“The Wolf can break my bones, but he can’t destroy my heart.”I will never lie down and say die because there are four hearts that beat for me, including my own, and it’s the strongest weapon I have. I will defeat the Wolf. I will take his life. He’d better sleep with one eye open, because I’m coming for him. Who is the Wolf? He’s one dead son-of-a-bitch in my eyes. He underestimated me and now he … underestimated me and now he has no clue where I am. I’ve found my place to hide, and it’s only a matter of time until I see my freedom.
“Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, burn in hell, Red, because I’ve had enough.” – The Wolf
The game isn’t over yet. For me, it’s just begun.

Morgan fights for survival by concentrating on her family. A couple lucky breaks are edging odds in her favor. Holding my breath while reading on the edge of my seat.
I enjoyed this book in the Game of Life Series as much, if not more, than the three previous ones. The pace and flow is on point and kept me engaged and turning the pages. The suspense is intense, the characters are fantastic and it will definitely keep you guessing. Now I need the next book! A terrific read and one I highly recommend.
Four Hearts the 4th book in the The Game of Life Series continues with Morgan’s fight to stay alive and figure out who the Wolf could be. Once again Belle Brooks takes you on an emotional rollercoaster as you follow Morgan’s struggle to survive unthinkable torture that is physical, emotional, and mental. Wolf continues to play games with both Reid and her, but has she outsmarted him at his own game? Meanwhile Reid feels as if he’s losing his minds and he doesn’t know who he can trust. Belle sure knows how to twist a story and make you second guess everything you thought you knew. Bravo Belle you’ve gone and done it again!
Where is everyone, who can we trust? Why is this happening and who in the he is the Wolf? I dont think we will get the HEA but hopefully they all get the privilege of catching the wolf so they can have justice! This series is so twisted I couldn’t put it down!
Intense
Brooks does an amazing job of casting suspicion on so many people. Morgan goes through hell and then some. Reid goes through his own personal hell. You really can’t stop reading.
Ugh. Again this book is like the last with her fighting for her life, the wolf being crazy, and the husband and cops still looking. Some more clues are dusted in this book but it felt just like the last book in respects to the plot. From what I can tell the next one is the last one which makes me very happy because the repetitiveness of these books makes then semi- boring to read pretty much the same thing over and over again. I’m not saying that to be mean or because I hate the books, but because I keep hoping for something different, something huge to happen and it never seems to happen. While there are different things they just feel all the same. I love this author’s books, every full length book I’ve read I’ve loved, so I can only chalk it up to being so drawn out on so many novellas that make me dislike them. 3 stars #2OCCJD
Well Belle Brookes has done it again, she has left us hanging and with more ideas of who could be the The Wolf.
I love how she will have you thinking it’s one person and then in one page have you questions another three people.
Like i usually say this not the type of book i read but i am loving the mystery and suspense. I love how this is a thriller but we are still getting all the emotions and heartbreak at the same time.
I don’t want to write too much or give anything away because everyone needs to read these books and go in a little blind and try and figure out who the wolf is and why he is doing this.
I am loving these books and they are so worth reading, i love that it has me on the edge of my seat and i think the last book is one of the books i am most anticipating for 2018 because let’s face I NEED TO KNOW WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON.
Well done to Belle Brooks for another amazing story and the writing is flawless and so smart to keep us all in a guessing game until the last book
A massive 5 Stars for this baby.
Ashes to Ashes
Dust To Dust
Burn In Hell Red
Because I’ve Had Enough
So this is going to be short and sweet.
Four Hearts by Belle Brooks delivers on all fronts.
This will have you questioning and suspecting everybody, nobody is above suspicion.
The previous novella ended on a bit of a cliffhanger and I was like
NO NO NO! I’m going to have a bloody heart attack.
I need the next book like now.
So as per usual the mystery and ominous atmosphere were ever present here and we do finally get some answers, but these only serve to muddy the waters more.
Throwing up more questions than actual resolutions.
This author has a major talent for misdirection, I’m like seriously impressed.
I’ve actually made a list of my suspects, like seriously, wrote them down and all.
I cant actually remember when I was last this invested in a story and the way this has been delivered is pure genius.
I have said previously that I’m not a fan of these novella type series.
Well, prepare to make an exception with “The Game Of Life” series because its brilliant compulsive reading.
That you will be glued to from start to finish.
