I’d like to say there’s no place like home, but I don’t recognize Oz anymore.Emerald City Academy has become pointless. Daxar is missing and Glenda disappeared when we started questioning her as to his whereabouts. Galen is avoiding me, probably because it’s about high time he tells me about his parents. Professor Ixius has taken over as headmaster and my training, but he can’t seem to stay sober … he can’t seem to stay sober and he doesn’t know the first thing on how to teach me.
Things go into a whirlwind when Galen finally drops the bomb about his parents. The pieces are starting to fit together. Maybe Glinda is not avoiding us. Maybe it’s a thousand times worse than that. We’ll have to mount a rescue mission if things are as dire as they seem to be. We are woefully outnumbered. The Oz army isn’t trained and only likes polishing their badges. The last time we were in the North, things went horribly wrong.
We’re running low on good Sentinels at the moment. We have to take a chance Glinda is still one of the good ones and rescue her. The alternative means the Fisher King will rise again and terrorize Oz until it’s devoid of all magic
Emerald City Academy is an adult reverse harem retelling of the Wizard of Oz and the books that followed with a snarky heroine who is not taking the Wicked Witch moniker lying down, monkey shifters, a hot Winkie, a dangerous Headmaster, and a mysterious green haired boy who may have all the answers.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Once I started I could not put the book down from start to finish you just could not get enough left you wanting more twists and turns with emotions that makes you want more. Emerald City Academy, it’s quiet, with Glinda and Daxa missing, you have others around the academy that will help to find them.
Thank you for allowing me to review your book.

I swear this book has something for everyone – secrets, lies, mysteries, plus some sexy encounters. The first one was exciting; the continuation is over the top.
I’ll certainly be on the lookout of more from this author.
Emerald City Academy is an adult reverse harem retelling of the Wizard of Oz and is very addictive! Well written with a kick ass and snarky heroine as we carry on with her adventure that is filled with action and new characters in an incredible world. I love the authors interpretation of this old tale and am totally enjoying this series!
Francesca’s academy life has turned upside down. Glinda & the headmaster are both missing. Galen is keeping secrets, and the answers she needs are held by all three. Life in Oz is not the story we all know & love. Treachery, deceit, lies, secrets & more are a constant in Oz, & Francesca doesn’t know who she can trust outside of her close knit circle. Even Dorothy is now a friend & ally.
This story is filled with action, & the characters are well-developed & written. The world building is written with such vividness that you can picture yourself in Oz. This is another great story from JB.
This is book 2 of the series. I was not disappointed with this book. The story and characters are very well written and developed. This series is a really great retelling of the Wizard of Oz. I definitely recommend reading.

This is an enjoyable read and a good second book in the series. There are a few unexpected surprises, but what really made my day was them going down the yellow brick road! A few questions are answered, but there are plenty more to keep you guessing and wanting to read book 3.
I really like the way each chapter is told from a different character’s point of view (though it did mean I had to read the chapter heading each time)
Francesca, The Great and Terrible
There is so much going on in OZ!! The chaos, disappearances and utter just plain OH MY GOODNESS!!! WOW this is turning into such a creative way of thinking about OZ! I LOVE IT so keep in going JB!!!

I really liked the first book in this series but this book is even better. From start to finish, this book kept my focus. The characters are complex and fully developed. The story flows very well and kept my attention from start to finish. I really hope this series continues
Oz is never truly what it seems. There is a war brewing with the fisher king which blows more than earth shattering secret out of the water. What will Frankie and her mates have to do to right oz. No one one really know but after discovering these world shattering secrets its bound to get interesting
This was a great continuation of Frankie’s adventure. A lot more was explained about Glinda’s weird actions. Frankie has also settled in with her men. She has figured out who she wants to be with and how serious her relationships will be. Lots of new characters are introduced. Definitely, hang onto your hats, because this is one bumpy ride with things coming fast and furious.
I will say that even in trilogies, I prefer the stories not leave me feeling like I’m running full speed to the cliff’s edge and have teetered off and am holding on by my fingertips when the book ends. .

This book continues adventures in Oz. I cannot wait to see where this series is going to go. I laughed and cried with these characters as they move through Oz trying to figure out what will happen next. This book will not let you go as you read and you really wish Oz is real.

*Spoiler Alert*
I love this spin on the Oz books. Frankie (FMC) is a brilliant character. Loyal, Sarcastic, bad*** and kick*** too. Book 2 of this series begins back at Emerald City Academy with Glinda and Headmaster Daxar both going missing, trying to work out of Galan is trustworthy, Bullies, A Father rocking up and new families found and a little bit of sex. So basically this book and this series has it all. Just a bloody great read
