This isn’t high school. This is a war zone.
It should be just another year for me at Spring Hill High. It’s not. It’s the first of many years…without my brother.Fighting back memories of Brady should be the most difficult thing I have to face while walking the halls of SHH. Instead, those sad reminders become the least of my worries. My brother’s best friends make sure of that. They won’t let me … best friends make sure of that.
They won’t let me heal in peace. In fact, the three star football players—the ones my brother knew all his life—are determined to make me do it their way, or live through hell in the process.
What they don’t understand is, I lived through my brother’s death…that means I can live through anything.
Bring it, hotshots. I’m waiting.
*Though you may be used to seeing reverse harem titles from me, FREE FALL has one alpha hero and one heroine. If you’re waiting for my next RH title, ROCK ON releases in September!

Wow! I loved this book!! This is a little different from every other high school book I have read. I loved the story and the characters. It grabs you from page one and doesn’t let go. I can’t wait to see where this story goes. That ending!!! UGH!! I was not ready for it to be over!
This is the first book in a new series by EM Moore. First off, it’s not RH even though there are three guys. Second, this is a bully romance but it’s different. Briar is stuck in her grief from losing her brother. His three best friends are also dealing with their grief. But not only did they lose their friend Brady, they lost Briar too. She is in no way the same girl she was. Sometimes it takes a little tough love to get through to someone. I will say that at points it was hard to take Briar. She is so lost in her grief that she forgets there are others suffering too. But as long as you remember that you are good. I’m not sure how I feel about the ending though. Not in a hate the book or anything way. I knew it was headed in the direction it was with a certain twist but I’m not sure how the next book is going to go with how we ended up. All in all I really did fall into this new series head first. It sucked me in and kept me until that cliffhanger of an ending. Hopefully we won’t have too long to wait to see what happens next.
Amazing start to a new series! Blair is trying to deal with the sudden death of her brother. She has no idea how to handle her grief, or how to explain that to everyone. Her brothers 3 best friends are trying to help her pick up the pieces, but she doesn’t know how to let them.
This book deals with what I think is a common guilt when dealing with grief. How do you move on after you’ve lost someone you love? And is moving on and finding happiness again a betrayal to your loved one? Finding a new normal is hard, and there’s no right or wrong answer.
The character development in Free Fall was wonderful. Blair, Cade, Lex, and Reid are wonderful, and the supporting cast adds enough drama and angst to keep things interesting. I can’t wait to see where the series goes from here!
* This book is the first installment in a new Bully Romance series and has a cliffhanger. If you enjoy drama, twisted characters, and an angst filled story line, you will love this story. I really like E.M. Moore’s writing style and she does Bully Romance very well. Her characters are always multi layered and I enjoy how they tend to evolve as the plot progresses. A Great Book! 4 Stars!
Ugh. E.M. Moore did it again like always. Got me crying throughout this book! I can’t imagine losing a sibling and then expected to go back to normal. Everyone has their own way of coping. Briar does some questionable things but all she needed was friends. Of course there’s always a bad egg in the bunch aka Sasha that literally only cares about herself. That ending though…ugh!
If I could give this book more then 5 stars I would! Wow it was an incredible story and very well written. I have read a lot of books and I haven’t found one quite like this one yet. The main character Briar is unlike any other charter I’ve found she’s strong but at the same time you can tell she real and deep. What do you do when you lose someone you love and after that loss you start to lose yourself how do you come back from that? How do you learn to put yourself back together? How do you learn to live again and to love again when all you feel is sad and broken? You try to pick the broken pieces back up and put your life back together the best way you know how. This book will shatter you and leave you needing more. I am not a crier and this book had me in tears!!!! You aren’t ready for this book. It is honestly one of the best books I’ve read in a long time!
Shes a shell of her former self. Lost in her grief as she acknowledges life will never be the same again.
They were her brothers teammates, but now hes gone and she cant be around them.
She needs them, but doesnt know it. They need her but cant reach her.
Can they bring her back before shes gone too far… Will she see the truth in their eyes that words cant convey..?
Oh my gosh I was holding my breath by the end of chapter one! what an amazing deep and meaningful read!
The grief, despair, and utter devestation falls off the pages of this book and the words swam so many times, I could of cried a river and still felt their pain in my heart.
Such a profound loss resonates deeply with me, and I knew, just where she was coming from.
There is beauty in sorrow it was once said and it’s true. Though there are harsh and unkind moments, the words are perfect and the combination of angst drama and suffering is so genuine and real in this book.
The boys are all driven by their love of him, and the memories they shared, along with a deep need to reconnect with her, whether its acknowledged or not.
Shes like a wounded creature. Her pain is all she can see, and feel. It’s all so raw. Watching the healing process begin in her was like watching the sunrise.
What a start to a new series! and oh my gosh, the ending hit me like a brick wall! I knew it was coming but was convinced there was more, even if it was only one more page!
I’m dying to know what’s going to happen next! The wait for book two is going to kill me!
I loved all the characters (not Sasha). I loved the way the guys looked out for Briar. She’s swallowed up by grief but her brothers three best friends don’t let her stay consumed. But my favorite thing about this book is watching her heal.
EM Moore has given us a world of heartbreak and healing. She has outdone herself. I seriously can’t wait for book 2!
So beautifully written. The pain, the grief, the healing, you can feel every bit of it. I love every word in this book and could not put it down. Definitely feeling the hangover from this one. Can’t wait for the second book!
This book was completely relatable to me in some aspects. The characters were so easy to get attached to and now all I can think about. The book was very well written and a concept most people can relate to. I loved it even if I cried for like half the book. The evolution of the characters is so well done! I cannot wait for the next one!
This book was hard for me to read at first because the pain was so close to something I’ve gone through, but don’t let that stop you. The pain was realistic and so true that you have to find out what happens.
I received this book as an ARC, but as usual all opinions are my own!
I loved this book! I love that it isn’t a typical bully romance – as in it isn’t the boys bullying her but that’s what she perceives it to be because she’s so stuck in grief. I just love when things aren’t as they seem!
I really genuinely love all the main characters (obviously besides Sasha, ew) and I love their dynamic with each other!
There is grief, sadness, happiness, humor, steam, angst, and sexy times…what else could a gal ask for?? I cannot wait for the next book, after that cliffhanger!
10/10 would recommend
First off I absolutely love our main character’s name, Briar. Completely different than a lot of the names out there including Reid, Cade, and Lex. Anyways, this was a sad story that showed how overcoming loss can lead to more including love. I feel for our MC with losing her family member because that feeling just eats you alive sometimes. The plot was good with us seeing the after effects of who she wanted to be, and then integrating who she was with her brother throughout the story. The sexual tension throughout the book was amazing. Spoiler here but when she sends that semi nude all I kept saying was don’t do it please. And the final page just proved my point. The writing as usual was done amazingly by E.M. Moore with few grammatical issues and well sentence structures. Can’t tell you how often I’ve stopped reading a book because the writing was shit. All characters in my eyes were relatable including the queen witch with a B. So 5 stars to everyone who made this book amazing.
Free Fall takes on the difficult topic of sudden death, and the guilt that comes with continuing to live. Moore didn’t once turn away from the ugly truths of loss, and love and learning to live again. This story is a tear jerker, and a steamy romance… remember we all deal with loss differently!
