From New York Times Bestselling author Emily Goodwin comes an epic second chances love story that will leave you breathless.I’ll never forget the first time I saw Nora Fisher. The way my heart sped up in my chest and blood rushed through every part of me. I was drawn to her the moment our eyes met.She was beautiful.Guarded.Damaged.Just like me.I never meant to hurt the only woman I’ve ever … me.
I never meant to hurt the only woman I’ve ever loved. She was light, and I was dark, casting shadows on everything around me. Letting her go meant spiraling back into the darkness only Nora could pull me from. But I’d sacrifice myself a thousand times for her.
Four years later, she’s back, and the passion she ignites makes the fight for her stronger. But the more I try to make things right, the more I realize how complicated things have become.
And now I’m starting to see that maybe her light was never meant to be mine.

This is such a great story
NO SPOILERS!
Free Fall was a sweet, sexy, heartbreaking, and emotional standalone contemporary romance, and I absolutely loved it! The storyline and characters were amazing, and I loved Emily Goodwin’s writing style. Free Fall was my second novel from Ms. Goodwin, my first was One Call Away, and it was definitely one of my favorites. I’ll be honest, I loved One Call Away more, but Free Fall was still amazing in its own right, and I loved reading it from beginning to end.
Jack and Nora were phenomenal and I loved them and their story so much. I loved their personalities and red-hot chemistry together, and how their relationship progressed throughout. I loved reading the book from both Jack and Nora’s POV, and all of their banter and interactions with each other. Jack and Nora’s journey was unexpected in a lot of ways and more emotional than I anticipated, but I truly enjoyed every minute of it. There were a few things that I didn’t like as much, but there were also a lot that I loved, and I’m so glad that I read their story. Free Fall was amazing, unique, and memorable from start to finish, and I was very happy with the conclusion to Jack and Nora’s story.
Free Fall was a sweet, sexy, heartbreaking, and emotional standalone contemporary romance, and I would highly recommend it! Emily Goodwin did a fantastic job with this book, and I was extremely pleased with the outcome to Jack and Nora’s story. Emily Goodwin is a fairly new author to me, but I have loved the two books I’ve read from her so far, and I can’t wait to devour more!
There is always a beautiful light after the darkness.
Nora has lost everyone she has ever loved and most days she feels lost and all alone.
Her grandmother may still be here, but she is spending her last days in a nursing home. A place she would never have wanted to be. Life is just not fair. She likes her foster family but she knows it is only temporary, and then what will happen to her? For now, she spends her time in the backyard treehouse listening to Tom Petty on her Ipod and reading paranormal books on her Kindle. The only bright spot is Jack, the hot guy who lives next door. She is friends with his sister Veronica, and he drives them to school each morning. The moment their eyes first met she knew he was in as much pain as she was. She felt the immediate need to comfort him. Nora hopes that she can be what Jack needs to bring him back from the emptiness that she sees in his eyes. Maybe he can do the same for her.
Jack’s days are filled with loneliness, hopelessness and frustration. He can’t sleep at night and refuses to take the sleeping pills that his doctor prescribed for him because he hates the way they make him feel. The nightmares are never ending and have taken over his life. He goes to school, meets with his counselor, attends football practice and returns home to his family, who smother him with love but they can’t take away the pain. He thought no one would ever understand him but when he met Nora, he could see the pain in her eyes that he feels in his heart. He looks forward to driving her to school because just being in her presence relaxes him and her beautiful smile helps him get through his day. Jack knows that Nora has her own demons and he wants to be there for her as she adjusts to her new life. Maybe they can be what each other needs to spend every day in the light.
Will Nora accept her new family and allow them to comfort her and take care of her? How will her feelings for Jack affect her life going forward?
Will Jack allow his nightmares to push Nora away? What happened to Jack that he feels unworthy of Nora’s love?
Emily Goodwin is one of my favorite authors and she has given us another outstanding story with her new book, “Free Fall.” You will never forget Nora and Jack’s journey and how their love survived every obstacle that they encountered. This book is emotional, passionate and full of hope, and I am certain that everyone will love it as much as I do.
Wow, wow, wow!!!! I don’t even know if I can express any words right now! This book!!! I can tell you, without a doubt, that this will not be my last read by Emily Goodwin!!! I felt like I was on the adventure of a lifetime! Crying, laughing, pissed off, and most of all feeling the love on every single page!! Jack and Nora have stolen my heart! Their story has stolen my heart! And now I feel at a loss as I’ve finished their story! It was definitely one for the ages and one I won’t soon forget! Love, second chances, happiness…. it’s all real and all possible. You’ve just got to have the right person to do it with!
Nora and Jack make me believe in destiny. These two have both suffered incredible tragedy in their lives. Nora had Mimi, her grandmother, who helped her navigate the loss of her parents but when Mimi becomes ill, Nora finds herself in a foster home. Her new neighbor, Jack, is the sexy senior boy that seems to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders. Nora is the one person that sees past his darkness, and sees the boy within that he has lost. These two find a bond that allows them to navigate the daily challenges of high school but live is never that easy. Their age difference becomes an issue and then when she might give up Berkley, well, Jack makes the ultimate sacrifice. I wanted to punch him for that. Several years later, Nora returns and Jack doesn’t want to let her go again. But he shattered her heart, can she trust him again? He is still battling his own demons; will he give up again afraid he will drag her into his darkness? Beautiful romance about love, sacrifice and forgiveness. Their stories kept me emotionally connected with their journey and anxious to see what path would win. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
