A Featured Alternate Selection of the Literary Guild and Doubleday Book Club and a Main Selection of the Mystery GuildJanet Evanovich, bestselling author of One for the Money, Two for the Dough, and Three to Get Deadly, scores big with Four to Score, her most thrilling Stephanie Plum adventure yet. Working for her bail bondsman cousin Vinnie, Stephanie is hot on the trail of revenge-seeking … on the trail of revenge-seeking waitress Maxine Nowicki, whose crimes include bail jumping, theft, and extortion. Someone is terrifying Maxine’s friends, and those who have seen her are turning up dead. Also on the hunt for Maxine is Joyce Barnhardt, Stephanie’s archenemy and rival bounty hunter. Stephanie’s attitude never wavers– even when aided by crazy Grandma Mazur, ex-hooker and wannabe bounty hunter Lula, and transvestite rock musician Sally Sweet– and even when Stephanie makes an enemy whose deadly tactics escalate from threatening messages to firebombs. All of this pales in comparison, though, with an even greater danger Stephanie faces, when, homeless and broke, she and her hamster Rex move in with a vice cop Joe Morelli. RATED PG35 for licentious wit and libidinous cohabitation.

Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is on the trail of bail jumping, extorting waitress Maxine Nowicki. Maxine’s boyfriend offers Stephanie a cash reward the love letters he sent. Arch-enemy and rival bounty hunter Joyce Bernhardt returns to add to Stephanie’s problems. As per usual a fast-paced, hilarious read.
I am enjoying these books probably a little to much The characters are unique and the plots are realistic. Totally not boring or repetitive.
Going to read more of her books!
This book will not disappoint fans of the Stephanie Plum series. It is fun to read, difficult to put down, and leaves the reader anxious for the next in the series.
Loved this book! I can’t wait to start on the next one.
I have read all of Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum books through 25. I love all
of the characters with their individual personalities and quirks. These books are
some of the few that make me laugh out loud. I believe anyone that likes cozy mysteries would enjoy this series.
Anything Janet Evonovitch writes is entertaining
I love these books
The first installments of these books were wildly entertaining. I would read them in the backseat on my way to Utica, over 20 years ago. Laughing hysterically!
Time flies…
Very funny
I love the entire Stephanie Plum Series. It’s a great easy read!
Good fun read
I like all of Evanovich’s books.
More Morelli and this book stepped up a notch. I loved the side characters. I noticed she added a few fun quirky characters to the stories and they bring extra entertainment. It would be nice if Stephanie could learn some new skills, or just not be as stupid, though, I suppose that’s a part of making her “unique.”
Her car situation carries a good laugh throughout the series, so far, but now, Stephanie’s bad luck has been taken a step further. She’s been given no place to live. Joining Morelli was the perfect way to lead the story-line. I still enjoy her antics with Lula who is a funny character, and her office visits with Connie still bring a smile.
I hope the family dynamics continue. Those dinners are priceless; maybe that’s because they seem familiar. LOL And when there is an additional character brought to the table, the laughs continue.
I will be continuing with this series.
I LOVE everything by Janet Evanovich! Wish I could meet her in person! Shes placed such a great sense of humor into her characters even when they are operating in serious roles like a bounty hunter. I want to read all her books, every single one of them. I can’t wait for my next one!
I enjoy all of the Stephanie Plum series. Laugh out loud moments. And there’s Ranger. Stephanie gets herself into all kinds of interesting situations. And there’s Ranger. Fun to read, good plots, has romance, but not graphic sex scenes. Lots of action. Excellent escapist reading. And, did I mention Ranger..
Great summer read!
Love the whole plum series, only draw back is they are done to soon
Like all these books I enjoyed reading the further adventures of S. Plum, Bounty Hunter and her gang of Merry Men (and women). If you have ever lived in New Jersey you probably knew some of these people, or all of them.
Anything with Stephanie is amazing!
