I have a bad habit of picking up book three of a series and then wondering why I’m missing so much information. That said, this book can be read as standalone, you’ll just be wishing you knew more about the other characters.
The blurb is accurate about Beaumont He’s a jerk. Selfish, and often condescending. I really wanted Hutton to put him in his place more firmly than she did. There were moments I thought she was about to, and then she caved to his charm.
Overall this was an enjoyable Rockstar / small-town girl romance. There’s some good intrigue with side characters and lots of steamy love scenes. A fun read! I’ll be exploring more of her stories.
We really are loving the characters in this series and we loved that we finally got to read about the mysterious Beaumont as he had us already intrigued from the first time meeting him and we loved him even more so this time around but, Hutton on the other hand took a little bit of warming up to not that she wasn’t beautiful and kind and caring it was just that she seemed so fragile and had us wondering if she would be capable or even up to the task of loving a man such as Beau who was always in the limelight and so famous and all the baggage that comes with loving a man with said status.
I loved the fierceness and the protectiveness of Beaumont’s friends they were truly his family and always had his back even the women of the men he called family.
I love a story when its about second chances because for Hutton she was only living a half a life without the man she gave her heart away to all those years ago and then you have Beau even though he broke her heart all those years ago has never forgotten her and was always in his thoughts.
This was such a sweet and endearing read and we loved that Beau stuck to his guns and made changes to his health and sobriety and they were the most important things to keeping him on track other than winning back the love of his life.
“He made us so proud as he was such a good man at heart but, got a little bit lost for a bit.”
Although the story started out sad we think that Beaumont made the right choice at the time as he would have never been able to give Hutton all of himself and I think he needed to go through all that he did to become the man that Hutton deserved and the man that he to wanted to be all along.
We loved the chemistry between Hutton and Beau it was sweet and hot and all so romantic.
“This was such a beautiful story and we loved it from beginning to end!”
CONTINUING TO LOVE THIS SERIES! Different from Hayley’s other books that I’ve read involving the multiple MCs she writes about, I have enjoyed the previous two books in this series in addition to this new release! Based on the previous books, it seems that Beaumont has gone through a lot in a short amount of time and hasn’t had time to adjust yet. While he has recognized he has a problem and has gone through the proper channels to start recovery, his past with Hutton is still holding him back. I loved that Hutton was a quiet and shy type of character and it made her extremely relatable for me as a reader. She’s set goals in her life and worked hard to do so in the nine years since Beaumont left her. I love that they reconnected in a surprising way and were able to have a second chance. Another aspect about this series that I love is the friendship between this group of guys. I can’t wait for the next book in this series and who’s next!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

When the “one that got away” shows up again in your world what do you do? When you are Beaumont and Hutton, you decide to not let go this time. These two are destined for a happily ever after if their baggage and past experiences can be overcome. This book has it all, sweetness, sexiness and obstacles that keep these characters working towards what they really want. It was easy to fall in love with Beaumont and Hutton…this was another perfect Unfit Hero!!

Hayley Faiman is without a doubt one of the best authors around. A couple of years ago I happened upon her Notorious Devils Series and was hooked on her writing. Through the Notorious Devils she introduced me to The Russian Bratva Series and the rest is history. All I have to hear is that she’s got a book coming out and I’m one clicking, and right now I’m clicking on her Unfit Hero Series and, once again, I’m loving it! Fraud is the third book in this series and it’s Beaumont and Hutton’s story. I’ll be totally honest, I was a little iffy about Beaumont in the first part of the book. He’s self absorbed and careless with other’s feelings, but then I got to know him and he definitely redeemed himself. Hutton is adorable…sweet, quiet and sexy without realizing it. This book has all the elements of a great Hayley Faiman read…sweet, funny, agonizing at times and sexy beyond imagination…wow! It also brings back all the friends from books one and two…yeah, you really need to read them, fabulous! Loved this book and am looking forward to the next one!
This book. I don’t have the words. Hayley Faiman gives us a story that is so full of heartbreak, healing, and love writing so true to life you can’t help but become fully immersed in the lives of the characters in Fraud. The true beauty comes from the imperfections in Beaumont that I think many, MANY people will relate to.
He is most definitely flawed, but those flaws only serve to show just how incredible he is. There’s no hiding for this man. He owns his struggles and chooses to grow stronger for them in a way that you can’t help but admire. When faced with righting the biggest regret of his past, leaving Hutton, he pulls out all the stops. His determination to get her back will have you swooning.
I haven’t found myself rooting for a couple as strongly as I was cheering for these two in quite some time.
Ten years ago Hutton Baker fell for Beaumont Griffin after watching him perform on stage but one year later he broke her heart with no regrets. Now she still battles with not being able to get over him but has opened her own hairdressing salon and is trying to move on with her life.
Beaumont Griffin once had his heart broken by his ex Chelle and vowed to never let another woman into his heart the way that she was and leaving Hutton was always part of the plan as he knew he would make it big one day. He has battled addiction since leaving his home town and moved to LA for a chance to have his music heard by everyone. Yet slowly his life began to unravel and he finds himself getting out of rehab again and his music label wants him to slow down and reinvent himself.
When Beau and Hutton find themselves face to face again they must deal with the hurt that Beau caused. When Beau asks for another chance with Hutton will she give it to him and will she be willing to put up with the ghosts of his past still having a hold over him?
This was a great book about overcoming the past and letting love in.
My heart broke for Hutton at the beginning of the book as she was completely blindsided by Beau when he broke up with her. The stuff he said to her was so cruel and it made me sad that she was still having trouble getting over him. I was proud of her for following her own dreams and opening her own salon, being her own boss and working with her best friend Laurie.
Beau was such a jerk at the beginning of the book for what he did to Hutton and how he took his anger from Chelle out on her. I hated that he painted them both under the same brush as Hutton wasn’t Chelle or his mom. I was happy that his record label wanted him to clean up his act and I thought the concert ideas were great and I hoped he would be able to turn his life around.
I wondered how fast things would happen between Beau and Hutton once they saw each other again and I wasn’t disappointed. I was worried that Beau was going to struggle with a real relationship and I crossed my fingers that he had grown up.
I was impressed with the change in Beau on the bus and while touring. He really showed that he was serious about staying sober and not wanting to jeopardize his relationship with Hutton. The tension between him and Austin was intense but I liked that Brian had his back.
When things began to get intense for both Beau and Hutton with the press I began to get suspicious over who was involved. Then a few things that happened to Hutton and I was so mad and angry and knew it had to be someone close to Beau. I was shocked at who was involved and why they were.
The end was great and I was so happy that it ended the way I wanted it to but I was left in shock over Laurie!!!
Fraud is the third book in the Unfit Hero series. This time it is Hutton Baker and Beaumont Griffin’s story. Second chance romance.
So this is when I am thankful that I have Killer on my Kindle ready for me to read. I think the ending of Fraud is kind of a soft cliffie in the way you know that all will be good but deed wasn’t completed yet. Yes that is vague, deliberately so.
I have zipped through this series because it has been that good! I have wanted to read each and every book one right after the other.
I am glad to have finally gotten to Beaumont’s story. He knew Hutton from 9 years ago and he had walked away for his career. A lot has happened in the last 9 years. He became an addict and he has cleaned himself up. I think that Hayley Faiman described him well.
Addict. Drunk. Selfish. Gifted.
Although he hasn’t been too selfish in the last bit because he came out to help his friends in the previous books. Only Hutton didn’t know he was back in town.
Beaumont is going back to his roots to play in the little towns and one of those little towns is where it all started for him.
I love it when we get to know the characters more from the previous books. And we do get to know them more too.
I definitely have enjoyed this series and this book. I can’t wait to get started reading Killer the 4th book in the Unfit Heroes Series. Which I will be starting now!!!
Oh I got Fraud from Kindle Unlimited.

