Not a fan of the reverse harem, but this is a unique and entertaining storyline. Sucked me in and I devoured the entire series quickly. Loved it!
This series is so fun and twisty! I had a great time reading it and following these characters through their trials and antics.
a massive massive hit with me this one, I have previously read another series by this author under a different name and it blew me away I even got my hubby to read it also I was that impressed.
So Knew it was only a matter of time before I gave another of her series ago and the title of this one really caught my attention.
I have a soft spot for psycho’s and this one gave me four and a ghost girl as an added extra.
So this is slow-burn reverse harem paranormal and despite the slow-burn nature of this, the chemistry here was bloody explosive.
It was such an unusual read that captured my attention almost instantly.
Basically our girl is stuck in limbo with no memories of her past and invisible to all.
She seems to be anchored to Jude, Gage, Kai and Ezekiel and sees herself as somewhat of there protector even if they have no idea of her existence.
She nicknames them one, two three and four.
She also watches them with the woman they share and develops longings of her own.
When she finds herself suddenly visible to her boys the fun and games begin.
Though she feels connected to them the reverse is not true the boys distrust Keyla (who they name) intentions from day one, some more so than others.
So this was hilariously funny with some terrific dry one-liners.
It was a fantastic non-stop sexy and mysterious page-turner.
We have hell, the devil himself and purgatory and some totally insane trials.
I was riveted throughout this it really was a super start to the whole series and I will definitely be continuing on here no question.

Four Psychos and their Ghost girl are taking on hell
A female spirit is tied to 4 hot soul reapers. For almost six years she has watched and learned. Grown stronger in their presence. She found a way to travel with them, but they don’t know she is there, until assassins try to kill them. She saves their lives and they can now see her.
She is hurt when 1, 2,3, and 4, as she called them, are not happy to know she exists. They suspect she was sent by their enemies. All are drawn to her as she is to them.
1 is Gage, 2 is Ezekiel, 3 is Kai, and 4 is Jude, her favorite and the one who treats her the worst. She has no memory of who she is beyond the almost 6 years she has lived with them. They give her a name, Keyla. As she grows stronger so do they.
Someone is trying to kill them. They need to pass the hell trials to get answers. They need Keyla, even though she is a distraction. Keeping their hands off her is proving trying, when they need to focus, not that they have come to the attention of Lucifer. Survival in the trial they face looks grim.
Fast paced, with great world building. Keyla and her men have a lust hate relationship. They can’t say away from each. Kayla is a protector. Her Psychos need her more then they will admit. Ends in a cliffhanger.
What the actual FUCK!!!
This book… this book was so good that I just could not put it down. The author said that this one was just something that she was playing around with, and well this book is something that I am so glad that she did do a little playing around. Each of the characters were ones that I absolutely loved. I can’t pick just one character that I lived more than another. Each of the twists and turns that the characters were put through were perfect and made it so that the my attention was solidly on this book and only this book. I can not wait to get my hands on the next part. Hell give me all the remaining parts now.
Wow, what did I just read and where is the next book!
Four Psychos by Kristy Cunning is one imaginative book! A gal that is not a ghost but has no memory and no substance. Four guys that are somehow bonded in several ways that reap souls but are not reapers. There is dealing with demons and the devil himself. The girl seems to get more power the longer she is with the guys….This book is so wild, especially when she acts as their protector. Someone is trying to kill them!
At last! A writer who can unhinge her brain!!!!
What do I mean by unhinging one’s brain? It’s the ability to shift one’s perception of the Universe to a place where nothing follows the same rules, colloquialisms, colors, words, emotions we have here. It’s like thinking of a story in which nothing has a single anchor in our reality. It is truly a singular experience to be able to do this. I successfully did this once while I was sitting, feeling extremely bored, in the cramped psychologists’ room where medical students, interns, residents, and attendings discuss their patients. I was stunned when I found myself elsewhere. Maybe I nodded off to sleep and started the dream process. Who knows? All I know is what I felt/saw/experienced, and it was truly… darkly… AWESOME.
This novel brought that back to mind in a heart beat. It was not only amazing but bloody terrifying.
Keyla is… well, she could be an incorporeal, displaced spirit or just a young woman from an entirely different universe, finding herself in a dark mansion as a ghost who has been watching four apparently young men sit and talk and bring back dates to fool around with without them even knowing she’s there. It’s either watching them or just blank out of existence, only to bounce right back without knowing how that happened. She doesn’t know who she is or her own personal history. The five and a half years of being an unseen interloper has had its toll on her personality. it’s difficult to say what it is… antisocial plus a cup or two of borderline personality disorders. She is crass. She is painfully honest. She has no fear in acting out on whims or not even whims because things just happen. All she wants is to be a REAL GIRL. Just like Pinochio. Including the clothing.
I am in awe of this writer. I have yet to read anyone of this caliber. I only wish that she had a real editor to clean up all the misspellings, missing words, incorrect grammar and a lot of punctuation errors. Gah!! I’d love to clean things up, and this would be a truly exceptional story.
Sure, the book ends with a cliffhanger, but considering that we are dealing with the Devil himself, who says this wouldn’t happen? Can’t trust anyone you’re not bonded to… Oh! You’ll find that out sooner or later while reading this tome.
Good thing Book 2 is out along with 3 and 4. I can’t wait to read the rest.
All kidding aside, this is a book that should be on any serious reader’s bucket list.
I’ve seen this book recommended quite a few times so when I looked it up and saw how many five star reviews there were I was suspicious. I thought thus was going to be another book that everyone loves but me, but I very much enjoy this author so I gave it a try. I went from the sample to buying it and devouring it all in one night.
The humor is more then enough to keep me reading, but the uniqure plot, wonderful characters, brilliant description and action were what kept me reading. There wasn’t anything about this book that I didn’t enjoy. I usually have issues (even with five star books) but for the life if me my only complaint is that its over.
I HIGHLY recommend thus book to all. Even though this is marked as a reverse heram, there is very little sex in this book. I am sure it will “come up” (LOL) later in the series, but for this book you can enjoy it even if you don’t like four men to one woman. Off to read book two…
*WARNING* contains adult situations
This book is quite an adventure and we really don’t know what any of the 5 main characters are. The 4 psychos know they came from Hell, but they are different and so have no clue what they are. Ghost girl knows she can’t go far from the 4, she doesn’t remember her name or what she is, but she’s been with for over 5 years. So, this is really the “get to know you” book. We get some of the main character details, the storyline, and some of the dirt. Hopefully book 2 will give some of the “whats” and “whys”.
So freaking happy Ann Mayburn raved about this book! Could not put it down and now I must read more. On to book 2 I must know what happen in the belly of the beast
I have been waiting for what seems like ages for all of the books in The Dark Side series to release so I can binge them… and this was well worth the wait!
I absolutely LOVE the heroine! She’s quirky and has my kind of dry humor laced with sarcasm. Although, the guys are ungrateful and selfish dicks who don’t deserve her devotion and awesomeness.
Keyla is some sort of protective spirit over these four asshole guys who are part of a soul-reaping quad from Hell, but no one really knows how she got there, who sent her and why she was sent to watch over them.
The plot is original and fun… and I would’ve given this a full 5 stars but THERE WAS NO SEX!! Jesus, talk about giving a girl a case of lady blue balls from all the teasing and sexual tension going on. Ugh.. there better be sex in the next book or I’m throwing my damn kindle.
I loved this series would definitely read again.

