There’s just one problem.

Fractured Beat by R.B. Hilliard a phenomenal five-star read. This is the first book in the Meltdown series, and what a book. Meltdown are a fabulous band, I only wish they were real (I so want to be a meltie). I also loved how we got a small glimpse into the MMG series, if only for a tiny moment.
Grant Erwin Hardy is the child of Melba and Erwin Hardy and they have a marriage that has always been something Grant looks up to and aspires to, even if he does like to sleep with random groupies a lot of the time, but he has no plans to settle down yet. He’s still enjoying the party. That is until he falls of the stage as the band are coming on stage to perform to a pact crowd.
Grant wakes up in the hospital and is told he will be going to rehab, as he overdosed on Oxy, the management are covering it up in the press as a bad case of flu. A couple of weeks and he will be better. When the rehab suggests he stays longer and the label don’t want to cancel any more dates they decide to hire a in house councillor, who will keep Grant sober and drug free. The councillor hired is Mallory Scott who has her own dark past, back when she used to be Mallory Stephens.
Will Mallory be able to help Grant? As Grant isn’t an addict, how could a drug counsellor help? This is such a gripping story, you can’t out it down. I am now desperately waiting the second book in the series.
LOVED THIS BOOK!!! Fractured Beat is the first book in the Meltdown series. I love a good rock star story and this one has it all. Great storyline, plot twists and turns, hot, sexy rock stars and a strong female lead. I couldn’t put this one down and I couldn’t wait to read the next book in this series. R.B. draws you in from the beginning and leaves you wanting even more.
You’ll love RB Hillard Books. I highly recommend them. A wonderful author who writes fantastic stories.

The first of the MMG series ,and what a way to start! This story just dragged me right in and kept me up reading all night. I loved it and immediately started the next book! A must read
Omg I loved this book and the entire series.
This was such a great read. I could not put this story down. Grant is this hot rocker that has been wronged, someone is out to get him and I love the mystery of trying to find out who did this to him. Mallory has been hiding her past and the emotion that she has been dealing with had me hooked. I love the push and pull between them and the slow build up to a great heat! The story was well written and I loved the other characters. They all have a deep story to tell and I cannot wait to dig in to future books!
4.5 Holy Moly Stars!
A great start to a series! I found myself in a love/hate relationship with the boys of Meltdown. They made me mad, they broke my heart, and they made me want to throw my book across the room. BUT they also made me see the struggle and heartache they went through and ultimately I ended up loving these boys. I wanted them to get a happy ending; I wanted them to succeed for all their hard work.
This is the first book that starts with Grant Hardy and his struggles start right out the gate. I had some ups and downs with Mallory and Grant. I kept thinking, she deserves better than this. But RB tells their story so well that I saw how they could help and heal each other. I loved the dual POV.
This book has a lot of suspense. I was continuously guessing until the very end. It was awesome and RB did a great job weaving this story together.
Now, when can I get more of the Meltdown boys? Bring on the next book!
When Rocker Grant Hardy collapses and falls off stage everyone thinks it is a drug overdose but something is wrong because Grant didn’t do drugs. So when all his bandmates of Meltdown don’t believe him, he is sent to rehab against his orders. They let him go and he must work one on one with a drug counselor daily while he is on tour, only problem is she is hot and he can’t seem to stop thinking of her. All the while he is trying to figure out who is trying to kill hom. As Mallory and Grant try to work through this mystery but some hearts will be broken and it may cost them more than they ever thought. I loved this story it had so many twists and turns and left me guessing up until the very end. Great Read!!!

This is not your average rocker book. RB Hilliard has an incredible, way of weaving mystery into her stories.
Hello Grant Hardy:
Sexy, Rocker with a heart. After being accused of drug addiction, lead singer of the band Meltdown has some difficult choices to make.
Enter Mallory Scott:
A drug counselor with a past.
Through this book you will discover the true brilliance that is RB Hilliard. She has a genuine gift with the way she writes her stories. Don’t be surprised if you are swooning over your next book boyfriend by the end of this book.
Wow! What a story! I had no clue what this book was about when I started reading it! But man I loved it! Mallory and Grant were what the other needed they just didn’t know it. So many twists, I loved it! Can’t wait to read the next one!
Wow, what happens when you weave a tapestry of music, friendship, and trust with deceit, betrayal, and lies? You get RB Hilliard’s Fractured Beat. This is the first book I’ve read by Ms. Hilliard and I am sure it won’t be the last. Her writing is tight, her characters well-developed, and her pacing spot on.
I’ve read a few rocker romances and this one is a cut above, its focus is less on the rocker aspect and more on the element of romantic suspense.
Set up and nearly killed by someone close to him, Grant Hardy is forced into rehab by his label, diagnosed as an addict. However, he’s not. Enter the on the road counselor, Mallory, that is supposed to rehabilitate him. No one believes Grant was set up, which rips through the fabric of the band, Meltdown, but Mallory knows from experience that he is no addict. Together they fight for the truth and against the attraction they feel for each other. What follows is a tightly woven mystery that brings the couple closer than either could believe possible. I love that there are red herrings thrown about to make the reader ponder the who-done-it. Just when they seem to figure things out, something else pops up to stop their progress. I didn’t see the twist but I so loved it when it played out.
The characters and the banter among them is natural and often humorous. The band has had it’s share of struggles over the years, and Grant isn’t the only one to feel betrayed. There are nefarious dealings with the ownership of the record label and that causes issues with the band and his relationship with Mallory. Grant is a rock star and with him comes a past, however, Mallory has secrets in her past that make her afraid to jump out of her comfort zone and grab the future she wants.
As their relationship changes, the sexual banter is hot and sexy as are the sexy scenes. While Mallory may feel insecure and weak, she is actually fearless and banters well with the sexy, overbearing rock star. This couple is dynamic and I loved their journey. I’m glad the next book in this series is out because I’m not sure I’d be able to wait patiently for Broken Lyric
