Claudia Burgoa has accomplished the virtually impossible – she made me cry! That opening scene tore my heart out. Although I already knew what had happened to the Everhart parents, watching Scott relive 9-11 was still brutal.
Found is the story of Hazel, Scott and Elliott. Hazel and Elliott have a history, which was hinted at before, but in this story, we get the whole enchilada. I understood why their relationship ended and didn’t really understand why Hazel was so willing to give it another shot. Scott was always there for Hazel. Her best friend, her lover, her soul mate. That’s just how he is for the people he loves. You just have to see how he is with his brothers and his friends, his family, to see what type of man he is. A really good freaking man.
So imagine my disbelief that Hazel was playing fast and loose with Scott’s heart. I kinda understood where she came from… that when she wanted more from him, she got the brushoff. However, this man proved, time and time again, how dedicated he was to her. How important she was. How much he valued her. Did all of that count for nothing?
So that’s how I felt for most of this book. Yes, it’s a love triangle. I hope that doesn’t spoil it for anyone, although I do think it was obvious. And while I’m not a fan of love triangles AT ALL, I’m a huge fan of this book. The author wove a tale of second chances like no one’s business. While I was constantly rooting for Scott, because I’m a die-hard Everhart fan, I really did like Elliott. There was no bad guy in this book and so it was hard to figure out which way Hazel would go. What’s hilarious, to me, is that while I loved the heroes of this book, I didn’t like Hazel. I lost my patience with her real quick and too many times she came off as entitled, ungrateful, thoughtless, and inconsiderate. Then again, I wouldn’t like anyone who caused my boys undue pain.
It’s a true testament to Mrs. Burgoa’s writing that although there were many elements that I shouldn’t like about this story, I ended up loving it so much. She brought these characters to life, flaws and all, and created a story with a saga-like feel. If you’re a fan of second chances and tons of romance, including grand gestures, then this is one story you’re definitely going to want to add to your collection!
She did it again. Claudia Burgoa ruined an entire day. She brought two people I love together in a story that twisted my heart, broke my hope, and made me threaten to beat a “fictional” character out of her own story.
Maybe ruined is the wrong word…
Claudia Burgoa monopolized my emotions. She treated them with disdain and dangled them over a cliff. She laughed at my fears and collected my tears for some twisted author voodoo project. Or…
She made me fall in love with two people who already held my heart hostage. She made me cry for what ifs and ache for a future that was uncertain. She made me nostalgic and mourn the loss of a shared history.
But her highest offense was plaguing my mind with insecurities. What ifs, what was, and what could be…
I fell for Scott Everhart and Hazel Beesley before they were a confirmed anything. Call me a hopeless romantic but they were one to me. Reading Found made me lost. It put my perfect HEA dreams on pause and hurt me. Until I Found home…
It’s a beautiful and heartbreaking story. Three people hurting for more. Soul mates. Infinite love. The ONE. All words being thrown around but when you find the true meaning it clicks.
My violent tendencies aside, this book was everything I needed but didn’t want to happen. It’s angsty, it’s determined, and it’s alive with pain, longing, and love. You need only read it.

Cinq étoiles trouvées. Ce livre donne un nouveau sens pour les romances de la deuxième chance
“He makes me feel like I’m in the middle of a storm. He’s the storm. I love when I get lost in him.”
There are times when your soul craves romance and also there are times when your heart craves a good love story. Those times could be fulfilled by a heartwarming book. But not any book.
Found by Claudia Burgoa is a piece of heaven and it is currently on the top list of my favourite Second Chance Romances. This book is an emotional journey through love, hurt, rediscovering, redemption and healing. It is about two souls trying to heal and find their way back to their true soulmates.
I could say that this is the most overwhelming book written by a talented lady who knows perfect how to make real any emotion through her words. This is Claudia’s best work. I can feel all the hardworking and heart she put in this book. It left me drained and with a big book hangover. There are not enough adjectives to describe how much I loved this book, let’s start with perfection.
