There are some things you just have to deal with.Like your hot as hell college booty call moving in next door with his adorable daughter. The only time we’ve ever gotten along is under the sheets. Old habits die hard because two minutes on my front porch is how long it takes us to bicker. Not that a little fact like that bothers my healthy, eighty-year-old grandmother and roommate who’s determined … roommate who’s determined to see me married before she bites the dust.
Unfortunately for me, she’s got her eye set on Mason Black.
She’s barking up the wrong tree. He’s not The One, no matter how much I swoon when I see him with his daughter. I have no intentions of rekindling anything with him–until a rubber spider in my mailbox starts off the mother of all neighborhood prank wars, just like the ones we had in college, and throws me right into his path.
One that leads right to his bedroom…

Frenemies is the latest romantic comedy from Emma Hart that will have you in stitches laughing one moment, and swooning in the next. Emma Hart really steps it up with this second chance, enemies to lovers story.
Frenemies follows the story of Imogen and Mason. Imogen is pretty happy with the life she leads. She’s a starving artist who runs her families art studio and puts up with her meddlesome grandmother. Grandma Jen is determined to find a suitor for Imogen before she dies, and unfortunately for Imogen, she’s got her sights set on their new neighbor. However, their neighbor is anything but a stranger. Imogen knows him up close and personal. He’s the guy who never called and took her heart when he left. But, no matter how hard Imogen tries to stay away from Mason, fate keeps throwing these two back together. Will Mason be able to convince Imogen that he made a mistake and win her back?? There’s only one way to find out….
Frenemies is a laugh out loud good time. This book sucked me in from the very first page and kept me begging for more. I loved Imogen and her family. Her grandma Jen and friends were hilarious. I loved how nosey and meddlesome they were. Grandma Jen really took her antics seriously and wouldn’t let anything stop her from being matchmaker!
And then we’ve got Mason….Yeah, Mason messed up big time. Him & Imogen were only supposed to be a booty call all those years ago, but somehow along the way, feelings got involved. And when Mason left town, he took Imogen’s heart with him. And now that fate has connected these two again, Mason isn’t about to let Imogen slip away. Mason not only had a heart of gold, but was a terrific dad. I loved how real and honest his relationship was with his ex. I liked that they were able to still remain friends and co-parent without all of the drama. I knew that Mason would be a terrific match for Imogen, if only should forget the past. And last but not least, we’ve got Imogen. She’s a starving artist who caters to her grandma & her crazy friends. She’s got a good heart and a snarky attitude. I loved her smart wit and the banter she had with Mason. The tension between them was delicious and I couldn’t wait to see how their story would end.
Overall, Frenemies is a terrific read to spend your day getting lost in. You’ll laugh. You’ll swoon. You’ll find yourself shaking your head. This book was such a good time, I never wanted it to end. And the best part, there was absolutely no drama!!
If you’re looking for a fun and entertaining romantic comedy, look no further. Frenemies is the romance that you’ve been waiting for!

This was an extremely light hearted book, if your stuck in a rut between books or just need something that would be be ‘lite’ enough to read and easy to concentrate on.
This was a very enjoyable read and I’m glad I came across it!
Completely Recommend!
This is so dang cute and fun!
Frenemies, is a hilarious frenemies to lovers, neighbors, single dad, second chance romance. Immy and Mason were so much fun to watch! From their prank war to their hilarious banter, and then their steamy hot chemistry, their relationship was so cute, funny, and swoony!
I live for the secondary characters in this authors books. They always add so much to the story and make me laugh out loud! Immy’s Grandma Jen absoluely killed me! She was so loud, funny, pushy, and was all up in everyone’s business.
Oh my gosh, I can’t wait to get my hands on Number Neighbor in March! Hanna’s story is going to be so great, I can tell already.
Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.
I loved Emma Hart’s “Frenemies,” a funny, charming, and sweet second chance romance featuring likeable, well-developed main characters. The male lead character, Mason, was endearing, sexy, and a great dad. Basically, he was the whole package, every girl’s dream boyfriend, and I can’t believe the female lead character, Immy, was able to resist him for as long as she did! In addition, Mason’s relationship with his daughter Maya’s mom, Fran, was really lovely. It was refreshing to see a depiction of a healthy co-parenting relationship rather than one where the two sides were constantly at odds. Maya was an adorable little girl, and I’m sure that was mostly because her parents worked so well together to make her needs their top priority.
The female lead character, Imogen or Immy for short, was a lot of fun even if she was a bit hot-tempered at times. She was very good with Mason’s daughter, and I liked that she took Maya’s feelings into consideration before jumping into a new relationship with Mason. She may also have been using Maya as an excuse because she was scared that Mason would hurt her again the way he did in college, but I could tell that she genuinely cared about Maya and was afraid that she would be hurt if things between Immy and Mason didn’t work out.
Immy and Mason’s prank war was totally juvenile but tremendously amusing. They were like kids pulling each other’s hair to get attention because they refused to just come out and admit that they liked each other. I also loved Immy’s matchmaking Grandma Jen; she was completely outrageous, but unapologetically herself, and I want to be just like her when I grow up. The conversations Jen had with her friends during their “book club” meetings were absolutely hysterical, especially the one involving nipple clamps.
I also enjoyed getting to know Immy’s cousin/BFF, Hannah. I look forward to reading more about her in the next book, along with Isaac the hot British vet, and of course, more Grandma Jen!

