A good read
I enjoyed the characters. The mystery kept moving. And the heroine was not involved with a just met man by the end of the book.
You will root for these characters.
Fun light-hearted read. Good cozy.
Was a fun read
It’s good enough that I plan to read the whole series.