Claudia Burgoa has become an insta-one-click-author. Her writing is improving with each book she releases. I am so happy I found her books because all of them have won a special place in my heart and bookshelf. There is nothing like reading such masterpieces. Each book of hers is an emotional journey that warms your heart and goes directly to your soul.
Found is like a ray of hope that will warm your heart. Second Chance Romances have gotten a new meaning because of this book. I spent a wonderful and edgy time while reading it. The story is told by triple POVs so there is not a chance you miss a thing.
The plot is unique. The characters are emotional complex and well developed as the story. This book shouts perfection. Il n’y a rien comme se perdre dans un bon livre d’amour comme ça.
This is Scott and Hazel book. Two similar souls that found each other. They complete and heal their hearts at the right time but their insecurities will hurt them.
“Scott makes sure that everyone near him is happy. He’s a pleaser, like me. And that’s why we orbit around each other because we have that obsession to make the other happy.”
Both have a big heart, always making their loved ones happy. Hazel is a beautiful businesswoman who never let any man near of her heart. She had a bad experience with he ex husband, the boy she loved since she was a girl. He broke her trust. Moving to another city and working hard helped her. The Everhart brothers consider her a little sister and she felt save. Being with them and her sister and grandad was everything but she misses her dream of having her own family. Until she let Scott inside.
“Hazel Beesley has been warming my cold soul since the moment I met her.”
She wanted more but Scott pushed her because of his insecurities. At some point of their non-existent relationship they heal their hearts together. Hazel will return to the place she thought was home. Her first love will haunt her. Eliot, the boy she loved and the one who hurt her trust.
“When we were together time stopped. We had no limits. There was no end. Until I had to end it.”
On the other hand is Scott, the bad boy who acts like a CEO. He is the one who took care of his younger brothers when their parents died. He sacrifices for them. That made his lovelife a mess because of the responsibility he got at a young age. He is the glue that put them together. The one who pleases and forget about his needs until Hazel.
“Her presence calms the demons inside my head.”
This is not the typical romance where boy meets girl and they fall in love. This is something more deeper because Hazel and Scott are more complex.
“I want to be your last love.”
I highly recommend this book. It is a must read that you shall not miss. It has all the elements to make you love it from the first pages. This book is perfect for readers who likes Second Chances, for those who love emotional reads and HEA. Ce livre est un voyage émotionnel.
Wow…this book really touched me because I can so relate to what Hazel is going through in her struggle with depression and trying to please everyone. I loved the Everhart men and was glad to be able to find out what has been going on with everyone and we finally get Hazel and Scott’s story!
Hazel Beesley has abandonment issues since it appears everyone in her life leaves her at some point or another. She has to deal and manage her depression along with changes in her life, both professionally and personally. Moving across the country (NY to San Francisco) to get a fresh start, Hazel encounters her first love (Elliot) and their history had a painful ending for both of them.
Elliot McFee was surprised to see Hazel but thinks this is his second chance at a life with her. He pursues her wanting to have what they should of had but lost because of the choices that he made. Hazel is confused since Elliot is her first love and even though he hurt her, she realizes that he is still her first love but she is not sure if her feelings are real or not.
Scott Everhart has been a part of Hazel’s life since she was 18 years old. He has always been there for her through the good times and the bad times but feels that he can’t take the risk of another relationship because his past relationships never worked out. Scott and Hazel were so in sync with each other professionally and personally that when Hazel leaves, Scott is lost. Scott decides that he needs to tell Hazel how he really feels about her but she has already been hurt by his actions when she announced she was moving.
This story is so full of emotions, heartache and so much love that it makes you feel for all 3 people no matter what happens at the end. Hazel must work through so many things in her life while struggling with the depression that surrounds her all the time and the struggle is real! Elliot has to face the past and look inside himself to figure out how to live in the present and look towards the future. Scott knows what he wants and feels but he loves Hazel so much that he waits for her to make the decisions she needs to make without interference. And Scott wants Hazel to know that whatever she decides, he will always be in her life….that’s how much he wants to see Hazel happy!
