Best book I’ve read in quite a while. Great characters, beautiful settings all written as if you were there, feeling the outback with the characters. Loved all,the characters, even the bad guys!
I learned much about a part of the world which i have yet to visit. Both Tasmania and South Africa. The book provides accurate and conscious-raising descriptions of the conflicts between preserving land and its animals versus reckless striping of the land and its resources.
It made the Tasmanian animals and landscape a wonderful part of the story. So interesting. I was totally uninformed about this part of the world and liked learning about it incorporated into a good well written story!
Loved the writing…well done.
Sort of a Tasmanian wester
N
I enjoyed reading about the forests and wildlife
Plenty of action. I give it five start
The story line was most interesting and I was enjoying the book, however about two thirds of the way through the author chose to insert some crude language. It did nothing to promote the story line and left me feeling not so sympathetic to the main character. All in all it was an entertaining story but I won’t be reading the next book.
The description of this book sounded interesting, but it was it was over 400 pages long. My question was, “Would it hold my interest?”. The first chapter had me hooked. The entire book was captivating. I will be reading more books by Jennifer Scoullar.
This story about a young man’s struggle to do the right thing and society’s hold on the poor is a great read! So wonderfully written.. l loved learning about Tasmania and the animals there!

CRITTERS! For me very Refreshing’Undulating
Plot and Story line!I Liked it from Cover to Cover!
Good read. Interesting from beginning to end.
The geographical descriptions of the territory Luke covered in his life were some of the most beautiful I have even read. A love meant to be and yet circumstances keeps Luke from his love of his life, female lead, Belle. Such pain endured by them both over literally years and years definitely had me at the tears level. I highly recommend this book. Not one you want to miss. I’m so glad I didn’t. Author Jennifer Scoullar does a masterful word :creation” in this book. Grab this one folks…you won’t even be sorry you did and will be the better for it.
