Once again the SEAL teams vacation is put on hold when they realize the resort owner needs help. I liked Harm and Talia And it was nice to check back in with other couples from this series. Lots of action and drama round out this entertaining read.
Four Relentless Days is book #4 in author Elle James Mission: Six series. So far this series has been a fun and exciting read. Elle James’ Four Relentless Days is a great addition to the series. The SEAL team is back at All Things Wild Resort for a week of R&R, but strange things are happening and the owner, Talia may be in danger. The team steps forward to investigate the strange happenings led by Harmon “Harm” Payne who is greatly attracted to Talia. There’s lots of action and many questions about who is responsible for what’s happening at the resort. You will want to read this to find out just exactly what is going on.
I received a free advanced copy of this book from the publisher. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
The SEAL team is back in Kenya to continue their vacation at All Things Wild Safari and Resort that had been interrupted twice already, though these interruptions have brought some of the team to find their soul mates. However, there is no rest for the weary and Talia, the widow who owns the resort is being threaten by parties unknown, but scaring off both guests and staff. Trying to scare off SEALS is not going to work. Even though they are guests, the team is not going to stand idly by while men or beast is threaten. Meanwhile Harm, who had been hurt by a woman who he thought loved him, no lover believes true love exists, and Talia still hasn’t let her late husband, Michael, go, but the two of them are drawn to each other.
The book is an action packed page turner with romance as a side dish. I really like that the author has a CAST OF CHARACTERS page, that reminds readers who is who from the previous books and also helps a new reader to the series to keep up.
Great action adventure.
My favorite in the series so far! Continuing their African journey, the SEAL team we’ve gotten to know in the Mission: Six series finds yet another love interest on the horizon. Harm didn’t think he believed in love until he found himself in her arms and caring about her more than he intended. The story is fast paced with a good bit of intrigue, and the characters are easy to like.
Resort owner Talia Montclair has been experiencing some strange happenings at the resort over the last few months, and though she has an idea who might be behind it, she can’t figure out what to do about it. She’s on the verge of losing the very sanctuary her late husband loved dearly if she can’t get things under control!
Navy SEAL Harmon Payne felt like he was struck by lightening when he laid eyes on the beautiful resort owner where he and the guys went for a little rest and relaxation in the form of an African safari. He’s trying to steer clear of temptation since she’s in Africa and he’s returning to the US soon before shipping off to who knows where next, but when things get too close for comfort in the danger surrounding her, he steps in to keep an eye on her. Her disappearance wasn’t exactly the next step he was hoping for!
It was a book that kept me turning pages to find out what happened next. Liked the action. Can’t wait for her next book!
I really enjoyed this story by Elle James! It is the fourth book in her Mission: Six series and definitely worth reading.
While Harmon Payne and his team are on vacation in Africa staying at a safari resort ran and owned by Talia Montclair things soon turn dangerous when strange and threatening incidents target Talia and her employees.
Harm may have not been looking for love, but he found it with Talia and when she disappears Harm and his team take on the mission of finding her and taking down those who are responsible.
I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.
Harm and Talia’s story struck me hard. The emotions ooze off the page, the undeniable attraction and need to protect. I absolutely loved this story, and I highly recommend it.
4.5 Stars
This is book 4 in the Mission: Six series and it features Harm and Talia. Usually you can pretty well guess the ending of most books before you get to the end but every now and then an author surprises you. While reading this story I really couldn’t figure out how it would end until the very end. She had her life in Africa and he was a Navy SEAL in the US. This is a well written story about a SEAL team on vacation. The romance between the confirmed bachelor and the widow was beautiful to watch.
The characters were fantastic and the story line had great flow. The drama and action were fantastic! I can’t wait to read the next one.
Harmon and the rest of the team from SEAL Team 6 are back at All Creatures Safari for some extended R&R after their last attempt was disrupted.
Harm doesn’t do relationships and Talia is the owner of the resort where he is staying. He feels a pull towards her, unlike any other woman ever has, but she was widowed recently and he is not about to go lusting after her. But when attempts are made to sabotage the resort and then pot shots are taken at her, Harm and the boys (and their new partners) all chip in to help.
Talia is living her late husbands dream. She feels slightly lost without him as they were together since they were kids but she also feels an attraction to Harm and feels she is disrespecting her husbands memory.
Wow! A lot can happen in 4 days on a Safari. Harm is a brilliant mix of Alpha male and considerate lover. Talia is sincerely portrayed as a recent widow, attempting to move on, whilst not forgetting her time with her late husband. I loved the way she stood up for the local animals against the poachers. She also treats her native staff as family and most of them hate to leave her when the sabotage begins.
Great read and I enjoyed just as much as the previous books.
Loved it.
I always enjoy Military, Law Enforcement etc books. Lately its the women that are speaking to me and Taila did as well. Her husband died, shes running the ranch alone, shes inspiring the women of Kenya to speak up and help fight against poachers and when Harmon comes into the picture, she doesn’t wimp out. She thinks of the past, the future and goes for the romance. I appreciate the fact that she can look at the past and mourn her loss, but not get bogged completely down with guilt. As always I enjoy the tidbits of reality that Elle James throws in there – poachers, greed etc. Any book by Elle James is and enjoyable read. I thank Elle James for the opportunity to read this arc. I voluntarily share my thoughts and opinons.
I am so loving this whole SEAL team. Harm is the confirmed bachelor. After getting a dear John letter, he was so done with the fairy tale of love. Then he met Talia. Talia is a widow that runs a safari resort and the guys are there to unwind. When trouble starts, they are there to help Talia. Harm is falling hard for the widow, but how can they have a relationship when he is stationed in Virginia and she has the resort on another continent. He may leave the team to be with her.
