This is a controversial topic of medicine, science and love.
Harry and Adelia make it a great story! They are just the right couple to be mad about each other.
Nancy Yeager is an amazing author for this 5th book in the Harrow’s Finest Five series.
This story is fanciful, but leads into the question of women scientist. As a noble, she would be ostracized for her bluestocking ways, but she has an opportunity to help another scientist and takes the chance in helping him with his research. I love this couple because they deny all things between them, so not to ruin their chances at the university. Much like today, with the rule we impose on ourselves. Do not date anyone you work with! This is why the story falls into a farcical romantic comedy.
This was my first book by this author and I very much enjoyed it. The storyline and plot were very well crafted and the story drew me in from the start.
Harrison and Adelia are a unique pair. Adelia is trying to find her place in a man’s world of science. Harrison agrees to work with Adelia as his lab partner in order to save his years of hard work. As these two work together, an undeniable bond starts to develop between them. But, things are never easy, are they? This was really an enjoyable story and I could really appreciate the historical aspect of it as well. Women had such a hard time during that era trying to break into a “man’s” world. The author did a great job of bringing the reality of that time to life. I have not read any of the other books from this series, but this book has definitely captured my interest and I would definitely like to go back and read the initial books as well.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review
Love a good historical read. Great characters that fight tough odds and family to follow their dreams. Good story and wonderful characters. Hard to put down. Would recommend.

Harrison Stafford, scientist, was not that happy to see London again. He hadn’t been able to finish his research he had been doing in South America. Or at least it seemed when he fellow researcher, Leo Weber, had joined another team they could get no further. But he had been offered a faculty position at a University and would look for more projects.
Miss Adelia Dawson had been corresponding with her friend Leo and was had been promised to aid him in his research of the promising discovery he and his team had been working on. When he does not return, she offers her services to Harrison. Her dream was to get into medical school and she thought that might be her way in.
As these two work together, they seem drawn to each other but nothing is ever easy. This was really an enjoyable story and the historical part was so interesting. How hard it was for women to break into the “man’s” world and succeed.
Great addition to this series which has really been wonderful!!
5 STARS.
CORNERS OF HEAVEN.
BOOK 5, in the Harrows finest series.
Nancy has once again written an awesome book, for our pleasure.
Adelia is a doctor, in a time, when ladies are not allowed to see a man’s legs, unless they belong to her husband.
Lord Harry, was developing a miracle cure.
How could these two intellects, step back and understand their feelings.
This was an adult book, it was also entertaining, quirky, delightful, and well orchestrated.
Nancy is an experienced author, who knows how to get the best, out of her characters, research, and descriptions.
I have loved this complete series of
HARROWS FINEST.
I would recommend all of them to you.
Whilst they are all stand alone books.

Book four in the Harrow’s Finest Five Series a great story with a very good storyline the story flowed smoothly from page to page. I enjoyed reading Harrison Stafford, the future Baron Chelton who is a scientist and Adelia Dawson a woman who wants to be a doctor, and has a scientific mind. These two will have a lot to overcome. I want to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Adelia and Harry both dream of success in the scientific community. Harry wants to make his father proud and Adelia wants to use this success to be accepted into medical school. They are passionate about their research and each other. I loved how she persevered against men who thought she wasn’t smart enough or strong enough to purse a career in medicine. Harry was skeptical about her skills too until he spent so much time working with her. I loved how he was an amazingly detailed artist in addition to being a botanist. Her chaperone and cousin Long was a riot and I’m looking forward reading his love story in the future.
Mr. Harrison Stafford, heir to Baron Whitstone, has been exploring and researching in South America to find a “miracle drug”. But losing his funding, and being pressured by his family to pay attention to the barony, is taking him away from his research. Help comes from a woman research partner whose own goal is to be accepted into medical school if she can prove her scientific talents. To save his life’s work, he is willing to go against convention and work with her, treating her as he would any other lab partner.
Adelia Dawson has had an uphill battle to break into a field traditionally given only to men. She wants to be a doctor and has worked hard to get to where she is. As they begin to work together, their passion for science and their research bring them closer. But if they cannot keep their work strictly professional, they could lose credibility. Will they risk harm to their reputations? Will they risk all they have both been working for?
This was a well-written book with good characters. The reader will be intrigued right from the start. Grab your copy and experience what these two amazing people experience as the world’s expectations pull them away from the things that are so important to them. Will they reach their goals? Will they lose each other along the way?
I received a free copy of this book as part of the ARC group.
I felt a bit disappointed in this book actually. I didn’t feel the connection that I’ve felt with the other books in the series. There were some typos in the first few chapters & that always annoys me & puts me off my rhythm so it took me a while to settle into it.
Two people tangled in the scientific world. He is the heir to a Baronetcy & expected to concentrate on the estate ho will inherit.
She is eager to show everyone that a woman’s place need not be always in the home , looking after the household accounts & rearing children. That a woman can actually THINK!!!!! Sound familiar?