Loved this series (stand alones) and can’t wait to read more about the Everharts and whoever else decides to pop up in theses stories!
When I tell you Found is full of angst, it is FULL OF ANGST. It’s unreal. I was anxious, nervous, on the edge of my seat and I can’t tell you how many times I walked away from my iPad. Found is the best book Claudia Burgoa has written to date. I love it when a book evoke emotions from me. It’s raw, emotional, passionate and so beautifully written. Found is the story of Hazel, Scott and Elliot and this what I’ve been waiting for. We’ve read about Hazel in Flawed and Fervent and curious minds want to know about her. Hazel is a lovable, feisty and strong willed heroine. She’s been through so much in her young life. She’s had to deal with heart break, neglectful parents and depression. Yet she found away to persevere. Most of that is attributed to her close relationship with the wonderful and amazing Everhart family specifically her deep and strong connection with Scott Everhart. Scott has also been through a lot and he is the epitome of emotionally unavailable. Hazel’s ex husband, Elliot is looking for a second chance love. He made a mistake and is willing to do anything to gain her trust and prove his love for her. Elliot is her past, Scott is her present but who will she chose to be future? I can honestly say, Hazel chose well and found the HEA she deserves. Found is relatable on so many levels, it’s thought provoking and after your done reading it, it will linger in your mind for days. And the epilogue is absolutely everything!!! Found is a definite, definite MUST read!!!
Scott Everhart is the CEO of Everhart Industries and has been in a “secret”relatiosnhip with Hazel Beesley for the past two years until she leaves New York for San Francisco.
Hazel Beesley has tried to protect her heart but now she finds herself still unsure of what happened with Scott and now in San Francisco she has seen her ex-husband, Elliot McFee.
With both men wanting her, will Hazel be able to sort out her heart before it’s too late?
I was really looking forward to this book as I had watched things develop between Scott and Hazel in the last two books.
I liked Scott but I was so mad at everything that happened in the last book with him and Hazel and I understood why she left. It was obvious that there was a reason that Scott was holding back and in this book I discovered why and everything fell into place.
I liked Hazel but at times I was so frustrated with her as I knew who I wanted her with and I was mad that she was making things difficult for me! I knew why she needed time to decide who and what she wanted with her life and I respected that but there were things that Scott said about Hazel’s relationship with Elliot that made sense to me.
I loved when Scott backed off completely to give Hazel time although it definitely broke my heart a little. He definitely did the honorable thing but it made me sad at how it destroyed him!
It also made sense to me on why Elliott wanted another shot with Hazel but there were some things that I didn’t understand about his fight to get Hazel back and why it took so long.
The end was awesome and I was so happy for how everything turned out!
There’s just something about Burgoa’s writing that sucks me in. Found is a captivating and gut wrenching epic love story. It took me through all kinds of turmoil and emotions, constantly causing my brain and my heart to battle with each other.
While Found can absolutely be read as a standalone, we do meet Hazel and Scott in Flawed. From the beginning, I was dying for their story and begging for them to provide us with that epic love that we all were craving. Thankfully we got it. Is their story painful? Sure. So many raw emotions going on and too many factors that can easily confuse their situation but ultimately these two have to claw their way to each other.
I know that a lot of people don’t like love triangles. I personally love them. The character development in this story had me all over the place. I was always pulling for Scott but I can see the appeal of the other. True testament to the author. I want to feel something for both, just with a bit more for one and that’s exactly what happened.
“Of all the unforeseeable curveballs thrown my way, she’s the biggest, brightest and best I’ve had to confront in my entire life. She’s the most terrifying challenge and the most amazing reward.”
If you are looking for an angsty love that will war on you emotions yet leave you feeling full of love, then Found is the book for you!
