This book had me wanting more like an addict from beginning to end. The characters that Drew Sera created felt so real to me and I wanted to know everything about them. What made them tick and what made them feel the way they did about each other. They came to life on the page effortlessly and I could see the chapters playing out in my head like a movie. This is the first book I have read by the author but it will definitely not be the last.
Sydney became quickly taken under the very protective wings of Colin and Anthony. They were flawed, real people who suffered immense pain in their lives. The three of them developed a bond that drew them together. Drew Sera is a genius at weaving a story with three main characters in it instead of the usual two. The world building is fantastic too as it’s set in the bdsm community which, just by reading you can tell that the author knows what she’s talking about. It had a very authentic feel to the way in which all of the bdsm scenes and narrative were written.
This book made me cry, laugh and feel everything that was felt by the characters. I highly recommend you read Fragile. 5 stars.
Wow, this is an intense, beauftiful story which is very detailed and easily pulled me in to Colin, Anthony and Sydney’s world. I couldn’t stop turing the pages, going through emotions of sadness, anger, love and compassion. Can’t wait to continue the story in book two, Belonging
I really enjoyed this book..
This is a new author to me. She did an amazing job with this story. A story of a young women who wanted to experience the BDSM life. Was she was in it, it was not what she expected. She was abused and tortured. Her life changes when she meets two of the sexiest Dom’s. Will she ever recover from the abuse and torture? Will Colin and Anthony give up on her. What will happen to Sydney?
This book shows us that no matter how dark the world is, there is always a day of sunshine at the end of the tunnel.
Fragile is an amazing book to read and book 1 in a series. Colin and Anthony High powered Exec’s and powerful doms. Sydney an employee and a submissive. These two will make your heart flutter and more. A relationship develops between all three that melt the pages of this book. Can three people be committed to one another? Steamy sex, triggers, love, compassion will make you keep reading to see what happens. Colin, Sydney and Anthony make this book so hot that you need to have a cold shower after. Book 2 here I come.
Caring, compassionate, thoughtful and loving. These are a few of the words that come to mind when I think about how Colin and Anthony felt towards Sydney in “Fragile”, by Drew Sera. Colin is her protector and savior and Anthony is her life preserver in a sea of darkness as she clings tightly to his shirt .This is an extraordinary book that tugged at my heart and brought me into their world as if I was there with them on their journey.
Colin and Anthony are high powered executives who work hard and play hard but always have time for their employees who they consider as family. Colin noticed Sydney when she was first hired and she had been on his mind ever since. She always seemed a little sad and scared and never went out of her way to talk to people. Colin made it his mission to get to know her because for some reason, he felt the need to protect her and keep her safe. Sydney is a beautiful woman with an intoxicating smile and her shyness made her even more desirable to him. Colin wants her in his life and he has a feeling that she would be willing to submit to all of his desires. Anthony sensed that Sydney was afraid of someone or something from her past and he hoped that she could find the strength to open up and tell them everything.
Sydney thought Colin and Anthony were handsome, sexy and definitely way out of her league, but that didn’t stop her from daydreaming about them. One day they stopped by to see her when she was having lunch and told her that they would always be there for her and to call them if she ever found herself in trouble. No one had ever been this kind to her and she was relieved that she had them in her life because before she knew it, she would be calling for help.
I had a hard time putting this book down because I needed to know what could possibly happen next to poor Sydney. If it hadn’t been for Colin’s awareness that Sydney was troubled she may have never been rescued by her handsome heroes. The compassion and understanding they both had for Sydney was written so beautifully, that I could feel when Sydney relaxed under their gentle touch. I really enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series.
“He won’t hurt you. I can promise you that. Can you trust me on that?”
“I trust you with everything, Anthony.”
This was my first read from Ms. Sera and I NEED to keep reading this series! While it is erotic, and kinky, and has scenes that make you want to go find your significant other and get naughty, it also is full of feels.
Colin Everett, CEO of Everett Gaming, and Anthony Graves, CFO have two lives – the one that the public sees, and the one that come out after dark – the one that comes out as Master Doms at the sex club, Irons. Colin takes notice of a newer employee, Sydney Burke. Something about her makes him suspect she’s a submissive but when he suspects she is in an unhealthy D/s relationship, he goes on high alert. With his suspicions taking root in the back of his mind, he and Anthony embark on a connection with her, hoping that she’ll talk to them about what is going on. When she calls them for help, their worst fears are confirmed.
