Have they wasted three years just being friends?Terri Murphy was the down-to-earth twin; she wasn’t prone to dramatics, or exaggeration and she’d always been proud of her ability to take care of herself. That is, until an attack on campus leaves her feeling shattered and vulnerable. With everyone else heading off for Spring Break, the only person that’s left is the only one she wants around … around anyway, because Terri has been in love with Jet Chang since they were both freshmen and the feeling has stuck with her through three years of college and his apparent disinterest in anything but friendship.
Hating to see his best friend so downtrodden, Jet decides to stay on campus rather than go home for Spring Break as planned and sets about trying to help Terri put herself back together and distracting her with fun-filled days out. However, when he looks away from his laptop and the career as an author he’s trying to carve out for himself, he notices things about Terri that he hadn’t before. Now, can he convince her that his sudden romantic interest has nothing to do with trying to build up her confidence after the attack?

Friend : A College Romance (What Happens on Campus Book 3) by M L Sparrow
This was a wonderful book, it pulled me right in. Terri, who we met in a previous book in this series, is a very independent, smart, reliable, and strong woman. She has went through a traumatic experience and it’s hard for her to navigate how to deal with it and how to ask for help when she needs it because it’s not something she is comfortable doing. Her best friend Jet has always been there for her but she has secretly had a crush on him for the last three years. He wants to be there for her and help her he just isn’t sure what’s the best way to go about doing that, but that doesn’t stop him from trying. These two are so adorable and I found myself wanting the best for them. There are characters from the previous books in this book and I love that. This is a must read if you want to know if these two find love together.
Friend : A College Romance (What Happens on Campus Book 3) by M L Sparrow. Another great story by an author who knows what readers are looking for. While yes this story does have some hard subjects that can cause triggers but the author took the time to write them well. The characters are complex and relatable. Jet And Terri are characters that draw you in and make you sad when the story ends. I was definitely taken on an emotional roller coaster journey. Each character brings something different to the story and you just get lost in the story world the author created. Five stars all the way. Highly recommend!
Friend (What Happens on Campus Series Book 3) by M L Sparrow. This is the 3rd book in the What Happens on Campus series and I loved it! Its the story of Terri Murphy a down to earth student who is down to earth and the twin of Riley that we met in the previous book Flirt. She is very independent so when she experiences a life changing attack she is thrown off her game. She is emotionally traumatized and doesn’t know if she will ever get back to her old self. She has had a crush on her best friend Jet Chang since they were Freshmen but he has always just wanted to be friends. When he cancels his plans for Spring Break and stays at school to help Terri regroup and be a support for her his feelings change. Can he make Terri believe that he really feels differently about her and will she be able to conquer her fears to try a relationship with Jet? Read Friend to find out!
This college based romance is just what the doctor ordered. I loved reading about Terri and Jet and found this story gripping and just the right amount of romance and suspense. Will these friends ever be more? I loved reading to find out what would happen to these two. Well written, I look forward to going back and reading the rest of the series.
Friend (What Happens on Campus Series #3) by M.L. Sparrow
5 out of 5 stars
Friend is the third book in What Happens on Campus series written by Ms. Sparrow. Friend is an adult sports /nerd romance that hits all the right spots. We get to see plenty of action on this campus. The characters are well written and are mature for their ages especially what they have been through. The plot was believable with college kids and their struggles and triumphs. We also get to see the awesome characters from the other books
Terri Murphy and Jet Chang have been best friend for the last three years. Teri has always had a crush on Jet but he never saw her like that. When Terri is attacked on campus it leaves her feeling shattered and vulnerable. Now with everyone else heading off for Spring Break, the only person that’s left is the only one she wants around anyway, Jet.
Jet decides to stay on campus rather than go home for Spring Break as planned and sets about trying to help Terri put herself back together and distracting her with fun-filled days out. However, when he looks away from his laptop and the career as an author he’s trying to carve out for himself, he notices things about Terri that he hadn’t before.
Can Terri get her confidence back or will she fall into a depression? Can Jet help Terri? Will Jet be able to convince Terri that he really is in love with her or will she turn him away? Will they have the confidence to tell each other how they really feel.
I highly recommend this book/series….

