Frey could have had a decent story line but it was lost in a lot of inner monologues and passing out for no apparent reason. Frey goes down at the drop of a hat. It’s never explained if it’s because she’s bound or if she’s just a very weak person that can’t handle even the slightest shock. There’s also the problem of her never being able to speak. …
I highly enjoyed this book. I loved how I couldn’t figure out what was going to happen next the whole time. It kept me guessing 🙂 I need to get the rest to find out what happens now
Truly LOVED this book!
Well written and reasonably immersive.
Good read
Great book, but a little confusing at times. I read 2nd and 3rd book also .
This book met the expectations of a fantasy genre and was an exciting read that invested you in the main character. I enjoyed it.
Loved this book.Good author, will read more of her books.
The story line was confusing and the dialogue fairly juvenile.
A gripping tale, memory fragments come and go, is he friend or foe? or do you owe him more than you can ever repay? Did you kill all his people? why are your tallents bound? why are they hunting you? Can you free your yourself? What would you find out? It is one powerful book….series…
A great get away from reality.
This is a great fantasy series. I can’t wait to read the next one. It was magical.
Interesting. Looking to find out more. I got the audio version and listened to it while walking. Made time fly by.
The book was mildly enjoyable but I wouldn’t bother spending full price in the next in the series.

Good book. The only thing I would change is to have it move a little faster.
Frey is not my normal genre for reading pleasure. On a whim I selected it and very much enjoyed the read. Refreshing. Great characters. Emotionally connecting story that draws you in. I certainly recommend trying this book out!
It was confusing in spots, but overall it was entertaining.
Young adult and not very well written
Frey is an elf, but she is an outsider. She can’t do magic like the others. One day she does something bad and is then on the run with the help of Chevelle and a few others.
I liked the story but there were a few plot holes I’m not sure of yet. They might be addressed in the next book which I will have to put in my ever-growing TBR pile.
