It started with a parking ticket . . .Who knew helping her out of that one little slip of paper would turn my world upside down?I don’t do commitment.Yet I can’t seem to stay away from her.And that’s a problem.Because when there’s feelings involved, somebody always gets hurt. She’s hiding something. I know it.But when the truth comes out, will it set us free?Or will it send everything up in flames? will it send everything up in flames?

Trish and Andrew
Very well written story of families coming together to save each other. This book is emotionally hard to read. So much pain in everyone’s life. Well worth the tears to see their futures.
New author for me, but Graham Claire has made it to my favorite author list. First off, there is an actual story with loveable and quirky characters who become a part of your friend circle. The concept of a woman living in a homeless shelter due to spousal abuse and then running a successful business of a food cart lead to enjoyable days on the food cart. Delightful story of helpful charitable people PLUS a romantic story that isn’t overdone with ridiculous sexual stories. RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY!
Enjoyed reading!
It was too dark about her past
Loved this book and author. Became invested in characters and ordered other books by this author
No, no, no. Not an enjoyable book at all. Dark, disgusting, and unrealistic. Really, after 5 YEARS of torture and abuse she’s ready to date? Awful!
This book has the perfect blend of romance, humor, emotion and suspense. I stayed up until 2 AM (on a work day no less) to finish it!
It’s nothing like I have read before. The characters are many layered and truly fascinating. Their stories are real world of today yet so involved with each other. I could not put it down!
This might make a good segment of the TV series SVU. This is more a story of a woman who is living in a women’s rescue shelter and starting to put her life together. You will get to know some of the women who life with her and some of the people who support her. The focal woman’s evil husband is initially in jail. Putting her life together has her running a food truck and she meets people who get involved.
One of the involved people is part of a family that has never recovered from being abandoned by the mother after the birth of the 3rd child. While this has some involvement in this story, it is mostly basis for future stories about the other members of the family.
This was long and had more focus on battered women syndromes. Way too much content that was actually part of future stories vs this one. The sex is in the final chapters and those who don’t like that kind of writing can feel free to skip it.
It was a wonderful story until the last few chapters. It then became steamy with disgusting foul words that weren’t necessary to the story line.
As usual, Grahame Claire wrote a fabulous book. The writing flowed very well, all of the characters were on-point, there was the difficult situation that needed to be dealt with, and then the satisfying conclusion. I definitely recommend Free Me!
I have been sitting on this book for a while. I got an arc and I was so excited to read it. Then I was asked to sew face masks for a local hospital. I had to put my reading on hold for a whole two weeks. I have never went that long without reading ever….. (I did cheat a bit by listening to audible rereads while sewing) As soon as I caught a break in sewing I dived into Free me and was totally captivated. I finished it in 10 hours. OMG it was so good. Emotional and addictive I couldn’t wait to unravel Trish and Andrew’s story.
Trish first showed up as a side character in the Paths to love series. So I already knew a bit about her. Then her story started and blew me away. Trish’s back story was heartbreaking. I loved how strong she was. She was brave and smart. She didn’t let her past hold her back and I loved that. Andrew I loved. He wasn’t perfect. He had a hard past too and it colored his actions. Still he was protective, sweet, and a all around great guy. Trish and Andrew had a sweet slow burn love. I loved them together. There was great character development. I not only love but, I fell in love with some secondary characters as well. Especially Andrew’s family. Overall it was a amazing read, the only problem I had with it was I would have liked about 50 more pages at the end. It felt a tad rushed after they resolved their issues. Other than that it was perfect and it was a real treat after not reading for 2 weeks.
