A standalone romantic comedy of epically awkward proportions, from New York Times bestselling author, Emma Hart.Imagine this. You’re ready to leave after a one-night stand, and you’re figuring out how to—shock horror—leave your number and ask him to be your fake boyfriend for your sister’s wedding this weekend. When he wakes up.Well, that happened to me. And over coffee and omelets, I found myself … omelets, I found myself a date.
Which was how I ended up arriving at the wedding with a guy I knew nothing about.
I didn’t know his last name, or how we met, or how long we’d been dating. I didn’t know where he grew up, what he’d majored in in college, or how many siblings he had.
I sure as hell didn’t know he was Adam Winters, hotshot hockey player—and not only my father’s favorite player, but my little nephew’s freakin’ idol.
Which means I’m in trouble. Big, big trouble.
My mother is suspicious, my sister is bridezilla on crack, and my grandpa will tell anyone who’ll listen about his time in Amsterdam’s Red Light District.
Four days.
I have to keep this up for four days, and then Adam and I can return to our regular lives, where we don’t have sex whenever we’re alone and my family aren’t interrogating him over his intentions with me.
At least, that’s the plan.
And we all know what happens to those.

Perfect cover and Emma Harts brand of quirky and funny has been missing in my life. Can’t wait to dive into this one.
“Feelings. I had feelings for Adam Winters, and they needed to shut up and get back in their box where they belonged.”
You can NEVER go wrong with an Emma Hart romantic comedy! FOUR DAY FLING is her latest rom-com and I couldn’t have been more delighted to dive in! With already a pretty long list of charming, sexy, sweet, and HILARIOUS books in the genre already, Emma has shot up my list of favorites in no time at all. She gives us this perfect blend of romance and comedy each and every time, and all I want to do is read these books over and over again. They put me in such a great mood and sets me up for the days ahead. Her comedic prose is out of this world. Her characters are unforgettable and so full of life…they seem to jump out of the pages!
FOUR DAY FLING is an entertaining and sexy powerhouse of a romantic comedy! Page after page, chapter after chapter, you won’t want for anything else while you’re in her world. Poppy is an incredible heroine who made me laugh with each turn of the page. Adam’s life is so different from Poppy’s but they shared the same quick witted banter that made me melt, and made them the perfect couple in my mind. These characters were just so cool and the story flowed so nicely, there was no looking back. Emma Hart took a trope that is not all that original, but made it her own, putting her stamp on it, putting it in a league of its own. I couldn’t have asked for a better rom-com to totally turn my day around.
*4 Stars*
This was another fun book from Emma Hart, with funny and quirky characters. Enjoyed this one and sped through it fairly quickly. Would definitely recommend, and look forward to more from this author.
I laughed out loud so many times reading this book. It was fantastic. The wit, the banter, and the angst all rolled together to for the perfection that is this book.
This book is funny, and sweet and all the things a good romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!
5 stars!!!
Let’s just say that you will enjoy reading it!
Love, love this book!! I was drawn into the story right away. Poppy and Adam’s push pull relationship was entertaining as was the family drama. (We all can relate to a family events with loopy family members). The witty banter and fast paced story made this an enjoyable read. Would love to read more from this author.Highly recommend this book!!
This book was very enjoyable and if not for the stupid editorial mistakes (wrong word or missing word) then I would have rated 5+ stars. Dialog was fantastic and LOL funny! Very entertaining!??
Definitely a sweet hilarious read. Like Poppy I’d definitely not show up alone or sober to that wedding either. But Adam took it in stride and took the fake boyfriend role very seriously. In the end you have to admit they’re all crazy but a family that sticks together through it all.
Wow, I absolutely freakin loved this book!
Emma Hart is the pink goddess of Rom-Com. The characters I absolutely adored, the plot I was addicted to and I just.. wow, I finished this book on a happy sigh and had lots of laughs along the way.
A one night stand that turns into a four-day wedding vacation at a resort with Poppy’s family.
Poppy is in an awkward position of needing a date for her sisters wedding, under pressure from her mum or more like threatened by her mother that she has to bring a date and Adam seems like a good solution when she wakes up next to him following a night were she has only known him a few hours, Intimately yes but a stranger none the less.
Adam just doesn’t not know what he has let himself in for when he agrees to poppy’s mercy plea and request to be her fake boyfriend for four days.
She’s nuts, clumsy, a fiery redhead, half her family are crazy and Poppy isn’t a people liker at the best of times and she has to spend the weekend surrounded by people especially her mother who drives her nuts. Poppy is a girl who wears her moods on her T-shirts and I absolutely loved her.
Adam has the patient of a saint, he agreed to a weekend with a girl he had only had sex with once and Poppy has no idea what is in store when Adam meets her family and she introduces him as her boyfriend. This is one girl who wishes she had taken more notice of her family’s sports interests.
I was completely involved in the lives of Poppy and Adam and in all the craziness, I hung on with bated breath for a hea.
Full of humor, full of energy, Four Day Fling is a page-turner from start to finish.
Emma Hart is a go to author when you need a pick me up kind of read, I never fail to smile, she has the ability to turn sass and sarcasm into sexy and fun.
This is the first book I read by Emma and I thought it was great. It was funny with quick wit and sarcasm that created a great rapport between poppy and Adam. Adam is a rich hockey star and Poppy is drifting not feeling like she belongs. When Adam and Poppy meet and Poppy has no idea who he is, he finds that refreshing. After having a one night stand, Poppy asks Adam to attend her sisters wedding this weekend, she is trying to keep her mother at bay. As always these things are never as easy or clean cut as one hopes.
