A standalone romantic comedy of epically awkward proportions, from New York Times bestselling author, Emma Hart.Imagine this. You’re ready to leave after a one-night stand, and you’re figuring out how to—shock horror—leave your number and ask him to be your fake boyfriend for your sister’s wedding this weekend. When he wakes up.Well, that happened to me. And over coffee and omelets, I found myself … omelets, I found myself a date.
Which was how I ended up arriving at the wedding with a guy I knew nothing about.
I didn’t know his last name, or how we met, or how long we’d been dating. I didn’t know where he grew up, what he’d majored in in college, or how many siblings he had.
I sure as hell didn’t know he was Adam Winters, hotshot hockey player—and not only my father’s favorite player, but my little nephew’s freakin’ idol.
Which means I’m in trouble. Big, big trouble.
My mother is suspicious, my sister is bridezilla on crack, and my grandpa will tell anyone who’ll listen about his time in Amsterdam’s Red Light District.
Four days.
I have to keep this up for four days, and then Adam and I can return to our regular lives, where we don’t have sex whenever we’re alone and my family aren’t interrogating him over his intentions with me.
At least, that’s the plan.
And we all know what happens to those.

Four Day Fling is the perfect summer read, full of sexy, flirty fun! The cover is what immediately caught my attention, and once I read the blurb I knew I had to check it out. And I definitely wasn’t disappointed!
Poppy is one of the sassiest characters I’ve read, and I adored her. She is the epitome of awkward, and her family is worse. Dateless to her sisters wedding, she decides to ask the worst possible person -her one night stand. Even more surprising? He says yes!
Adam has no plans for the weekend, so he figures being a fake wedding date could be fun. Too bad he has no idea what he’s getting himself into.
Full of witty banter, embarrassing family moments, and hysterical mishaps, this book will keep you laughing the entire time. The characters are amazing, from Poppy & Adam’s tangible chemistry, to Grandpa’s drunken stories. I would love another book just to get more from these characters!
This was my first book by Emma Hart, and I definitely cant wait to read more!
Love the author but this one wasn’t for me.
Witty story! Poppy and Adam have a fling, she needs a date for her sisters wedding and invites him. Her family are crazy and he is famous, this makes for some hilarity! Sweet ending.
Imagine all the bizarre situations you can. Well, most of them have happened to the clumsy Poppy. From the boyfriend who betrayed her with her twenty-seven-year-old cousin to the fourth-grade fight that ends with her skirt lifted and Barbie’s panties popping up.
The embarrassing situations do not seem to stop chasing her. And to invite a mysterious and hot boy to be her date at her sister’s wedding, for four days of family madness and sex without commitment is the harbinger of many laughs.
There are not many surprises on the plot. The strong point of it is humor. Hockey, strawberries, chickens, sarcasm and beach. It seems the recipe for failure, but they are the ingredients of success. The author mixes the most varied elements and manages to combine them in an original and fun way.
In the midst of all the confusion that the family of Poppy causes, we see the unfolding of the relationship between Poppy and Adam, which happens in a light, fun and natural way. But it has an expiration date.
The book is narrated by Poppy, but with some chapters narrated by Adam, which adds an interesting balance. A light and cliché plot, ideal to leave the hangover and recommended to all lovers of sweets novels and full of cuteness.
This is the perfect romcom to put a smile on your face and make your day better. It will make you laugh, swoon and all around smile. The characters are perfect and perfect together. Who knew a one night stand and omelette could lead to such perfection?!
I highly recommend this feel good, laugh out loud book. It may encourage you to buy some fun t-shirts too.
What a fun read this was. The banter between Poppy and Adam was so much fun to read. I loved Poppy’s sarcasm and how she had everything and everyone under control even when she didn’t realised it.
As for Adam; that man can do no wrong. I loved everything about him. He loved how her mind worked and he just wanted her for him.
“Something.” That was one way to describe Poppy Dunn. And, weirdly, probably the most accurate. Because she was. She was something. I just wanted that “something” to be mine.”
This was a great summer read which shows us that it is possible to fall for someone in a short period of time. I highly recommend it

Emma Hart is the queen of romantic comedy and Four Day Fling is one of her best! I laughed out loud throughout the entire book and I just could not put it down!
Poppy and Adam’s banter from the first chapter was absolutely hilarious and had me giggling from the start. Poppy being so awkward and sassy was rounded out by Adam’s ability to push her buttons and give just as good as he gets. Their conversations are one of the most hilarious things I’ve ever read! Throw in a really dysfunctional family and the fact that Poppy’s entire family knows that Adam’s a professional hockey player (and she doesn’t), well, it’s a disaster just waiting to happen and the way this couple handles it is completely priceless!
Poppy and Adam are entertaining as hell! Hilarious dialogue, chemistry that jumps right of the pages, sexiness that had me swooning, and a relationship that may not be as fake as they thought had me falling head over heels for this couple. If you want a lighthearted, funny romantic comedy, then Four Day Fling is for you!
