This book was intriguing to the end. The author developed character and plot strategically leading up to a haunting and preventable ending. Such an example of how we are interconnected and one decision can cause a spiral of reaction.
I loved this book. I could not put it down. It is dark, but not scary. Very well written
This is my first book written by this author. I was thoroughly entranced and could not put this book down! The simple twists life take and actions of others can spin a person’s life out of control so easily! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes a great psych/thriller!
I found this book to have incredible depth about the effect of trauma on a persons life. I would highly recommend itl
Good Read
It really made me think about how fragile life can be and give a lot of thought about how many things are hidden in our lives.
Story line develops slow. Took several chapters to get comfortable with the characters.
The plot and characters were good but the blatant commentary on social issues should have been left for the reader to discover if they so chose, rather than thrust forward by the author.
3 page paragraphs are not my idea of a good read!!!
Unusual plot. Very readable. Surprising yurns
Too wordy
This book was very slow and failed as a “psychological thriller” The most exciting part was the prologue; downhill from there.
Great book that has the reader guessing all the way through. Glad I read this one.
Loved this book.
Not bad for a British book. These are always a challenge to read.
Why would a mother kill her child? Could she love him that much? You will never see motherhood the same way again.
It was a slow read as most of the story really didn’t deal with the crime but more with the emotional state of the two main detectives. The whole crime was solved in a few paragraphs without a true explanation.
I could not stop reading this thriller. I read it nonstop for three days ! Twisted yet left you crying with sympathy for the children.
Loved the book; easy to change places with characters and could visualize the scenes
Good story – very intriguing! Too much foul language for my preference, but great besides that.
