No one does oddball characters like the English and this book is full of them, and they’re wonderful. Found myself laughing out loud on more than one occasion with the budgie and the skateboard being a favourite scene. Thoroughly recommend this.
Fun chick lit
Loved these quirky characters and this highly original story. Yes, a few parts were predictable but over all it kept me turning pages eager to find out what they’d do next. Totally recommend for a light, fun read.
When all of her friends were finding dates, mates, and marriage, Marie was working a job at a travel agency and not finding suitable anyone! She gets talked into going to a group called “speed dating”. That is where the story takes off in an unexpected direction when she is directed to the wrong room. Her life will never be the same. Lots of laughs, lots of quirky characters, and a fun read.
Marie learned that friends are not always what you think you want. What a great cast of characters
I disliked the female lead enough that I almost stopped reading it. So Glad I kept reading. The friends are charming. The situations are a combo of irritating, charming and funny. I quite enjoyed the other characters. Another nice element was although it has a love story (or 2) in it, there are no step by step details of sex to have to scan past.
An awkward single woman ends up with an unlikely collection of equally odd friends. As they become more familiar with one another they strike a strong bond that benefits them all. Romance finds her despite her attempts to push the man away. Although ashamed of her quirky mother she learns to see her through her friends’ eyes.
Good chick-lit read!
This was a pleasant, easy read.
Enjoyed how the characters became caring, faithful friends.
hilarious hijinx abound with kooky characters that just want to fit into society…. and do they ever…. this would make a great sitromcom for movie or tv… loved the characters
This was a cute read, but not the most amazing thing ever.
Friends Like These left me with a happy feeling and I immediately wanted more!
Enjoyed the read! Nice easy enjoyable read.
I really enjoyed this book! It was funny but also had a good lesson about truly seeing people rather than what they are presenting to the world.
I’m a new fan. Received this one free from BookBub, and now I am happily reading my way through all of her books.
A story of finding things where you least expect
Good laugh out loud read 🙂
very good read
Loved the humor in this book! The friends that keep showing up and the relationships build from there. I liked the interactions and the real ness of the situations. The way her friend feels about moving away, the nephew and the challenges with the mother… great subplots!