I found this to be my most difficult read from Hart. I had a few personal issues with the character name so it took me a while to get through this book. I love the witty comments that Hart’s characters always have. You would never be able to tell that Hart isn’t from Florida because the details were seamless.
*4-4,5 stars*
It’s been a while since I’ve read a book by this author but she’s definitely become one of my go-to-go authors. This summer good feel book was such an enjoyable read and you just can’t help but fall in love with Poppy and Adam!
Poppy’s sister’s wedding is coming up and she needs a date to show up with so she doesn’t see any other way than to ask her one-night stand to come with her. What could go wrong to be someone’s fling for a few days right? Even though they don’t really know each other, she takes a chance on Adam to be her fake boyfriend for a few days but during the wedding days, and during the crazy amidst her family, there’s this bond that forms between them. And when Adam’s true identity comes out, it’ll be even harder to get through the four ‘fake’ days but when the wedding four days are over, will they be able to part? …

Review:
I really want to thank Emma for selecting me to receive an ARC of her book. I enjoy reading Emma’s work. Her work always have tons of humor and hot smut, this one is no difference.
If you loved Emma’s work in the past I don’t doubt you’ll like this one. If you haven’t read any of Emma’s works before but you like feisty, sassy females, hot charming males, lots of chemistry, hot steamy scenes, and a great laugh then this book is the one for you.
What is this book about:
This book is about Poppy and Adam. Poppy’s sister is getting married and she is desperate to find herself a date. If she doens’t then her mother will shit a cow, as she says it. After a one night stand with Adam she asks him to be her date. To her great surprise he says yes. She thinks the worst is over now. I mean all she needs to know about her supposidly boyfriend is that he’s hot and great in bed right? She never expected him to be a famous hokey player, one that her family surly recognize.
Adam and Poppy have a great time together, they seem to get allong well, have great chemistry and enjoy each others company. It’s only for four days right?
What did I like about this book:
I liked the banter between Adam and Poppy. I like poppy’s sarcasm and attutude. It’s funny. Eventhoug I enjoy it, it became a bit to much at some point. I wanted to see there was more to her than just her attitude and her sarcasm.
I really like how Adam handled the craziness that is Poppy and her family. He is a good guy.
I’m not sure what to feel about Poppy’s mom. I would have run away a long time ago, what a controling bitch. I wouldn’t hold my tong like everyone else seems to do. I would have told the bitch of and told her to change her attitude or don’t show up at all.
Overall I enjoyed reading this book. I had a good laugh.
Rating:
3 1/2 I liked it Stars
Heroine needs date for sister’s weddding and hires someone to play the part. I think we all know where this is going, right? However, I didn’t mind knowing where the story was going, because I loved Emma Hart’s writing style. She writes with so much warmth and compassion for her characters, it just makes my heart scream with joy. I need more of her books in my life, that’s for sure!
The book follows Poppy and Adam who’re having a one night stand. And what would be more natural than to ask him to be your date for your sister’s wedding, amiright? Lol. But it’s not just a wedding; It’s a four day thing! Of course Adam agrees to go, if she in turn agrees to have sex with him. It’s a done deal.
Poppy is very snarky and sarcastic, but she’s also very honest. Her family drove me crazy, as they did her (and Adam). I loved how the story progressed and how they interacted at the wedding, as well as the steamy scenes. It was quite romantic at times too (it is a romcom after all, but still worth mentioning).
One thing though: Poppy’s sister clearly didn’t want this big wedding, neither did her groom, so why didn’t they turn down the mother, refuse to do it their way, and just elope? Or do a smaller wedding? Someone needed to stand up to the mom and tell her no!
Loved the mouthy, sassy main character and good-natured heart throb. Great escape novel.
I LOVED this book! Poppy is everything, I had no idea Adam was a hockey player going in (neither did Poppy) and finding that out made him even more hot (and somehow more adorable too?), and I even loved the family drama that came with attending the wedding (I even loved how much I hated Poppy’s mom). Their story was funny, sexy, and just so much fun! Emma Hart has been a go-to author for me for a while, but after a couple of just okay releases for me, Four Day Fling has fully restored my faith in her as a Rom-Com queen! 4.5 out of 5 wine glasses.
Insanely funny.
I mean, does this woman ever write a bad book? *shakes the magic eight ball* …that’s highly unlikely. I haven’t read all her books, but I freaking love the ones I’ve read. This one might just be my favorite now. I mean who doesn’t love a fiery redhead, named Poppy? Her mouth…everything that comes out of it is hilarious!
I love how Poppy has no idea who Adam is. I completely get where she’s coming from with the whole sports thing. I don’t get them, never was interested in them, and I’ve met a few pro football players from working in a restaurant, served them numerous times and had no clue who they were. One, in particular, I didn’t believe him when he told me he was a Red Skins Player…I went and grabbed a coworker to confirm. Ha! Anytime I would see him he’d laugh and say hello tho. (Don’t know why I’m telling my life story here, but anywho…) I totally get it! Totally believable!
