I love Jane’s books. She knows how to write suspense and how to keep you on the edge of your seat and wanting more and more.
I couldnt put this down once I started it. Please pick one of her books up you wont regret it
Yet again jane you have written another brilliant book.i simply cannot seem to get enough of your books.you always manage to keep me engrossed in the book.i really like the storyline and characters in this read.i will definitely be looking forward to reading more from you
Thank heavens for the happy ending! This is a tough subject to read and realize that this exists. It’s hard, but the author did a very good job with it, and you have a character that overcomes the worst possible things, and then it leads to the happy ending.
Did not read, too dark.
You just cheer for the main characters. They are very complex. The book can be hard to read as the content can be upsetting. But it is a story about triumph in the end.
Very interesting book would recommend it to anyone
I thought this book had an interesting story line, but got bogged down in all of the emoting, which was incredibly repetitive. The editing was atrocious. I’ve never seen so many run on sentences in a published work. Very distracting.
well written with broken characters trying to navigate and recover from trauma, dark
Loved the entire series!!
it was a little too much twisted torture in the story. i like her writing , but did not enjoy the graphic description of the tortures
Very poorly written. Some parts very illogical. Characters very one dimensional
It’s good to be back with the girls, watching how they have grown since being sold into slavery by their parents.
Diamond had awakened in the mansion the girls had been brought to, but they had been quickly separated, so she has no idea if they are still there or sold off to some pathetic excuse for a human. She thought of escape, but it was impossible, considering the metal collar she wore was chained to the wall. Diamond is the oldest and feels responsible for her sisters, but how could she save them, if she can’t even save herself? She has been abused and tortured, but she will not give up.
Then….she heard voices.
Jane Blythe’s ability to tell a story keeps me flipping pages, eyes rapidly scanning the pages as the suspense builds and I wait for the next tragedy to befall one of these wonderful women who strive to find a bit of happiness after the tragedies that Jane heaped on them.
The characters come to life on the pages, making me worry and fret about who will be hurt next, how badly, and why?
Diamond won’t quit. She has kept HOPE alive through her worst moments and even more so since she has Elijah and Archer.
Jane Blythe does not make it easy to figure out who wants Diamond dead, and the pacing creates a sense of urgency. Action packed. I took a moment in the lull of the action to catch my breath while I was allowed to see Diamond and Eljah’s innermost thoughts and fears, but I knew Jane Blythe had much more to come.
I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Fractured Diamond by Jane Blythe.

The recovery of the Hatcher sisters from a life of human trafficking continues with Diamond Hatcher’s story. She is the eldest sister and suffered unimaginable abuse and suffering at the hand of a sadistic captor/owner. Her story takes place 9 years after being rescued. She is slowly living a ‘normal’ life as a graphic artist. Her outlet for recovery is within the pictures she paints. She lets her emotions flow through her artwork. Diamond is the most quiet of the Hatcher sisters and her artwork soothes her. But it can’t sooth the feelings she has for her sister Sapphire’s partner Elijah. After being met with apathy from Elijah once she conveyed her feelings for him, she struggles with wondering if she will ever be good enough for a man after her ordeal as a young woman. What she doesn’t know is that Elijah does indeed have very strong feeling for her but cannot act upon them because his own personal life is a mess. Throw in a series of murders that seemed centered around Diamond’s paintings and you’ve got one hell of a ride! Without giving too much away, I will say that Diamond and Elijah are destined to be together and that love conquers all when you let it in. Their story is complicated, multi-layered, and full of plot twists. Jane Blythe weaves an intriguing murder mystery with this one. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, she threw a major curve ball. This is a great series!
Diamond Hatcher’s life turned upside down when she was sold at 18 years old along with her sister’s by their parents and she was sold to a man who kept her captive in his house in a secret room behind his and his wife’s closet.
Now 9 years later she is free but still has many memories from that time. When someone uses one of her paintings at the scene of a murder she is once again afraid and wonders who would want to hurt her. Investigating the crimes is Detective Elijah Newton who has had feelings for Diamond for many years but due events in his own personal life he hasn’t gotten involved with Diamond. His partner is Sapphire, who is Diamond’s younger sister who knows that both Diamond and Elijah have feelings for the other.
Can Elijah keep his mind focused on the case when he is trying to keep Diamond safe while still trying to focus on his personal life as well?
This is another awesome book in the series and I am loving this author and all of the books that she writes!
I love all of the sisters and I liked that Diamond was the oldest of the sister’s had been held captive in a weird situation as she was in a house but hidden in a secret room. She was finally rescued in a situation that had nothing to do with her. She managed to do some healing and found solace in painting and she had become a graphic designer but she has never fully gotten over what she went through, obviously.
In Sapphire’s book we are first introduced to her partner, Det Elijah Newton and we knew back then that he and Diamond had feelings for one another but nothing had happened since the end of the book. In this book we discover why and we see the stress that Elijah is in with what was happening in his personal life and now having to figure out who is after Diamond.