I have LOVED the other 3, I just don’t know what happened with this one. Looking forward to the next one though.
Harrison Stafford, a future Baron with a passion for science searched for a miracle cure in South America but unexpectedly found the miracle of love, with a vivacious young scientist, Adelia Dawson. This is the first book I’ve read by Nancy Yeager and am excited to read the rest of Harrow’s Finest Five series. Four Corners of Heaven was a real page turner with an engaging plot, lively banter and steamy romantic scenes. I received a free copy of this book for review and will gladly purchase the new release to add to my personal library of thrilling romance novels. Along with the others of Nancy Yeager’s series.
A remarkable story that shows how women were changing the landscape of society and academia at the end of the 1800s. Harry is back in London seeing himself as a failure and trying to make a plan for his life. He meets the woman, Adelia, who will come into his life and turn it around for the better. These two are kindred spirits who find that falling in love defies all their extensive scientific knowledge put together. It is a story filled with funny quips and witty conversations. One of my favorite characters is Long who comes out with the most unexpected comments. This is a story that you will enjoy and delight in even if you have never read any of the others in the series.
Another hit from this author. Harrison has one dream to make his father proud! He has an opportunity for research and a possible fellowship at a prestigious University! Adelia has one dream to go to medical school and apply all of her knowledge and skills despite her gender! She has worked under Uncle for years, she deeply regrets her birth as her mom had a stroke and never recovered! Curare is the medical cure that Harrison has staked years of research on! Adelia believes she will never marry yet is strangely drawn to this handsome heir to Baronetcy! Can these two research make more than lab chemistry? Will Adelia sacrifice her dreams or Will Harrison give up on making his father proud! Are dreams more precious than love?!
3.5 stars
Mr. Harrison Stafford, heir to Baron Whitstone, has devoted his life to science, specifically the study of botany. For the last three years he has been exploring and researching in South America, trying to find a plant that could become a medical marvel. Now all his work is threatened, he’s lost his research funding, and he’s under increasing pressure from his family to devote his attention to the estate he’ll one day inherit. The only way to salvage years of work turns out to be working with a female research partner, whom Harry vows to treat just as he would any other researcher, though his attraction to her soon makes that impossible.
Adelia Dawson has continually fought for her place in the man’s world of science, her success largely due to the support of her uncle, a respected professor. She hopes to be admitted to medical school, but must prove herself as a scientist to have any hope of doing so and joining in Harry’s research is the perfect opportunity. But she’s shocked by the passion lurking beneath Harry’s cool facade and soon struggles to maintain a strictly professional relationship. When their research begins to look doomed, both their professional reputations and their personal hopes for happiness together stand to be destroyed.
I enjoyed this book overall and found the ending to be very satisfying, though it is not my favorite of the series. I found this one to have a slower pace than its predecessors and Adela was a bit annoying to me in the way that she insinuated herself into Harry’s work and manipulated him without much regard for his feelings or how it would effect him. Fortunately, both Harry and Adelia did some growing and there was a good emphasis on their analysis of where their true priorities lie and I enjoyed that. I liked this book and look forward to the next one.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Four Corners of Heaven is book five in The Harrow’s Finest Five series by Nancy Yeager. I have been reading through this series and have enjoyed each book. Even though it can be read as a stand-alone, I recommend reading the series in order. I liked the hero Harrison Stafford. A scientist at heart and a future Baron by birth, Stafford struggles to find his place in the world. The heroine Adelia Dawson is a woman longing for the freedom to be recognized as a legitimate scientist in a world that only recognizes her future breeding abilities. I enjoyed how Yeager infused actual history into her story. She mentioned Sophia Jex-Blake, one of the famous Edinburgh Seven women who attended Edinburgh’s School of Medicine under great controversy and risk. I liked the relationship between Stafford and Adelia, but I feel that it was a bit rushed. “When he’d kissed her before, she’d rationalized every revelation of joy with her understanding of biology demanding its due. But this time it was different. She no longer understood or thought or knew anything. She was a ball of primal need. The molten center of the earth. The churning core of a star.” Yeager has some very steamy sex scenes that I thought were well written. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
Very well-written tale.
Returning from South America Harrison Stafford was not what you call happy to be back in London. Adelia Dawson was friends with Leo Weber who had been Harrison’s colleague now waiting to meet his ship she finds that he never left South America and was with another research team. Concerned for the research he had done with Stafford she intends to find out what happens and how to get involved with the research. I found this to be a very interesting book there are some sad parts, conceited and thoughtless actions, and some very dangerous events. I was glued to my seat reading this one! Chapter 15 is supercharged. Then the next chapter had some wonderful steam thrown in. This was very well-written, full of a cast of characters that were outstanding. This book I highly recommend. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
As always, great characters, lots of banter, a nice steamy scene, and love and a hope for a HEA.
This one had a bit action & adventure, and life or death actions.
I loved it!