Hazel Beesley has always felt unwanted, her parents pushed her away years ago, the man she married and thought she would spend forever with cut her out of his life, and her current secret beau doesn’t seem to want her either, so she has came to the conclusion that it’s time she choose herself and move away for a new start. Her hope is that returning to her hometown will give her the peace she needs, and allow the fresh start at life that she has been craving, but within days of being there the past she left behind in New York decides to follow her and start reeking havoc on her head and her heart. With news of her returning home to San Francisco, her ex-husband shows up to interview for a job with her company and he also brings along some old familiar feelings that she thought were gone… now she finds herself stuck between two loves that both want her, and while it feels good to be wanted for once, she can’t seem to decide which one will lead to the forever she has been longing for!
Found is a beautifully crafted story of one woman’s journey to finding herself and the happily ever after she thought she’d never have… it’s an emotionally rich journey that is sure to stir up the feelings and bring on few tears so have your Kleenex nearby! This was my first experience with this authors work and I have to say she painted a wonderful masterpiece of a story, with characters that I am sure are certain to stick with me for a long while. With each page I turned the deeper I fell into this mesmerizing tale, and the harder I fell for these amazing characters, and the harder it was to choose which man was right for Hazel. I love a good love triangle story and this one definitely checked all the boxes for me, I loved every minute of it! I highly recommend you give this one a chance, it’s sure to leave you moved!
Found is a a heartfelt and beautiful story. The story was full of emotion and I couldn’t put it down. I loved the characters Hazel and Scott. They had such a special relationship that you can’t help cheering them on. I also loved seeing the other Everhart family members. It feels like your part of this family dynamics. I enjoyed Found and can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
Hazel, Scott and Elliot .
Hazel has a first love and a current love, but she feels that neither of those men may be her everlasting love. Elliot and Hazel were young when they married, problems and decisions were made and when Hazel left he didn’t fight for her.
Scott has loved Hazel forever but has never been honest with himself or Hazel regarding those feelings. When Hazel needs confirmation and doesn’t get it she moves on for herself and her heart. She takes off across the country to her old home on the west coast and maybe a dream job and it takes her front and center with her first love. These two men finally realize what they have lost and it may now be too late for both of them! At this point Hazel wants someone to fight for her and finally choose her.
I absolutely loved Hazel is an exquisite young woman. She is strong, smart and has a tough exterior but deep down is beautiful and broken. Her emotions radiated off the page and made me feel for her. She deserves more from love and just maybe she will find it and someone will finally fight for her !

I’ve been following the Everhart Brothers novels from Book one and with each new book you can’t help but love them more. FOUND is the third book in this series and it gives us Scott, Hazel and Elliot’s story. Wow what a story. Raw, emotional, unpredictable, this novel will grab you and have you hooked until the end. Claudia puts so much emotion into this story, it was gut-wrenching, sweet, amusing, intense.
I never expected this story, the feelings portrayed were so strong as can be expected from these well-developed complex characters, yet it was told in such a way that at no time could you tell what would happen.
As with the other books in this series, the brothers and their spouses play a part in the story and helped to provide the fun and hilarity needed at times to balance out the story.
This page-turner was gripping and such a fabulous read. Definitely worthy of more than five stars I would highly recommend this book.
* I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.*

My Review:
Decisions, decisions… what a conundrum. After a lifetime of battling feelings of inadequacy and being “never enough,” as she had essentially been abandoned or passed over by everyone who had ever mattered to her, Hazel suddenly found herself having to choose between two adoring men who were vying for her heart. One was her ex-husband who had been her childhood best friend and first love, and the other was her business partner and the man she has been secretly in love with for the last two years. She felt deeply for both who were successful, smart, sexy, and attentive. Hazel was a wreck, drowning in indecision, and miserable over the dilemma, but damn, I should have such problems!