This book haunted me. I thought about it long after I had to put it down for the night. I thought about it until I picked it up again to finish it. It became a part of my day, my hour, my minute. Trish’s story is not for the faint, but her perseverance will keep you locked in and rooting for her and Andrew. I want to share more, but to share requires spoilers, and this book needs to be read without an ounce of expectation. You just need to know it’s worth it! The hardships may make you cringe, but the friendships keep you smiling. Seeing all my favorites again kept a smile on my face the entirety of the book. Discovering I could love a whole new crew as much as I loved the original crew was a wonderful surprise. I can’t wait to see what this new series brings. I loved the Dixons. There isn’t a secondary character I don’t want to know more about. Not one, and that’s the truth. But that’s what Grahame Claire does. They make you care. They make you bleed, love, and swoon over every last character they’ve created. I want more. I want more of everyone. I would read a thousand page book just to have more.
5+ stars
A Must Read. Fantastic story of a blossoming love between two people with hardships.
Paths of Purpose saved Trish and her baby’s lives. She had something horrendous happen to her by her husband and she has to hide out.
She’s made friends there and has gotten to know the people from Paths of Love series. She has a new family that takes care of her and baby Ella who is a character. Ella makes herself known.
Andrew comes to Trish’s rescue at her food truck. They sense an attraction between each other but it’s a slow one.
Trish’s dream is the food truck, she loves making food and watch people enjoy it. She makes deserts and hopes to one day be able to open a restaurant and a bakery for her and her daughter.
This book is a great read and has such wonderful previous and new characters. You can’t help but love them.
Unfortunately, Trish’s nightmare comes back into her life and it’s time for all the guys to come to her rescue. And the wives of the guys to keep guard of Ella and keep a vigil for Trish.
There are laughs, enjoyment, adventure, tears, dread and so many other emotions that this book bring about.
I reiterate, a must read and enjoy this book from Grahame Claire.
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I couldn’t put the book down once I started reading it. I loved Trish and Andrew’s story. Grahame Claire did it again! Can’t wait to see what is next in the series. I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Andrew was enchanted with Trish from their first meeting and was even willing to put his skills as lawyer to the test to come to her rescue. He knows that she has her secrets, but he is hoping that the more time they spend together the more that she will trust him both with her past and her future.
Trish has escaped a painful past and has created a new life for herself and her daughter. She now owns a food truck which not only allows her to do what she loves but gives her a sense of security. She is nervous about letting Andrew in her life, but his patience has him breaching the walls she has built around herself.
Andrew and Trish are compelling characters who draw you in and have you invested in their happy ever after. This is an emotional story about love, healing and new beginnings that will captivate you until the last page.
Trish has had a difficult time in her life and you immediately realize it when you notice she’s living at Paths of Purpose. Her goal is to stay focus on making something of herself for a better life for and her little girl but at the same time she must be discreet and stay away from the danger lurking in the shadows.
Andrew has been busy with his career and has no desire for relationships until one day he saves a beauty from getting a parking ticket and realizes, he wants to continue seeing Trish and possibly ask her out.
This book is a roller-coaster of emotions and the main issue Trust! Trusting in yourself and finding trust in others.
Grahame Claire branched out into this new series and its great to see the past characters intertwine with everyone.
Beautiful, second chance story that packs an emotional punch. Well developed characters make this a great read! Loved it and can’t wait to see what is next in the series.
An incredible well written emotional heartfelt suspenseful romance story. This engaging storyline is a standalone with characters from the Paths to Love series thar are mixed within this story. It’s a romantic love story that was fun suspenseful leaving me on the edge of my seat with twists and turns, trust issues, love, and romance. The characters are interesting and well developed with amazing personalities and humor. I voluntarily read and reviewed this fantastic ARC.
I was drawn in from the beginning, so many twists, that kept me guessing till the end. I thought Free Me was a intriquing, fun, angsty, love story. The characters Trish and Andrew were likeable, and they had good chemistry. Trish is one heck of a woman! So glad she has the support she needs to move forward in her life. However I got to say, the secondary characters were just as good. They might not have the same blood but they were a family, banter that made me laugh, and love. This is my first book I have read from Grahame Claire, and I’m kicking myself for not doing it sooner. I will be going and devouring the other books now.