And On a side note still, no bloody clue who the wolf is I do have my suspicions.
Not that I have anything concrete to base them on I’m just stabbing in the dark here.
Floundering really.
I do want to solve the puzzle of the wolf and who he is but then again I will be sad when this is all over.
So I kind of don’t as well.
In the meantime, I have my stink eye on absolutely everyone, I’m watching here.
This is told again from Three points of view.
The Wolf, Morgan and Reid
And my heart was in my throat throughout this intense experience.
This really is a rollercoaster
So buckle in for the ride folks as it’s definitely gonna be epic.
I was provided with an ARC of “Four Hearts (The Game of Life, #4) ” By the author of which I have reviewed voluntary.

Starts right where Three Breaths finishes with Reid wondering how he is going to survive life. While you get the answer, you wanted from the previous book, your left with more questions now.
Morgan successfully evades the Wolf for a while but all it does is make him mad.
Morgan finds a phone and somehow makes a phone call to Reid, although is continually getting cut off. Your given clues when the Wolf receives a phone call on his work phone asking him if he is missing a phone and that Red called her husband, again leaving you with more questions.
We also see what the Wolf did to some of his other victims and your left wondering how will, Red, make it out alive.
Red thinks about her relationship with Reid, although they have had problems she knows they can make it work, if she can get out alive. Reid thinks that everyone is a possible suspect and doesn’t know who to trust.
With everyone a suspect when you think that they may be close to finding Morgan and your going to get the answers, it ends in a cliff hanger.
My review for this one is going to be fairly short. After reading and reviewing (and loving) the previous three parts, I am starting to sound like a broken record (lol). Again, as with all the previous books I enjoyed the hell out of this one. The writing remains awesome. The pace perfect. The plot continues to intrigue me. I want to say that I have figured out who is doing this to Morgan, but I am just not sure. I have a working theory as to the “who” and the “why” but some hints keep throwing me off. Ugh…I need part five NOW! This one gets two HUGE thumbs up from yours truly.
Solid 4 star read!
“Never stop running. Never stop searching. Or the wolf will destroy you.”
Who am I? This question still goes unanswered. Even though I finally have a suspicion that even Belle couldn’t shake off. And she tried. She tried really hard. But I put some things together and I can say I’m quite certain I know who you are, wolf!
“I’m coming for you, and when I reach you, I’ll grind your fucking bones to dust.”
The rush you get from Three Breath is still ongoing through Four Hearts. It slows a little, but it still keeps your eyes glued to the pages. You still forget the world around you and you blend into the bushes.
“Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, burn in hell, Red, because I’ve had enough.”
And now I’m really looking forward to read how this game turns out and who will win.
“Four hearts are all that matter in my life”
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this suspenseful novella.
Holy mother of all suspense! Belle Brooks you are blowing my mind. I bow down to your word savvy greatness. Brilliant isn’t a strong enough description of your ingenuity.
This series has me on the edge of my seat. Impeccable writing, multiple points of view, witty dialogue, twisted & gritty thrills that left me holding my breath. Such a wild ride! I am captivated and can’t get enough! Seriously if Belle is a new author to you – get book 1 and give her a go. You have to go for it.
Morgan’s torturous game of life or death continues at the hands of The Wolf. Every so often I think I’ve figured out who it is. But nope. I am still suspicious of everyone involved at this point – from the officers to their family members and friends. I can’t get over how fascinating, complex and entangled this plot is becoming. Every detail is so on point. Perfectly timed. Same for these fantastic characters. Beautifully articulated. Surprising me left and right. Reid is still pretty riveting. One minute I think he’s a jerk – the next I feel incredibly sorry for him. If the goal was to keep readers guessing until the big reveal – mission accomplished! Love that there is no clear guess and all will be exposed in the climax of this gnarly tale.
I am completely addicted to this series. I need my next fix and what I know will be an epic finally in book 5. I can’t wait!
Do I even have fingernails left?! What is this author doing to me!? Belle Brooks really knows how to write a thrilling, suspenseful horror story! I am stingy with my 5 star ratings but she more than earns it with this series! I would give it 7 stars if that were possible. The points of view are ever shifting, leaving you on edge in the best way. I read a fair amount of suspense. I cannot wait to reach the conclusion of this story. I am just DYING to know the wolf’s identity and how the story ends for all involved! My heart may not be able to handle the wait for answers!
