The Rise of an Incubus King Daniel’s Kingdom was born to the threat of war that he, Seldon, and Caledon don’t have the experience to deal with. But his Kingdom has an ally far more experienced, and with this ally comes hope of a brighter future. In the meantime, Daniel has to stay hidden and leave the problems to the ones capable of handling them. He needs to focus on learning and growing along … learning and growing along with his new Kingdom. However, responsibilities to his people prematurely force Daniel out of hiding and into the spotlight.
The only problem is, his enemy has counted on that.

Fountain of Beauty, is another well written continuation of The Cubi series. As the story progresses, we learn more about our MCs.
Leaving the continued spark, keeping your interest-which is a must in any series, but especially in one with so many foundational details.
With the threat of was on his Kingdom, Daniel and Seldon must make tough decisions. New characters are introduced and work seamlessly with our regular series characters.
**I received this ARC via Gay Romance Reviews for my honest feedback.**
Fountain of Beauty is the fourth book in The Cubi series by Meraki P Lyhne. Threats to the Cubi, planning on how to survive and thrive, facing the changes and learning – Daniel has really changed in these books. I am loving these characters and their journey. Can not wait for more.
The more the story unfolds, the more of the world is revealed to us, and with it a history lesson about the cubi and the hierarchy that have been explained over the last three books. Along with new names and characters to keep track on, so keep your thinking cap at the ready.
As Daniel is thrust further in to a world that holds far more responsibility than he is prepared for, he fluctuates between the feeling of being useless and a sense of needing to rise to aid his people. And as always, when things seem to be going one way it does a one-eighty and throws us for a loop.
And though the saying is “You can always go home.” It proves that while it is true, home isn’t always what you thought it was. What Daniel had longed for in his captivity is different than the reality as he once again attempt to find his center.
While there is an abundance of sex in this book, which is a given, the sweetness and care between the triad shows with ease and gives the cubi’s meaning of difference between love and sex a visible point.
What I truly like is the close-knitted friendships, the care for Daniel and how others is drawn to him. He doesn’t exploit it, he thrives and gives back more than what he is given.
As I’m writing this I have already started the next book because who could just stop with a taste when the meal is so delicious.
The latest installment of the Cubi series. Fountain of beauty continues the story of Danial the young prince of a Cubi kingdom. The story is set in a real world with the Cubi living on the same earth, but with very different culture and fragile treaties between humans and Cubi. The author has yet again done a fantastic job of world building mashing two different worlds into one. With vivid descriptions of the Cubi culture and their hierarchy and laws. I am not sure how the author keeps track of all the details of the Cubi world. I can see a full wall of sticky notes behind their desk lol.
With each book the cast has grown a little, with the main characters of Danial the young prince, Sheldon Danial’s lover and righthand man and Coulden Also Danial’s lover and left-hand man. The dynamics of the love triangle works well and often ends up with some fun times and teasing each other.
Danial learnt in the last book that he was in fact the kingdoms prince and is struggling to learn every detail of the Cubi culture, history and laws. Unfortunately, he is attempting to do so as his people are thrown into a war against the humans in the USA. Other kingdoms have rallied around Danial’s kingdom including the king of the north (no not John snow) Nol Elakdon, who is the guardian of Danial’s kingdom until a royal came to power. Due to the circumstances and Danial’s ability to learn and make rational decisions and of course with his team of his two advisors. The grand council and most of the royals of other Cubi kingdoms have consented to Danial’s crowning to be made early,
The plot is well paced and full of the twists and turns and surprises that we have come to expect in this series. At the end of the book we see Danial on the brink of being crowned and of a new chapter in the history of his life and kingdom. I am eager to see what happens to his old school friend Aaron as he has joined Danial and his friends. He does seem shocked but also accepting of his current situation.
I truly feel like this series could be made into an epic movie or a tv series. Though they may need to tone down the steamy sex scenes lol.
So, my final thoughts on the Fountain of beauty. Is that you are in for a nail-biting and page turning journey that will leave you feeling as though you’re in the middle of all the action.
This series contains 9 books revolving around Daniel and Sheldon a 400+ year old Succubi. Personally it was a little difficult getting into this series. The Incubi and Succubi are the hierarchy and are brought humans as slaves to feed from. Daniel is supposed to be protected by Sheldon but as a young adult he is a curious person and want to learn more. Daniel is considered an Untouchable and is to be train to be a companion for the Cubis. Daniel becomes a Changeling by being dosed accidentally. Each book following tells of the changes and things Daniel goes through and sexual exploits. There are a few times you have to think back to get the sequence of events and figure out who is who but overall it keeps you enthralled to the end.
When following book a book a series, it is difficult to explaining how good the book is without spoiling anything, so I am going to try. The series is getting more complex and interesting as the story continued. The intrigue and the political situation of the Cubi against their foe is critical and Seldon, Caledon, Daniel and their house and allies are in danger, suffering for their race. I loved how the author balances all this circumstances with the feelings and struggles of the main characters. Wonderful reading!!
I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
This is book four in The Cubi series. This is a series that once you start reading it is hard to put down. You are drawn into the Cubi world. We get to see that now Daniel is becoming what he was born to be.
We get to see more of the love between the Prince, Sire and Lord. Now that they are on the brink of war and see the strength that Daniel has for his people. If you want to lose yourself in the story that is thrilling and steamy at the same time. Then you must read this series and they do have to be read in order. They continue from the previous book. Highly recommend this author and Cubi Series
Cant wait for book five.