I’m sad to see this series end, but glad I got to read it! Do not read these out of order, it helps to set the story and feel for this book.
Terri has loved Jet for as long as she’s been at school with him, but he’s to blind to see it until he’s lifted out of the fog he puts himself in.
This book deals with a traumatic event and was handled well in this book as it’s a very real thing that happens way too often.
I will be reading more from this author!
I am truly sad to see this series end. However, I couldn’t have pictured a more perfect way for it to do so. I am a sucker for college romances and this What Happens on Campus College Romances from M.L. Sparrow has quickly become a favorite of mine. You MUST read these books in order for you to fully understand what is going on.
Friend, focuses on Jet and Terri and where things go after she is left to cope in the aftermath of a horrible trauma. These two really are the perfect match for each other and it truly makes reading their story that much more enjoyable to see the obvious chemistry between the two from the very get go. Terri has a long road full of obstacles and growth in order for her to be able to feel normal again after her attack. Jet lifts her up in all the swoon worthy ways and helps put her pieces back together perfectly. I absolutely love these two and I am sad to see their story conclude but know it all worked out for the best. I look forward to seeing what will come next from M.L. Sparrow. Whatever it is, I’m going to scoop it up asap!
Friend: A College Romance by M.L. Sparrow is the third book in the What Happens on Campus series.
Yet again this author has written a book that is not only engaging and interesting but has brilliant characters. Out of all the books I have read by her this one has to be my favourite so far! I loved the connection between Jet and Terri and I loved watching his understanding grow over his feelings towards her. It was also great to see how Terri developed over the course of the book and how her experience gave her a new type of understanding.
Yes this is a book that could have triggers for some people however in my opinion the author handled it perfectly. This is a fantastic book and one I cannot recommended d highly enough.

Friend: A College Romance is the third book in the What Happens on Campus series by M.L Sparrow. This is a friends to lovers/college romance with some drama, emotion, friendship, and more. As expected from reading quite a few of Ms. Sparrow’s other books, this story is really well written- and the storyline will definitely pull you in, so before you know it- you’ll be hooked.
The characters are crafted so well- becoming fully realised and complex individuals who were very realistic and entirely believable- having their own personalities, quirks and flaws.
We met Terri Murphy in the previous book, “Flirt”, as she is Riley’s Twin. She experienced a very traumatic event which has left her emotionally wrought. She is normally the calm, steady, reliable, and grounded twin- with a fierce independent streak- so needing, and asking for help, is all new to her. She struggles with her situation, and ‘moving on’ from the attack. So, when everyone heads off for Spring Break she stays behind- but so does her best friend, Jet. She’s had a secret crush on him for the past 3 years, but he’d only seemed interested in friendship. He aspires to become an author and has put all his focus and energy into achieving his dream. But he feels for his friend and what she has been through, and he wants to take her mind off her troubles and distract her, as best he can. As they spend time together having fun, he begins to realise how much more there is to appreciate about her. Feelings being to develop. But he will need to convince her that his new-found interest isn’t just a ruse to try and make her feel better. Will he convince her that his romantic interest is real? Will they risk their friendship and take a chance on love? What does fate have in store for these two? This story is well worth the read to find out!!
Thank you, Ms. Sparrow!

Friend is the third book in the What Happens on Campus series and was a great addition to what has been a fantastic to read series! The books do however need to be read in order in my opinion. Terri’s story was a really emotional read – she was always so sure of herself until the attack that she encounters. Although this made her feel vulnerable I thought she still had this strength about her that I admired and this clearly attracted Jet to her even though he has always maintained that he wanted nothing more than friendship. I really liked this pairing – it just felt right in my opinion. I think he genuinely did want to help re-build her confidence in light of what happened and this just opened his eyes to maybe wanting more from than just friendship.
As always, with this author, I was fully invested in what I was reading from beginning to end and I am really looking forward to more from M.L. Sparrow in the future!

Friend (What Happens on Campus Series Book 3) by M L Sparrow is a great read. It can not be read as a standalone and must be read in order with the other books of the series. I love that it highlights Jet and Terrie in this novel. The storyline focuses on how their friendship changes after a traumatic event happens to Terri. She struggles with her personal bubble and self esteem greatly after being attacked. She was a very realistic character and so was Jet. I really enjoyed their development.
This book was easy to follow and organized well. I had no problem distinguishing when Jet was the lead or when Terri was the lead. It was also edited well. I love the cover the author chose for this novel. I really enjoyed reading this novel.
This is a friendship to relationship book that I enjoyed. I think this is my favorite yet of this author’s books. I was pulled right into the story from the beginning. It was an emotional read in parts and does have a couple of triggers but you will find a great romance story. Terri wanted everything until she was attacked at college. Now she feels lost and shattered. Jet has been her friend but what will happen when he starts noticing things about her? I highly recommend this book.
