The New York Times bestseller – now in paperback, with a new afterword “A must-read for those who care about justice and integrity in our public institutions.” –Alan M. Dershowitz, Esq. The Definitive Story of One of the Most Infamous Murders of the Twentieth Century and the Heartbreaking Miscarriage of Justice That Followed On Halloween, 1975, fifteen-year-old Martha Moxley’s body was found … fifteen-year-old Martha Moxley’s body was found brutally murdered outside her home in swanky Greenwich, Connecticut. Twenty-seven years after her death, the State of Connecticut spent some $25 million to convict her friend and neighbor, Michael Skakel, of the murder. The trial ignited a media firestorm that transfixed the nation. Now Skakel’s cousin Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., solves the baffling whodunit and clears Michael Skakel’s name.
In this revised edition, which includes developments following the Connecticut Supreme Court decision, Kennedy chronicles how Skakel was railroaded amidst a media frenzy and a colorful cast of characters–from a crooked cop and a narcissistic defense attorney to a parade of perjuring witnesses.

Crime thrillers and true crime stories, while quite different, have a similar objective: to show how justice is served. FRAMED by Robert Kennedy Jr. combines the best of both with a powerful story that grabbed me in the first few pages and wouldn’t let go. Kennedy meticulously torpedoes the case that convicted his cousin Michael Skakel of murder by painting a decades-long horror show of incompetence, prejudice, malfeasance, and outright misconduct.
What I didn’t expect, though, were the feelings that surfaced while I was reading. Kennedy took me from rage to tears at the injustices suffered by his cousin and family. FRAMED is a must-read for anyone who cares about our judicial system.

Incredible narrative of a flawed system.
Great look into the murder in Conn. that landed Michael Skakel in jail. Robert Kennedy Jr. presents a believable case for his innocence. He had terrible representation in court. Interesting to note that his family was not close to Kennedy’s even tho he was constantly referred to as “ a Kennedy cousin”. Evidence of shoddy investigation.
Someone wanted him to take the fall. Cops couldn’t see this? Better get some new cops.
Made me think differently about believing anything from the cable news and “crime” reports like nancy grace. Unbeleivable what can spiral into a life altering situation for an inoocent person. Easy to follow and reminds us we are all human even if thought to be “spoiled rich Kennedy cousins” (which michael skakel actually was not)
Pretty much going over old ground. Still not convinced they got the right brother.
There has been so much hype in the media since this poor girl died so tragically. However, this book was the most informative of all the books I have read regarding this topic. The investigators and lawyers handling this case should be ashamed of themselves. I was mind boggled with some of this information. One of the best reads on this subject.
I did not like the way the book was written, more like an essay than a story. I got bored with it and did not finish.
The author is on a mission to clear the Kennedy name. I didn’t finish the book. I always thought Michael did it and haven’t changed my views. I’m sorry for little Martha.
Very well written. Excellent analysis of facts. Well researched.
This is a thought provoking look at a famous American murder and conviction
Of course there is always another side to a story and this one is just as outrageous as the rest. This crime happened 43 years ago and this “concerned, indignant, loving relative” is just now putting forth an effort to exonerate a cousin? The whole mess is a tragedy on so many levels and this book just adds to the confusion. I sincerely hope this book, along with Dunne’s and Furman’s, is listed under Fiction!
Incredibly biased and with a typical spin put out as in all the Kennedy scandals. They are the heros and EVERYONE else is lying. Pretty pathetic really
Very interesting, could not put it down.