Together, and at Sydney’s asking, Colin and Anthony begin their fragile kitten’s training in being the perfect sub. The relationship between the three is becoming complicated and emotions are getting involved. Can they stray from the path they are on and the plan to turn her over to a new Dom when she’s done with her training? Or, will one of them finally say what all three are thinking?
You get this story from all three characters’ points of view. While Colin is trying to keep his role strictly business, you can tell he is getting attached to Sydney. He wants to do what she’s asked him to do, but sees how she responds to Anthony and sees him as her perfect Dom – or is he the right one for her? From Anthony’s point of view, you know he’s not looking for a sub, but you can also tell he’s fighting his feelings for Sydney, and his jealousy over the thought of her with another Dom. Then, from Sydney’s point of view, you know she has feelings for both of them, but mostly for Anthony. Yet, the self-esteem issues created by her former abusive Dom have left her too insecure to feel that either would want her.
I think I’m in love with Anthony. Just saying.
The book is full of triggers so if you are sensitive to abuse, torture, BDSM or menage scenes, you might want to tread carefully here. In addition, there are six books in this story, so don’t expect book 1 to end all nice and neat. It does end a bit abruptly, with no resolutions to anything, but it left me clamoring to get to book 2!
This is a good read- very descriptive and starts out a little slow but it helps you learn about the characters and why they are the way they are.
Fragile has been on my TBR for months. I wish I started reading when it was recommended to me in Feb 2018. I can’t express my emotions strongly enough for you to fully understand how great this story is. I read the final words on the page and instantly craved more about these amazing characters. Sydney, Anthony, and Colin have so much in their past that has shaped them. How will they move forward? I need to know.
Drew Sera made me cry, hurt, ache, smile and feel desire while reading Fragile. There are parts that are difficult to read but it all makes sense in the story. I lost a lot of sleep trying to complete this story. I did not want to put it down.
The Redhead’s Book Blog recommends Fragile with a 5 star rating.
This book held me captive, I could not put it down. Colin and Anthony are two best friends and Two of the most sort after Doms at Club Irons. Sydney is Fragile, she’s been abused by a Brutal Sadistic Dom. Both these magnetic Men work to try help Sydney heal and to try and work through the mental triggers her old Dom Howard inflicted. SOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!! Can’t wait for more.
Colin Everett owns and is the CEO of Everett Gaming, his best friend Anthony is the CFO. They both have suffered hardships. Colin’s family died in a car accident when he was nine and he went to live with his fathers best friend. He became very close to their son Matt who is a doctor. Anthony grew up with alcoholics and suffered terrible abuse which he refuses to talk about. All three are members and Doms of exclusive Club Irons a BDSM club. Colin and Anthony regularly co-top the subs they regularly play with. They’ve been watching one of the reception staff for the past nine months and have affectionately nicknamed her fragile kitten! They both believe that she’s submissive, when they find out that she is they tell her their secret. They offer her their cards and tell her to ring them anytime she wants. When they finally hear from Sydney it’s by text and one word HELP! When they get to her they are both nearly destroyed. This book is captivating, emotionally charged, endearing and frustrating. As a mother I wanted to take Anthony and Colin aside and give them a piece of my mind! I can’t wait to read the next book as this one ends with a cliffhanger!
I loved the guys in this book. They were smart, funny, caring. It was the girl that I wanted to throttle. Straight up abuse from her so-called “Dom” and she’s too stupid to see it. I am not blaming the victim here; really I’m not. If your partner is drugging you and kicking you in the stomach and you can’t identify that as abuse? Yeah. Author, please give this girl more common sense. How about instead of not identifying the abuse she’s trying to get out of it but she doesn’t know how. It makes for a much more interesting character instead of the little sweet shy innocent idiot we’re reading right now. This title is free on KU and $0.99 for purchase on Kindle.

Reading the first in this series was absolutely amazing I fell heart and head in deep with this trio. I felt the pain Sydney went through because Drew just knows how to pull her readers in the story. I really think I was about speechless when I finished this one and new I had to continue reading the others. She is now and always be one of my favorite loved authors.