I’ve always liked the Unfit Hero series because of the realness and rawness of the characters. Fraud , third book in this standalone series, didn’t disappoint and brought out a gritty rock-star second chance romance.
I can understand Beaumont’s demon and his choice to leave Hutton behind in their younger years. However, he did hurt and shatter Hutton without giving her any reasons. With the passionate chemistry and intense bond that they shared, their reconnection was inevitable. Their reunion was bumpy because their relationship was still on shaky ground when Beaumont has to go on tour again. I loved that Beaumont was truthful and brutally honest with Hutton even when it hurt. He was really determined to make their relationship work this time around and redeem himself.
I truly enjoyed this raw and gritty second chance romance and would highly recommend it. It was great catching up with the other people from their close group and I cannot wait to see whose story will come next.
Beaumont and Hutton had a romance for a year and then Beaumont left to become a rock star. Hutton had a difficult time moving on after he left. Now it is nine years later, Beaumont is back after a time in rehab and getting his life together. He wants a second chance with Hutton, the woman he’s never forgotten through it all. Will Hutton be able to give Beaumont a chance? A recommended read.
So the Unfit Hero series by Hayley Faiman has introduced us to a couple of guys that are troubled yet Beaumont is totally opposite of her usual men. We see a man who has everything he has dreamed of having to seeing how well, his life has spiraled down. Then we have the woman, Hutton, who is literally the only one who doesnt see him as a musician but something more. Together these two not only share a past but we see a bond that just grows stronger each day. Shows us just how talented Hayley Faiman is bringing Beaumont into this Unfit series was awesome. Loved it.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
We meet Hutton and Laurie at the BlueBonnet festival enjoying live bands and carnival rides. Hutton meets Beaumont Griffin, a rising music star. Hutton and Beaumont start to date but Beaumont keeps Hutton at an arm’s length, emotionally. Beaumont’s heart was destroyed by his, Chelle who played psychological games. Hutton works at a beauty shop with dreams of opening her own. Beaumont is pucked up by a music label in California and has plans of moving there never to return home. Beaumont breaks up with Hutton as he says he he doesn’t want a hometown girl hanging on his coattails.
This book by far was my favorite in the Unfit Hero series. I loved Hutton and Beaumont. This book was everything…. All the feels and love. I loved it
Oh my Hutton and Beaumont were on fire! Their connection was strong, their feelings real and the issues they encounter propelled the story forward. This author never fails to surprise me. From the last book in this series I was so excited about Beaumont’s book. He had me very intrigued and I loved seeing them both get a HEA. Webget to see characters from this series and see a look at how they are doing but at the same time it didn’t take away from the pace of the story or take the attention away from the main couple. I know that the next book is going to be awesome.
Watching Beau deal with his issues, finally come clean to Hutton about everything and giving her the chance that she deserved made this story beautiful. There were times I was really annoyed with both and wanted to say come on! Get it together and just be happy but the author made it realistic. There was ex drama that pushed the story forward but I loved seeing Beau just fall more and more for Hutton. I won’t give spoilers but i can’t wait for the next book in this series. 4 stars #2OCCJD
Not sure how I missed this series from Hayley Faiman so I am late to the party and kicking myself. Its different to her MC or Mafia series, its a gritty emotional second-chance romance.
Beaumont and Hutton had a year long whirlwind romance until he just up and disappeared after he was signed by a big music label. Now 9 years later Beaumont is struggling to work out who he is after leaving rehab. When he sees Hutton again he wants her back and she is all he sees.
As all Hayley books the twists and turns hold you captive from beginning to end which added to the intense chemistry between these two makes this a great story.