Review An Enjoyable 3.5 Stars
This is a fun read with a twist of darkness but so far not in a tragic or scary way, it’s set in Hell a lot
Keyla is spirit of some sort. She has no memory of her former self. She is anchored to Gage, Ezechial, Kai & Jude who are soul dealers for Hell but they’ve never died & soley live on earth!!
The story is about how the guys finally see & hear Keyla, which she’s been desperate for five plus years! Unfortunately things don’t go to plan for her as they don’t trust her & they constantly hurt her feelings, especially Jude
There are some chuckles and some really touching moments. I hated how the guys treated her, my heart hurt for her! I’m looking forward to getting some answers to all of their stories in the coming books and I hope the men grovel big time too

I was pleasantly entertained
Four Psychos was definitely unique also nothing I expected when I first started reading.
Kristy Cunning, C.M. Owens’ alter ego is a skilled writer. There was everything from humor to action in this fabulous start of a series.
Cannot wait to see how explosive this fivesome will be throughout this series.
What a book!! Definitely happy that book 2 is already out so I don’t have to wait after that big cliffhanger.
3.5 stars.
I almost DNF this because of the heroine in the beginning. But I decided to stick it out and read through. Good thing I did because I laughed my ass off. The heroine turned around after she started talking to the heroes. There are multiply heroes in this. With this being a reverse harem story I was skeptical. I normally am when it comes to reverse harems.
I did end up enjoying it. I couldn’t put it down. The story has a plot line and doesn’t fully focus on the romance. The heroine is really funny and I feel in love with her.
Okay so I will stop my rambling and get the review for the second book done.
Wow… This author certainly captures the readers attention from page one. *fanning myself*
This is the second time I’m reading this story and I’m sure that I’ll return to it again in the future.
This book balances action, passion, intrigue and an almost unhealthy need to read the book in one sitting.
I loved this book and highly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed.