Wow !!!
Frenemies is one of those books you know is going to special from the first page, I was captivated by this fun entertaining read and I’m sure you will be too.
Imogen and Mason used to be friends, well actually they were friends with benefits but when college finished Mason disappeared without even a goodbye….
Fast forward a few years and Mason has just moved with his daughter to a new neighbourhood, little does he know his next door neighbour is his old friend Imogen only now she is more like an enemy……
Will this couple pick up where they left off …….
A funny, witty read with amazing characters, I loved Imogen and Mason and what can I say about the witty meddling grandmother and the adorable little girl who has some great one liners apart from together this cast make for a perfect read. If you are looking for a book that will make you laugh and leave you with a big smile on your face look no further than Frenemies. I highly recommend this latest addition from Emma Hart.

Another gem from one of my favourite authors of this genre, a hilarious start to this year! Read on and you won’t be disappointed, be prepared to snort, giggle and laugh.
When Imogen finds out that the ex who ghosted her in college moves in next door, not only do sparks fly, but also water balloons and flour bombs. Add to that a very nosey and interfering grandma with no filter and you have the perfect set up for some very funny scenarios. Happy managing the family business albeit a love life found lacking, Immy’s life isn’t exactly boring because living with grandma Jenn gives her heart a jumpstart every day.
Our hottie hero Mason Black is a lawyer and single dad to a precocious four-year-old girl. All is well with his ex partner and is actually on friendly terms with her and her fiancé. He is in for a shock though when he finds out his new neighbour is his former bonking buddy Immy. There was no closure between them so he owes her an explanation.
What I love about Mason and Imogen’s story is that there is no third party drama and no angsty heartache. However, with their history they both needed closure because they need to move on…or do they? Their characters can be silly sometimes with all the pranks which I felt a bit childish for a couple in their late twenties but it sure provided the giggles in the book.
This is a fast-paced standalone romance told in dual points of view. The secondary characters, especially Grandma Jen is the root cause of all riotous scenes with her BDSM book club buddies. I hope I will have their chutzpah when I reach that age because they sound like a lot of fun and mischief. Maya, Mason’s little girl, is the icing on the cupcake and she provides the cuteness factor to their story. This book is full of witty dialogue, sharp and sexy banter and a lot of quotable quotes from Grandma Jen and her posse of old biddies.
If you’re saddened by all the bad news going on in the world, this romantic comedy is the perfect escape from reality. Pure hilarity, sweet romance and steamy sex scenes are all offered in this novel. What more can you ask for? I highly recommend this book!
A fun flirty romance story that has a lot of banter between the two lead characters with jokes all around but there’s also a side character that will have you laughing a lot. A good friends to enemies and to maybe more…
Imogen and Mason used to be friends but also had something more than friendship. They lost track of one another and Imogen never thought she would see him again. Now a few years later, there’s a new neighbor in town and they are reunited but it’s not a very welcome reunion between them as Imogen still hasn’t forgotton how he never called her. Even though there’s still something lingering and there’s a flirty banter between them, it’s not easy for Imogen to let her guard down. But even after all these years, it’s hard to deny the attraction towards Mason. Will she be able to put the past to rest?…
***5 Stars***
This was a such a fun read that was filled with great characters, a good dose of crazy and a whole bunch of heart that it made it so easy to get lost in the story that I was quite put out when there were no more words to read.
I loved Mason and Imogen aka Immy. They are both really good people with really good hearts and had me wishing I could be friends with them myself.
Their frenemies to lovers second chance romance was a lot of fun to experience. Their shared past does made things a bit bumpy and old wounds to get re-opened, but it also drew them together (along with a little outside help) and made them confront what happened and be honest with each other about where their hearts and heads were at. The chemistry between them was hot, their bantering was a lot of fun and I really liked how everything turned out for them.
With a title like Frenemies and the knowledge that prank wars would be apart of the storyline, I was prepared for a full on OTT romcom, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it didn’t go that far. Oh, the pranks were awesome, but the focus was truly on letting go of the past and reaching for the future you want. And as for the supporting cast of characters, I loved them all Fran and Matt were awesome, Maya was adorable and I cannot wait for Hannah’s book to drop. But the stars of the book were Jen and her stalker crew. These ladies were amazing and I cannot wait to see what they get up to in the next!