My favorite thing about this book is when Poppy and Adam are conversating, it’s like I can picture it in my head like a movie. My head keeps bouncing back and forth between the two because they just keep firing off one thing after another. Poppy is witty as h-e-double hockey sticks ;p and Adam is pretty much right there next to her holding his own. It’s entertaining as all get out and Poppy’s family is crazy and kooky and laugh out loud funny! If you love a bit of a fling with some super steamy scenes, sharp-witted humor, crazy families, equally crazy, in a fun way, graphic tee wearing redheads and super hot hockey players, you’ll love this book! If you don’t…something’s wrong with you and I will go find grandpa and make him tell you about Amsterdam’s Red Light District! Really though, the connection between Pop and Adam is just on point and I love their cute love story. Perfect summer read…and well any other time read. Definitely a fave of mine for 2018. Keep writing lady, you’re awesome!!

FOUR DAY FLING by Emma Hart is a winner of book! It’s entertaining and funny. There are loads of banter and quips galore. The characters are a quirky collection of nutty personas whose humour and exploits had me laughing from the start.
I really enjoyed Adam and Poppy’s story. Neither one night stands nor taking a stranger to a wedding as a date are new romance tropes but they provide a nice framework for this story. The attraction between Adam and Poppy is evident and while they did not ignore the attraction between them, their story was not just about the physical. I enjoyed the times they spent getting to know one another.
A few special mentions: Poppy’s collection of snarky/funny t-shirts she wears as armour throughout are funny. Poppy’s grandfather is an absolute hoot. The entire family is a touch nutty but they are entertaining and harmless for the most part. And finally, Poppy’s friend Avery often offers sage advice in a most amusing manner.
There are several inconsistencies in the storyline but I chose to ignore those and concentrate on the light-hearted romance. I am new to Emma Hart’s writing but I will be adding her to my list of authors to read.
Emma Hart’s newest Rom-Com, Four Day Fling is a hilariously entertaining, sexy as all get out, will make you giggle-snort and give you all the happiness you could ever want story with some of the most enjoyable characters and a fun as hell plot you won’t want to miss!
I do so LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOOOVE Emma Hart’s romantic comedies. Her writing always seems to snare me each and every time, but with Four Day Fling I feel like she really went up and beyond anything she has written so far. This book was a TON of fun. It was LMAO funny and sizzling freaking HOOOOOT! This is the type of read that will bring tears of mirth to your eyes and if you are new to Emma Hart, it will make you a INSTANT fan for LIFE. I recommend this book with my whole being. This will put a smile on your face and you will need a change of panties…or two for sure!
I give Four Day Fling a SO MUCH FUN FIVE SHOOTING, SPARKLING STARS!
Four Day Fling is fun read. It just what I needed, it made me laugh and smile while reading it. Poppy has a one night stand and then asks him to be her pretend boyfriend for her sister’s wedding. What could wrong there, right? Poppy is crazy, funny and a little awkward. Adam is sweet and sexy. He’s a hockey player and Poppy has no idea who he is until he meets her family. I was rooting for these two because they are perfect together. If your looking for a funny read then this one is for you.
One thing I’ve found out recently is that you CANNOT go wrong with Emma Hart’s novels. Four Day Fling is her most recent romantic comedy and it delivers. It has all the ingredients of a fun and flirty read.
Poppy knows that going to her sister’s wedding without a date is going to be the worst idea ever. Little did she know that her second worst idea was asking her one night stand, Adam, to go with her as her fake boyfriend. Chemistry, romance, laughter, and a whole lot in between – Four Day Fling will keep you highly entertained and will be hard to put down! Definitely going on the favorites list!
Wow, this book was amazing. I haven’t laughed as often as I did with this book in a very long time.
Poppy is a very headstrong, not afraid to say what she thinks, clumsy, and at times very awkward women. Even with all of this she is a very loveable character. She decides to take a one night stand to her sister’s wedding, not knowing who he really is. Well it turns out just about everyone else does know that he is a famous hockey player. Will Poppy be able to keep it to just the four days that she needed or will her feelings change?
Adam is a famous, rich, handsome and good in bed kind of guy. What could go wrong with helping out his one night stand? Well, a lot when then girl is Poppy and her family is a tad bit crazy. Will Adam be able to agree to Poppy’s rule that it is only four days and no feelings should be involved? Will he be able to just go back to having his main focus be hockey or will he push for more of Poppy?
Emma’s writing was perfect in this book, she was able to truly capture yhese characters and make them real. While reading I got many funny looks from my family because I laughed out load so many times…for example: “If I were, I’d be the pair that hugged your ass like a Care Bear.”. Just having sayings like this and the family dynamics, which remind me of my own, made this story perfect.
I can’t wait to read what Emma comes out with next.
