What a wonderful story of love! Trish is a single mom living in a shelter and trying to make something out of her life as sh is operating a food truck. One day she meets Andrew, a successful lawyer and he is smitten by Trish. These two characters have trust issues and as they slowly open up about them, they get closer and heal a part of themselves. A wonderful story of love. I honestly volunteered to review this amazing story.
Excellent!!
This book is a spin off of the Paths to Love Series. Trish and Andrew’s story will make you ugly cry but it is a not put down-able read.
I read a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary review.
This book me all kinds of emotional, it was intense one minute then sweet the next. The things that Trish endured were horrible and she suffers from post traumatic stress disorder, but the strength she has is amazing. She works hard to give her and her daughter a better life, she helps other’s without hesitation, and she is sweet no matter how dark her past is. Andrew sees her and how strong she is and he is immediately taken with her. He was such a sweet and loving guy, he was tender with Trish when he could tell she was iffy about some things, and he took his time to get to know her. I loved everything about this story because it showed us how to fight for the things we want in life, how to overcome obstacles, and how to love again even if the past tries to hold you back. I loved the family dynamic all the friends were and the Dixon family was just as precious and in this Trish found a family of her own. I can’t wait for more.
Trish is slowing trying to get her life back with the help of the few people she trusts. Andrew comes to her rescue when Officer Wilson comes to write her a ticket for her food truck being on the street after hours. Something about Andrew makes her feel safe. Will she get the chance to move on our will her past destroy any chance at happiness?
I have read every book these ladies have written and love each one more than the last. Free me brings us Trish who we met in Thick as Thieves and introduces Andrew and his crazy, loving family. We also get to spend some time with other favorites from the Paths to Love series. Grahame Claire brings us some really tough situations that their characters have endured. They will break your heart and put it back together again. Free Me is all about healing and love. Looking forward to Free Book 2.
This book is amazing! It is full of heart and excitement. You will be drawn into the story and will not be able to put this book down. Trish is a strong and fearless woman who lives at Paths of Purpose with her little one. After escaping a nightmare she begins to rebuild her life. She owns and runs a very popular food truck. Andrew after leaving work sees a police officer and scared woman. Trish was a couple minutes late getting the truck moved for the night so the officer was going to write a ticket. Andrew went to help and couldn’t help but want to get to know Trish more. He started to go by the food truck everyday. Trish slowly learns to trust again and becomes friends with Andrew and his family. She is always looking over her shoulder because her nightmare is still a threat. You have to read to see if Trish can really become free. Will Andrew stick around once he finds out her past?
This book was perfect. While this book covers some extremely dark themes, the story handles them beautifully. Trish is so strong and is a great example of a strong woman. She had a really bad hand dealt to her and she handled it all gracefully. I especially loved how this story showed that recovery for most situations has set backs and times when it feels like your moving backwards instead of forwards. I loved Andrew and Trish’s story, and I hope to see them in future stories!
Free Me….will.blow.your.mind!!! Pure unadulterated fear, heart racing terror and yet always looking at the bright side…this book had me all over the place and I still didn’t want it to end!! LOVED IT
Omg I couldnt wait for this story! Trish is always upbeat, positive and loves Delores, her food truck. The story incorporates her day to day routine, cooking, bantering with her regular customers. The beat cop, Mr Grumpy, Mills, And the Lawyer.Andrew., are all regular customers that leave a mark in her life. Andrew is very interested in her, but when he finds out one major secret, he decided he cant be with her. Trish reverts back to panic attacks, and flashbacks that terrify her, all because of one dreaded phone call, This is a standalone, but the characters from the Paths to Love series are intertwined within this story. The loud family group is there to help and protect Trish anyway they can.
Grahame Claire has a way with making this a wonderful story to read from fun to suspenseful. I received an ARC and offering my honest review.
I loved this book. Edge of your seat-nail biter, but with a happy ending. Could be a true story, a reminder to be ever aware.
DNF @ 11% very bored. Do not care about the main characters or the romance at all. Super predictable from the start.
