Murder. It’s a perennial problem. Verity Hawkes is a shut-in. After two years bunkered in her apartment, the only thing that gets her out is the disappearance of her beloved but eccentric aunt. As she takes over her aunt’s landscaping shop, she’ll need to go from hoarder to horticulturist in a hurry… obnoxious client. When a series of freak accidents kills the customer, all signs point to Verity as the killer.
The hunt for answers is on, and Verity must question a tipsy carpenter, a bacon-peddling vegan baker, and her dreamy landscaping competitor to keep her new life afloat. Failure to find the truth could put her back in a confined space for much more than two years…
From Garden To Grave is the first book in a series of delightfully funny cozy mysteries. If you like lovably quirky characters, deceptively idyllic Canadian villages, and twists you won’t see coming, then you’ll love Rickie Blair’s Leafy Hollow Mysteries.

A fun story that makes difficult things seem possible.
Loved this series
Light hearted, fun read.
Really a fun read!
easy going, interesting characters, easy to read
This book is a Lovely cup of tea.
Great read! Verity and her antics are enjoyable. I hope you stays in Leafy Hollow and finds true friends
Easy reading cozy. I like meeting a main character that has a personal issue to resolve, and during the story line takes steps to resolve it. Will certainly pick up more in the series about this Canadian gardener and the town she lives in.
Loved the cast of characters, felt like real people – after the first book I went on to read all 4 in the series and wished there were more!! Great fun read.
Rather pedestrian.
This is a well written book. It was a fun read
Good read. Somewhat predictable, but worth the read
Clever, witty humor, believable scenarios for the most part, didnt figure out whodunnit until right at the end. A few Canadian terms that were unfamiliar but easy enough to figure out.
Fun read.
I really liked this book. Surprise ending. Never guessed who did it.
Kept me wondering who did it.
Enjoyed the book!
Light & good summer reading
Verity Hawkes has been a recluse in mourning for her deceased husband for two years when she gets a call from her missing Aunt’s attorney to come and settle her estate. She reluctantly travels to a small town in Canada and discovers her Aunt’s lovely cottage has pretty much gone to ruin. She intends to sell the cottage and return to Vancouver but a series of “accidents” and quirky characters keeps her there. She doesn’t believe her aunt is dead and is determined to get to the truth about what happened to her. After two murders and other skulduggery, the villain turns out to be surprise. She never finds out what happened to her aunt but the story continues with three more books, which is annoying. I don’t like books that don’t resolve the ending. Other than, it was an enjoyable read.
I enjoyed this book from start to finish. An enjoyable read (which I finished in one sitting)! I recommend highly.
