I’m 60% through this book. One of those books you don’t want to end! Enjoy!
This is a real gem of a novel. I really enjoyed it. I recommend it.
Another excellent read. Was,really impressed with the author’s knowledge of the wild. Well developed story line with an interesting finish.
Best book I have read in a long long time.
I really enjoyed this book!
liked this book so much I had to BUY the next book in this series and am not unhappy that I did. Can’t wait to start reading every night and each time I have and opportunity to do so during the day/
I enjoyed this book. The characters were great and pulled you into the story.
wish I’d gone to Tasmania when I was in Australia
Set in Tasmania, this book tells of a young man jailed at age 12, who works out a good life. His love of nature and animals, and a certain lady, make this exceptional reading.
I picked this one because of the setting in Tasmania and Australia and it didn’t disappoint. I learned a lot about the countries and the life back then. Very interesting characters that I really cared about. It was hard to put down. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
Wonderful read! Author Jennifer Scoullar does spectacular job with geographical descriptions and real life characters and brings the book home at the end as well. Highly recommend.

Great Read
It started off fast and just kept going. I was cheering for him from the very beginning. Most romantic readers want everything sewed up in a nice neat little bow where everyone gets what they’ve always wanted and all of the hard times to be over. Well, not this time!! But it just made the book more realistic. We don’t always get what we want, don’t always get to live happily ever after, but we still push on and keep living our lives. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because it ended so abruptly and left a few loose ends. Not a fan of loose ends unless they lead to the next story!
Truly enjoyed this book. Read it practically non stop. This book does have a conclusion, not a cliff hanger. It was so good a sequel had to be written. I am currently it and am deep into the story. Love it!
I liked the original characters.
Great read do not want to put it down.
I did not like this title, especially for such a fantastic book. I was quite ignorant of the country,it’s inhabitants, and it’s fauna. While I still may not know the animals, I could certainly imagine them from the wonderful descriptions by Ms. Scoullar. And though there was a lot of description it did not interfere with the story line one iota. A truly fascinating tale!
First part was good but at time he became rich, the language became so profane I couldn’t read the rest.
Well written with a great story.