This book was very emotional! Trish has been through so much in her life, but she still wants to trust Andrew with her heart. He’s afraid to let her in completely, but doesn’t seem to have a choice. This book could have several triggers (abuse and homelessness) for some readers. It doesn’t end in a cliffhanger and you won’t be sorry you took the time to read it!
This book was just ok for me. I struggled to finish it. Not enough romance for me.
It started off a bit slow but I loved how you didn’t get all the facts from the beginning. I fell in love with Andrew and how good he is and it was a bit annoying when he stopped being his caring self cause his ego got bruised. Cause sometimes you need to understand that there is always more to a story.
Trish is such a sweetheart and it was hard to read some of the things she had to go through but I do think that it was worth it. Sometimes a romance novel is about meeting the right one at page one and then just live happily ever after but life isn’t that easy and sometimes you just want to read a book where they do have to work on getting to their happy ever after. I didn’t really like Trish lying about having a daughter but after reading her story and what she went through I get why she did.
Over all I do recommend this book and I know that I’m probably not making much sense with my rambling but read it!
Free Me is the first book in the Free series. It is a contemporary romance with a slow burn, insta-love trope. Triggers: Rape and Human Trafficking is talked about in this story. Even though this book has it dark parts and it’s sweet parts be prepared to be on an emotional roller coaster. The story was well written with memorable characters, the secondary characters pulled it all together and a the sweet HEA brought tears.
Andrew Dixon saved me from getting parking ticket after I closed up for the evening. Something about him interests me and somehow I know he won’t hurt me. I’m a single mom, trying to start up my food truck business, take care of my daughter and get my life back.
Andrew was drawn to her the minute he looked into her eyes and he doesn’t do commitment. Drew made a point of stopping by her business daily to grab lunch just to see and talk to her. Now, it’s a problem, he can’t stay away and can’t quit thinking about her.
I know I should tell him I’m married and have a baby but I don’t want to lose him. We care for each other but somebody is gonna get hurt. When my past comes crashing back into my life, will he walk away or stick around and Free Me from my memories?
I rarely review books because we all have such different tastes. I received this book free from one of my book clubs, read it, and loved it so much that I immediately purchased several more books by Graham Claire.. I love a good book that gives me all of the feels, has a great story line and keeps me interested. Buy this one, you won’t be disappointed
Loved how this book approached trauma in both of the main characters. It really showed how hard it can be to get past a traumatic event. While Trishs was “worse” than Andrew’s, they still struggled in their own ways. Trish with men. And Andrew with trust. It was amazing reading about these two characters and how they lashed out and started healing. The work put into it. It was also interesting to see the justice system at work in this book. The author really wrote about a situation that happens so often. The justice system fails domestic abuse and sexual assault victims daily. The author really hit home with that. As well as seeing how easy it is for a perpetrator to get loose and find their victims again. Great book with lots of accurate situations.
This is my first Grahame Claire novel. I won a copy in a random draw and was very excited to get reading once it arrived. Free Me is a wonderfully written story of two people, each emotionally scarred, finding each other and struggling to overcome their past pain and move forward. There’s plenty of action, lots of emotion, suspenseful moments galore, and an ultimately satisfying ending full of happiness. The two main characters were surrounded by multiple supporting characters that were very interesting, each bringing their own special contribution and support to the story. I found the book to be easy to read, it held my attention and kept me turning the pages, anxious to know what the outcome would be. This story wasn’t all peaches and cream, but ultimately it was a beautiful romantic tale which I very much enjoyed. I hope to read the next two books in this series since they involve supporting characters from this story. I’m glad I read this book and highly recommend it.
Young woman escapes from pyscho husband and meets ands falls in love with good family man.
Great character development. Sensitive, respectful man dealing with horrible life situation with the women he loves. The story is very compelling.
First time read from this author and unlike any book I’ve ever read.
I felt there were many characters to keep up with in the beginning but once I got a handle of those I thoroughly enjoyed it. I went through all the emotions as the characters did. Read this in 2 nights! Liked that it didnt surround the main characters entirely and loved the banter!