Outstanding book, will be reading the whole series.
First let me say that this book had my emotions all over the place! Very well-written strong characters and an in depth look at the world of bdsm. I have always been fascinated by that world and ready books about it pulls me in more and more. Fragile had me from page one, my heart just breaks for Sydney, she has been to hell and back, but Colin and Anthony take wonderful care of her, they show her how a good DOM is supposed to treat their sub, I definitely will be reading the other books in this series. This book has really opened my eyes, a lot of books out here about the bdsm lifestyle just concentrate on the sex but Drew Sera takes you on a journey of what happens outside the playroom. I wish I could give it more stars. A must read for all!
Not enough stars in the galaxy for me to properly rate this!!!!!
Fragile is an intense and heartbreaking look into the life of a young woman who while pursuing her kinky desires at a BDSM club, meets a man that ends up brutally and repeatedly abusing her all under the guise of being her Dom. Sydney not knowing any better did not seek help because she thought that she was just being punished for being a bad submissive. She lived her life with a smile on her face while covering up the physical and emotional scars thinking she went unnoticed. Colin, the CEO of Everett Gaming always noticed her and one day at work, he saw something on Sydney that horrified him. Colin along with his CFO and best friend, Anthony were determined to find out what was going on with this sweet, shy girl and help her if they could. Colin and Anthony are also Master Doms at the most exclusive and respected Club Irons and suspected that Sydney was being abused. One night Sydney sends them a call asking for help and what they find when they get to her place changes all 3 of their lives forever. Drew Sera has quickly become one of my favorite authors. She is the type of author that puts her blood, sweat and tears into every book and you can feel it. Her plots are expertly crafted and her characters are unique, layered and very real. You become fully engrossed in the world she created and find yourself on an emotional journey that you couldn’t possibly prepare yourself for and it’s wonderful. Drew also is one of the few authors that is truly knowledgeable about the BDSM community and the reality D/s dynamics. This is a must read!!!
Fantastic read! Drew is a new author to me, but I can say that her writing had me mesmerized. I felt like I was in the story with the characters through the entire book. I absolutely love Colin and Anthony and can’t wait to read the next book. I would definitely recommend reading this story!
I won a copy of Fragile in a giveaway from New-to-me author, Drew Sera. This book… the emotions it pulled from me were almost overwhelming. Sydney, the heroine in the book, has suffered through some of the worst abuse disguised as BDSM that you could imagine. My heart broke for her every time a scene came up that touched on what she’d suffered. When she’s taken under Colon’s wing and he enlists his best friend to help him to guide her, none of them expected feelings to develop. Fragile is a different type of ‘dark romance’ in that it focuses more on healing and the three of them coming closer and closer together. There are a couple of steamy scenes, but they’re not until you’re well into the book. It is an emotional roller coaster that will leave you feeling raw and exposed and wanting to continue their story. It ends in a pseudo-cliffhanger, in that their tale continues in the next book, Belonging.
If you like emotional reads you will love Fragile!
This book is a wonderfully written story involving BDSM. It took me on an emotional rollercoaster that I couldn’t believe. The story of Sydney, Anthony, and Colin’s lives and relationships will draw you in and makes you feel as if you are a part of the story. I can’t wait to read the second book.
In this 1st book in The Everett Gaming Systems series Drew Sera introduces us to Sydney Burke, a young woman who went searching in the wrong places to explore her desire to be a submissive. Colin Everett and Anthony Grimes are Sydney’s bosses and realistic she may be in trouble. This beautify told story Colin and Anthony show Sydney tge truth about the BDSM lifestyle and begin her true training as a sub. This story is tge foundation for the following books in the series.
This book will grab you from the beginning and you don’t want to put it down. Each page is hotter and deeper than the one before it. A friend recommend this book and author to me and I am so glad that she did. This is a BDSM story, it is deep and it details what the BDSM community is, which is and should always be Safe and Consensual. Drew Sera does a phenomenal job, you will feel every emotion, you will laugh and cry, you will want to hit something then you will fall in love. It is like you become the character and to me when you can do that in a book that is when you know you have found a Phenomenal Author and their Masterpiece.