This review is for an ARC and is my unbiased, honest opinion.
Such a cute, quirky story!!!! This book was a lot of fun. It’s about a character named Poppy asking this guy, Adam, to attend her sister’s wedding after having a one night stand with him. AWKWARD right?! Poppy is the queen of awkward and I loved her character so very much. I love how she was different and unique. Poppy wasn’t afraid to speak her mind and didn’t take crap from anyone.
This book takes place majorly over 4 days…hence the title. It didn’t feel like four days though. I felt their connection almost instantly and what can I say? it just worked. Any other book this story line would’ve felt too insta-lovey but not this one. They clicked so easily that you felt they’ve known each other for years.
The wedding they attended together was very memorable for sure. I can’t wait for you to meet Poppy’s quirky family. Boy are you in for a ride with that crew lol!!! Overall, this was such a fun read. I read it in two days and just couldn’t put it down. I hope you enjoy it just as much as I did.
This book caught my eye at a recent book signing and I couldn’t resist getting a copy. The cover is gorgeous and so eye catching. Even my 8 year old son commented on it
I picked this book up the other evening to start reading it and instantly became excited about the story of Poppy and Adam. I hated having to put it down to get some sleep as I had work the next day, but I picked it back up as soon as I could and didn’t put it down again until I’d finished it. This story is full of laughs and also some very heart melting scenes between Poppy and Adam who are so clearly falling for each other. Grandpa was definitely one of my favourite characters and all his scenes had me laughing my head off. I liked how Poppy and Adam ‘bounced’ off each other and gave as good as they got from the other. I really did feel for Poppy though as she didn’t appear to think a lot of herself and spent most of her time in the book dealing with issues to keep the calm between family members. I personally feel Poppy’s sharpness and smart comments were her way of trying to protect herself rather than her trying to be rude or unfriendly. We also get parts from Adam’s POV, and I love when an author does this as it allows me to understand both characters better. And it also gave me the opportunity to swoon over him lol
Emma Hart is clearly a talented author as its not easy to add humour to a book that has a reader laughing, especially laughing out loud like I did lol. But yet, this book wasn’t all about comedy. It was also learning about yourself and finding love when you’re not looking for it. This book will keep you up until the early hours reading and you’ll find yourself wanting to skip ahead to see what happens, but also not wanting to as you want to sit back and be swept away by this author’s words. This is a book I definitely recommend!
Like the story, would have been much better if Poppy was not so annoying and nasty to Adam.
OMG! How does Emma Hart do this? She writes the most hilarious stories. All I want to do after reading this one is to read it again, but I’m not sure if my face can take it, it hurts from smiling from ear to ear while turning the pages of Four Day Fling.
I couldn’t help but become addicted to the storyline and the characters. Poppy and Adam made me fall in love with them from the very beginning. I loved how easy their relationship began. From their first interaction you were able to tell how much chemistry there was between these two and how easy it would be for them to fall for each other. They connect on a whole new level, they are perfect for each other. I love how understanding and supportive Adam is, he is fun, smart and so swoon worthy. I love how he accepts Poppy as she is, and how he falls for her personality. And Poppy? Gosh, that woman is crazy but I absolutely love her, she is strong, smart and so much fun. She managed to charm Adam from moment one. Their interactions are pure gold and their banter is to die for.
I loved everything about this story! From the little moments they made me giggle to those were I was holding my stomach from laughing incessantly. Or those were I thought I would die from swooning way too much at how cute they were together. And, of course, those few ones that were filled with so much emotion, that took my breath away.
But, that’s not all! The secondary characters were to die for. They always made me laugh with their weird and funny ways.
Hilarious, sweet and sexy.
Another fabulous read from Emma Hart!
If you know me, you know how in love I am with Emma! Her writing is so witty, and sexy and everything in between. When you pick up one of her novels, you know that you are going to get the steam, but also the quick witted banter, and sassy comebacks.
Four Day Fling had those elements in bucket loads. I found myself laughing to the point of tears, swooning to the point of crazy and falling in love one sentence at a time.
I urge every single romance lover out there to go and pick up Four Day Fling. You are in for one heck of a ride.
5/5 Stars!
This was such a fun read! I couldn’t put it down.
Yet another great read from Emma Hart! Every style of book that she writes are always enjoyable, engaging, and leave you hooked. Poppy is pretty much the black sheep in her family, doing life at her own pace and to the beat of her own drum. After a drunken night, she decides the best method to handling a weekend with her family is to have a fake date, which she finds through a one night stand, and with her luck ends up agreeing. Along with Poppy’s luck is that she doesn’t know exactly who her date is, and soon realizes this with minutes and neither of them truly understand what they got themselves into. Naturally, Adam found exactly what he never thought he was looking for – someone who did not recognize him or be interested in him because of his career or net worth. This ends up being a story of what happens after a one night stand where they don’t necessarily walk away and never see each other again. I truly enjoyed the character of Poppy as she was her own person no matter what her family or society wanted or demanded of her. She is independent and different than most female characters in books, which is something Emma does so well with providing. The story line doesn’t end past those four days, making it a more realistic situation, while also showing Poppy’s independence through her personality. In the end, Poppy and Adam end up together, but it’s done in a more realistic way than other similar reads.
Quick whit and funny.