The chemistry between Elijah and Diamond is through out this book but there is still a lot at stake and I understood why Elijah was worried about what Lisa could do. That being said I was so happy when he finally opened up to Diamond about what he was going through and I thought it was about time! I was mad at Elijah’s mom for how she treated Diamond and I wondered how the two were going to get through it.
At a certain part I thought I put it all together with a certain slip up by one of the characters and I was right and it wasn’t too long before things were revealed and I must say that I was surprised by things for sure. It made me laugh that one character was “holding off” with certain things because of the age yet had no problem with their actions of revenge. The selfishness of one certain character blew my mind and she had no sense and reason to lash out as it was certainly directed at the wrong person.
The very end was great and I can’t wait for what’s in store with these characters!
These books will gut you to the core and leave you with a bleeding heart! I have been reading the Broken Gems series and I am have fallen for each and every one of these beloved sisters. Diamond surprised me. Although we know her soul was broken at first, she was really strong and determined. She would take a few steps forward, and sometimes fall back, but she would keep going.
Elijah’s secret is revealed and I loved the secret with all of my heart. My worry was that Diamond would feel it was too much.
Jane Blythe will write and pull out your fears and woes. Fractured Diamond will have you crumble and fall. My adrenaline was high and the angst was palpable. Then the ending was what we wished for! Another great ready by Jane Blythe!!

The tragedy that Diamond and her sisters endured is still hard to swallow in this series and I was happy that Diamond finally sees the light and the end of the tunnel but unfortunately when she could finally breathe the rug is pulled out under her when a murderer is using as her at work as part of his killings. Elijah will protect Diamond at all costs, even if that means protecting her from his actual feelings but he will never let anyone harm her again. Loved the suspense and intrigue in this book
Yet another fantastic addition to the Broken Gems Series.
This book is Diamond’s story. Like her sisters she’s suffered through hell. Now she’s just trying to adjust to normal everyday life. Her art helps her with this. Well it did…Until someone starts using her paintings to stage murders. Bringing the one man she wants, but can’t have back into her life…..
Will Diamond get her HEA? Can they put a stop to the murderer?
Sold at the age of 18 by her own parents, Diamond struggles to keep herself alive and not give in to the torture and pain that her body is put through. She had dreams of going to college, having a career that she enjoyed, incorporate her love for painting, and have a family, now it looks like all of her dreams have been stolen from her and she may never see her four sisters ever again. Being betrayed by her own parents has broken her heart but being the oldest and not knowing where her younger sisters are or if they are still alive, is the worst torture for her, even with the torture that her body is being put through.
He is attracted to Diamond, his partners older sister, but he has enough on his plate right now and with what Diamond has endured already in her life, he doesn’t want to put her in a situation that could destroy the work she has done to move on with her life. Even after she made it clear to him that she is interested, Elijah is afraid to put her in the crossfire of Lisa’s sights. Lisa is his ex that he’s in a custody battle with. He wants Diamond in his life, but he won’t let Lisa drag her into their battle.
This story is tragic, suspenseful, and shows the strength that someone has when they have support and the love of people who care for her. Diamond is not the only one to have to battle for a new normal, but she feels that she may be the last to find her new normal or ability to move on with her life. When danger comes along that points to more trouble for Diamond, Elijah will step up and do whatever he can to protect her and keep her safe. It may take some time to make sure she is safe, but when he thinks he’s lost her for good, the truth of his feelings will become clear and he will fight harder to protect her and keep her in his life. I really enjoyed the story, it’s dark, depraved, and tragic, but the characters are great, strong, and willing to fight for their lives as well as those they love and care about. I give this story a 5-star review and look forward to more in the series.
And shes done it again, jane has given us yet another gripping , captivating read that takes you on path of the unknown.
I’ve been patiently waiting for my man Elijah to get his turn and I couldnt picture him with anyone else but diamond they are perfect for each other but by no means is it an easy journey.
When someone keeps planting diamonds art at the scenes of the murders her life is once again in danger, can they figure out who’s behind it all before it’s too late….
Jane has a fantastic way with words and each story gets better and better and as I’ve come to expect from her work you never know whats around the corner making these reads exciting and intoxicating.
Fractured Diamond has now become my favourite from the series ,,,,it is Elijah after all haha .
Fractured Diamond is a suspenseful thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat as the twists and turns keep coming. Elijah and Diamond have this connection that has been eating away at them for over a year. Who knew when they finally decided to do something about it, Diamond would be going thru hell again. Then add in his crazy ex and I was just praying everyone would make it out alive. I love how resilient Diamond is and how she hasn’t let her past or present ruin her or let her give up on love. Elijah is perfect for her and I adore him.
You need to read this book for Archie, the pizza date and the secret alone. Fractured Diamond is gut wrenching, tragic and full of hope and everlasting love. You won’t be able to stop turning the pages until you find out how this story ends!