Frenemies was a fun and light read. I always enjoy second chance romance novels, and this one was no different. Immy and Mason dated in college and now, 6 years later, they’re suddenly neighbours, but there are a whole bunch of new things about them. Namely, Mason has a 3 year old daughter.
I liked the way that this was an easy going read. Whilst there are some old hurts and feelings from the past, and these two snarking at each other, it wasn’t too over the top, which I sometimes find in books. It was kind of a just an addition to their personalities, ones that hadn’t changed too much over the years.
There are so many fun things about this book, from Grandma Jen, to Maya, to prank wars. And how can I forget the book club? A really nice and fun read, and definitely recommend.
Oh, and I look forward to the next book, which I believe is about Hannah…he he he.
In true Emma Hart fashion she gave us an absolutely fun, witty and entertaining read from beginning to end! From the very first chapter I was smiling and laughing from Imogene and her grandmother’s snarky relationship and banter but the pranks between Immy and Mason….OMGEEE!!! Immy and Mason had a physical relationship in college but fell apart when Mason graduated and left her behind. Neither would admit their feelings for each other but what happens when fate brings them face to face 6 years later? Can they rekindle what they thought they once lost? If you want a book that will have you enjoying page after page of one hilarious read then one-click Frenemies today!
Emma Hart never fails to deliver on the heart and humor when it comes to her books, and I’m happy to say that Frenemies lived up to expectations. It was a cute story that kept me interested from the first to last page. It was fun with plenty of heat and some full-on sexy banter.
Imogen meets Mason again after six years when he and his young son become her neighbor. It’s not exactly love at first sight but with Imogen’s grandma pulling some strings in the background, it was clear she wasn’t getting away from him any time soon.
Mason was a wonderful, sweet and caring dad. He’s the book boyfriend we all want to keep for ourselves. One-Click this little gem and swoon your heart out.
Frenemies is everything I love about Emma Hart’s stories. There are likable characters, crazy shenanigans and plenty of hilarious banter. Imogen and Mason haven’t seen each other in six years and they didn’t part on good terms. Now, he is her new neighbor and her grandma has some tricks up her sleeve.
Mason is a single father and moves to be closer to his daughter (who is super adorable). His neighbor is his college hook up and her wild grandma. Imogen has her hands full with her job and keeping her grandmas book club in line. I LOVE the banter between Mason and Immy from the start and throw in the pranks it will add to even more laughs.
There is some major chemistry between these two, but after their past Immy isn’t took keen on the idea of Mason. Though, things change and from there it is history.
Frenemies is classic Emma Hart. This book is light and will have you laughing from the very first page to the very last page. A MUST READ.
Mason and Immy are the definition of frenemies. They both like each other, bug would rather be stubborn and sassy about it. I must say I did really enjoy the fun and sassy side they had. It was very amusing to see them try to work through it all. Add to that Immy’s crazy grandma and Mason’s super cute daughter and it made for a really fun read. I was crazy entertained and practically read it in one day!
What a great book by Emma, it was entertaining, adorable and full of love! This enemies to love story is one of the best by far that I’ve read! 5 funny stars for this one!
Meet Imogen, she lives with her grandma Jen, and runs an art store in town. When the new neighbor moves in next door, she can’t believe her eyes, what the heck is he doing there!
Meet Mason, just moved into the the house next door to the one woman he didn’t plan on ever seeing again!
Read along with their story, as they try to navigate what’s happening around them, you will fall in love with the cast of characters in this one and I look forward to more with this crew soon I hope? lol Enjoy!
What an absolute blast this was reading about Imogen and Mason.
Frenemies was a highly entertaining, enjoyable, witty story.
I loved the characters so much, I wanted to be friends with them. Especially Imogen’s grandma, she was a hoot. The banter was well done and the storyline had my attention from start to finish.
Immy hasn’t seen Mason for six years. Now he’s her neighbour and oh boy the conversations in this book are downright entertaining!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and didn’t want it to end. Mason is such a caring single dad with a heart of gold, and with how they left things all those years ago, do feelings come to the surface again?? How does grandma’s interventions affect things? She was a definite force to be reckoned with and someone to have in your corner.
Frenemies to lovers or bust!! What do you think would happen?? Go 1 -click to find out!!!Loved it!