OMG! This is a total must read series! I’m not really a fan of mysteries but this had me from the 1st page. My heart was in my throat thru most of the book.
Who is the wolf? Why is he hunting Red, aka Morgan? Can her husband and the police find her in time? All good questions! You have to read the series to get the answers. I dont do spoilers! lol
Belle Brooks is an amazing writer! I have read everything she has published and never been disappointed by any of them! She writes in a few different genres and they are all awesome! If you haven’t tried her books yet….your missing out on some good stuff!
OMG! Four Hearts is freaking amazing!! I absolutely love The Game of Life series! So many questions… so many twists and turns and so much suspense! Just when I think that I have things figured out…WHAM… another crazy twist! This series has been so much fun to read. While I can’t wait to find out who the Wolf is; I am kind of sad to see it come to an end! Book five needs to hurry up and get here…LOL!
Four Hearts but 5 Stars
This is book 4 in the series of 5.
I’m waiting with baited breath for book 5. The anticipation is killing me in the best way possible! This series has kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire thing. Morgan is so strong and is fighting so hard. Reid is trying his absolute hardest to keep it together. I have my own thoughts narrowed down, and I can’t wait to find out if I’m right! But, knowing Belle, I’m probably not because she is master of mind games and twists!
B*TCH! <3
All of Belle’s books are superbly written and this is NO exception.
Hurry up Book 5!! Give me the answers!!!
I devoured Four Hearts in one sitting. A phenomenal thriller that has you a twisted up inside. This books has all the feels, heart-stopping, and mind reeling. Belle knows how to keep you hanging on. One more step closer to finding out who the wolf is!!!
He made a mistake. He doesn’t know I’m here. He doesn’t smell the blood. Now’s my chance.
The wolf is coming but maybe just maybe help is too. Could it be? Another hair pulling taunting read full of emotional points and gut wrenching torment. Who is the wolf? They don’t know who to suspect. The more they learn the less they know. But the tide has turned and now he must remedy the error. Will she survive this latest obstacle?
“Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, burn in hell, Red, because I’ve had enough.” – The Wolf
Wow is all I can say. This author does what she does best. Creates an environment where you don’t get a chance to catch your breath before the next twist. Your mind can’t settle because you receive only enough information to question what you’ve read. This isn’t a standalone. You need to read it in order.
Belle Brooks continues to draw me into this thrilling story of a woman fighting for her life against the wolf and a husband desperate to see his wife again. Once again Belle has written a truly exceptional story that really has me on the edge of my seat. Each time I read one of the books in this series I think I’m closer to finding out who the wolf is but at the end of the book I’m left guessing who might be.
My heart constantly breaks for Reid who us desperate to see his wife one more time and I really felt for him during his interactions with his family. It is obvious how much his family means to him and how much he loves Morgan despite the mistakes that his previously made.
Morgan, I kept yelling at throughout the story to keep going and to keep fighting as she desperately tries to escape the wolf. The amount of strength that Morgan shows throughout the book is incredible and shows how much strength her family give her.
The Wolf still remains a mystery to me as I try to piece all the clues that hinted about who he might be throughout the story. But even after reading Four hearts the identity still remains a mystery to me. This shows the incredible job that the author did with writing this character.
Every time I read one of Belle Brook’s stories I am constantly amazed with how much of an incredible author she is because I am always sucked into the story. Every time I read one of her books I have to read it all because I need to know what’s going to happen. Her writing style is flawless, and the story always flows. I loved the way that it doesn’t matter what genre Belle Brooks write she always does an immaculate job with her stories. I cannot wait to read the next book and hopefully find out who the wolf is.

Do they have the right person nailed for the murders?
The wolf has eyes on the inside. Morgan has fought back, and the inside person knows it.
Of the four books so far, this is the hardest to write a review for. It is full of tension, and so much is happening that I am suspicious of every small bit of information that is given about the movement, and the intentions of the characters. Why is he in that particular place, why did she say that, and, why is she not reacting as I would have expected???
I’ve taken more notes, developed more theories, and what I think is too obvious, and will break a family apart, or, it could be similar to a plot straight out of Criminal Minds. It doesn’t matter though, because Belle Brooks has held me enthralled from the first book, and I won’t rest until I’ve read the last.
There’s an arrest made at the end of Four Hearts, but, do they have the right person nailed for the murders?
5 Stars.
