Awesome!
This is a fantastically written fast paced book that will have you getting the sequel of the second you finish! It is filled with intrigue, suspense, humor, sarcasm, and some steamy sex scenes. The characters pull you in from the first page and off you go on an intense ride you won’t soon forget! I’m happy to have found this book by Zelly Jordan, as she is a talented author and I look forward to reading more of her great work!
5 Stars!! Hot and intriguing paranormal romance. A must read!
Fractured is book 1 of the Unbreakable Series
Kellan is a cold, effective, and focused killer that turns into a deadly beast. He does his job and lives for his next mission, struggling to keep his beast under control.
Then he meets Charlotte, who presents herself as his girlfriend, and he begins to question everything about his life and a past he doesn’t remember. He doesn’t know who to trust: the elusive and secretive Commander he’s never met, or this fierce, beautiful, and sexy cop.
Kellan and Charlotte’s connection is deep and intense, and the sex scenes are scorching hot, and Kellan’s internal dialogues are hilarious, especially when he wakes up with the mother of all hangovers.
I love the way the author builds the tension and creates the action scenes. It’s a fun and thrilling ride!
I loved this book! Zelly has done an amazing job building a world. I wanted to just dive in and live there for a while. Plenty of everything for everyone!
5 Stars
“I’m a soldier; trained in special ops.
Sergeant Kellan Douglas O’Ryan. Highly skilled and deadly. A killer.
And that’s just my human side.”
Fractured is the first book in the Unbreakable series by Zelly Jordan. WOW!!! I am sooo blown away by this book, and Zelly Jordan’s writing and story telling skills!!! And to think this is her debut novel too, is amazing!! I have read the first two books in the series back to back- twice now- and as I sat down to write this review- I really struggled with the words to convey just how riveting this book/series really is! I mean, I expected to like the book based on the synopsis- I knew right away that it would be right up my alley- BUT, I really didn’t expect to LOVE it quite as much as I did.
I dove right into the action, and it only took a few pages for me to become completely invested in the story- I didn’t just want to know what happened- I NEEDED to know- and I so I found myself devouring the pages to get to the bottom of it all. Who and What was Kellan- there’s just so much mystery about him and his situation. Finding out exactly what was going on became a driving force for me- I was that invested in the story. Then, add Charlotte and it becomes even more captivating and complex- an electrifying mix that’s ready to combust!!
Ms. Jordan has such a descriptive style- her attention to detail really allowed me to become immersed in the story. I could picture everything so vividly- not merely reading a book- but ‘seeing’, ‘hearing’, and ‘feeling’ everything that was going on- to the point that I suffered Kellan’s hangover right alongside him-that’s how gifted a writer Ms. Jordan is.
This remarkable, and thrilling ride was everything I could hope for and so much more! There’s action, adventure, covert ops, mystery, suspense, danger, romance, paranormal elements, emotion, secrets, dramatic developments, surprises, and so much sizzle I had to practically hold on to my Kindle with oven mitts- not to mention it was quite hard to read when my glasses were getting so fogged up from all the steam!
There is so much more to this story than at first glance- the way Ms. Jordan weaves her story, adding so many layers of intrigue, intensity, complexity and depth- not only had me on the edge of my seat, but immediately engaged my stalker mode. She’s definitely earned her a spot on my favourite authors list. I will be stalking, oops, I mean “following” her closely from here on out.
I am excitedly awaiting the next book in the series!! It can’t come fast enough!!
Thank you, Zelly Jordan!
For the first in a series, Fractured hits the ground running and doesn’t let up. The writing style and world building pulled me into the story and held me there, page after page, right up to the ‘Oh, no, it can’t end there!’ cliffy. Yes, there’s a cliffy, and yes, I still loved it. Edge of your seat action, gripping suspense, some hot and steamy romance, a touch of scifi, and a bit of the paranormal combine to make Jordan’s debut absolutely impossible to put down.
Kellan is all alpha male, focused on his mission, when the arrival of people claiming to know him, claiming close relationships with him, make him question everything about himself and them. Every possible answer raises more questions and the action doesn’t let up. Conspiracy? Mind control? How does Kellen instinctively know some things about Charlotte and why the fierce determination to protect her when he can’t remember ever knowing her? Their chemistry is off the charts and the suspense doesn’t let up, and that ending! That ‘For Now’ ending that is both infuriating and gripping, leaving me chomping at the bit for what comes next in this series.