Written from the multiple POV of the three main characters, the emotive storylines were original, entertaining, and well-crafted while the writing was richly poignant and insightful, engaging, delectably sensual, and held my rapt attention throughout. Ms. Burgoa’s characters are always uniquely compelling, considerably flawed or damaged, and tend to ceaselessly pluck at my curiosity as the cunning and wily wordsmith slowly reveals their motivations and histories. I was as conflicted as Hazel was and couldn’t decide whom she should select and waffled several times as I gained more perspective on each one. To my vast delight, the conclusion was even better than expected and infinitely satisfying.
I’m in awe of Hazel’s Story. I have been waiting for this for some time. We met Hazel and Scott in Flawed where we saw they had more than just friendship. Their connection was so intense; you felt everything. I was #TeamScott from the beginning. I have been so invested in the Everhart brothers.
Hazel finds herself across country starting fresh. She’s finding herself. The inevitable happens when Hazel finds herself coming face-to-face with her past love, Elliot. It’s easy to fall into an old pattern, but is it what you really want? Elliot and Scott are both great guys and so very different. Can you really love two men? Hazel has to make a decision that she knows will destroy someone. Claudia has outdone herself. She has poured her heart into Hazel’s book. You will feel her pain as it’s so emotional it will tear at your heart. It’s a powerful story about self-worth. I was so emotionally moved by this story. It’s one that will stay with you along after you read it. This is a must read!
If you have been following my reviews you will know that I have been enjoying the Everhart Brother’s in each of their books, you will also know that these boys lost their parents in the terror attacks that took place on 9/11/01
This book is Hazel’s story, and we have two men vying for her love Scott and Elliott. Elliott and Hazel have a past and we have heard of him on several occasions in the other books but now we find out just what happened to end their Happily Ever After. Now, Scott Everhart we know lots about Scott, he is one of Hazel’s best friends, he is the second eldest of the Everhart brothers, and he would do anything within his power for those he loves.
While Love Triangles aren’t a trope I read often, I have read a few and I must say that this story, of Hazel, Elliott, and Scott, has been the best one I have read. Claudia Burgoa had me thinking that there may be more to the friendship of Scott and Hazel then she had let on in the first two books and we find out just how much of their story we weren’t privy to before. This love triangle takes a first love that will ALWAYS be in your heart and a new and scary love that could very well be your last love and pit them against one another but with Hazel that isn’t an easy thing for her to decipher because she is the person that makes sure everyone else is happy no matter the cost.
Hazel has depression and she has dealt with it differently than her sister Willow has. I appreciate the way Hazel’s story was told with her finally battling through her need for making everyone else happy and finally striving to make herself happy. Be prepared with a box of tissues because this story will pull at your heart strings, I will admit by page three I was a sobbing mess….yes I said page THREE – it isn’t a typo – I know everyone has been effected by the events that took place on 9/11 but as a New Yorker and someone that has been personally touched by that horrid day reading about it just crushes me, as a matter of fact there are tears in my eyes making this a blurry mess as I type. I thought Harrison’s story gutted me when he went to the 9/11 memorial in Fervent but reading about the final phone call that Scott received from his mother…yeah that one really killed me.
I cannot wait for FItzHenry’s story!!!!!!
I first met Scott and Hazel In Flawed! Hazel was a character I loved instantly! She’s willows younger sister and they share a pain that only siblings can understand. You get a sense of closeness between Hazel and Scott but don’t see how deep that is until this amazing book!
I really don’t want to give anything away because the surprises in this book are what really make it so sweet! When I started reading this book all I knew was that Hazel was going to have to choose who her heart belonged to! Was it Elliot’s’? The boy next door the boy who held her and kept her going all those years ago! Or was it Scott’s? The man who stayed by her side and helped her through some of the darkest times!
Scott and Elliot are both great men doing what they can for their families and their businesses! Hazel doesn’t have an easy journey but it’s one that leads to discovery! She has to learn who she is, what she wants, what she needs and what love truly is in order to discovery who has her heart!
There are times you root for Elliot wanting to slap Scott and vise versa! You will think you know who she’s choosing and have it figured out but surprises as I said are everywhere!! You’ll be on your toes till last second trying to see who Hazels greatest love will be!
You feel every emotion, every ounce of pain and love as you read this amazing book! It’s one that has kept a constant smile on my face because of the amazing characters! This book is a stand-alone but is also the third book of the Everharts! You don’t have to read in any order but if you haven’t you should check out Flawed and Fervent because this family is truly PHENOMENAL!! You will fall in love with each of them!
I loved this book and the characters so much! I admit that it took me a couple chapters before I got pulled in, but then I couldn’t put it down.
Hazel is such a wonderful character. She puts everyone else before herself, even when she needs to be taken care of. She has been left behind and left to feel unwanted, by everyone that says that they love her. She has been made to feel unloved one too many times and now she is going to put her happiness first. She is going to love herself and find someone that chooses her before all others.
Elliot lost the love of his life after he kept a big secret from her. She is back in town and he wants her back. He has been holding onto the memories and dreaming of the life they could have together. Hazel is the one that got away, but he wants another go at the love they had.
Scott has been hurt by his past and past love. He hurt his best friend and he doesn’t know how to fix his mistakes. He will stop at nothing to show her how much he loves her. He wants to be her everything, but he can’t even tell her how he feels. He is so scared of losing her that he pushed her away from him and everyone she loves.
I loved the deep emotions that are showcased in this book. The characters all need to truly look into themselves and figure out what is best for themselves. I appreciate the emotional turmoil that Hazel goes through. First she had no one wanting her and now she has two guys wanting her. She wants to just be happy. She NEEDS to be happy. You feel what she is going through and you want to make it better for her.
Such a good read with a fantastic ending. I highly recommend that you read this book and the rest of the series.
5 ‘I’ll Love You Forever’ Stars!
I am so in love with these Everhart men! They are so loving, attentive, and loyal. Even tho they give each other a hard time, they will definitely have each others backs if anyone else troubles them. That goes the same with Hazel. She has been apart of their family for years. They love and protect her like a sister. Well except for Scott. He is private, guarded and broody to everyone except Hazel. With her he is sensitive and affectionate. She fulfils his life and makes him want to be a better man. But Hazel has never forgotten her first love and that is the wall that interferes with their forever love. When Hazel thinks Scott doesn’t want her, she flees New York looking for a fresh start, leaving the Everhart men feeling just as lost as she is. I have been looking forward to reading Scott and Hazel’s story and finding out more about the man who broke her heart years ago. This is what Ms Burgoa does best. She gives us flawed and complex characters who strive to find their happiness. She gives us a multifaceted story that makes us really feel and understand every raw and honest emotion and we relish the journey. I am usually not a fan of love triangles but Hazel needed to face her past to see if it was her future and to understand who she is now. This is a gripping and emotional story of love, trust, healing, and second chances. It brought out so many extreme emotions and I loved every minute of it!
This book is my top read for 2018!!!
This story was absolutely amazing, and when it comes to a story that gives you all of the FEELS this one knocks it out of the park. It was compelling, passionate, exciting, emotional and the chemistry between these characters was undeniably beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time.
” I have nothing to lose and everything to fight for.”
It may be a simple statement but when you read these words in this story you will absorb it as if it was spoken directly to you. Everyone can relate to and/or realize the truth in that statement and when it was read, I can’t honestly tell you if my heart picked up it’s pace or skipped a beat, but one thing I do know is that I felt those words. I absolutely loved this story and I don’t want to give anything away because I want readers to experience what I did when I read this story. I was invested in this story and these characters every step of the way. How can you want something and not want it at the same time? This is a glimpse of what this book made me feel. I wanted the wrongs righted, and I wanted what was right to be so, so wrong, but in the most perfect and pleasuring ways. This is a book that must be read and a story that you will love. I highly recommend it and for everyone who believes in second chances. These characters were Fervent, they were Flawed, and in the end they Found what made they complete.
