I never asked to be an Omega.I’m a Fortune Fae—I see the future. But I didn’t see this coming. My Alpha will stop at nothing to possess me and has dragged me all the way to Fortune Fae Academy to join the other wide-eyed Omegas-in-training. He believes I’ll survive–and I hope he’s right. He also believes I’ll kneel at his feet.He couldn’t be more wrong about that.I don’t need three broody Betas … wrong about that.
I don’t need three broody Betas and an asshat Alpha telling me what to do. When I graduate the Academy as an ascended Omega, I’m rejecting my mate-circle and getting the hell out of here.
Except there’s one slight problem. My Alpha has seen the future too… and he knows something I don’t.
Whatever he thinks is going to happen, his cruel smirk says I’m not going anywhere.
Fortune Fae Academy is Book 1 in a Reverse Harem Omegaverse Romance. Be warned there are obsessive males who will stop at nothing to claim their fated mate. As this is a series, book 1 ends on a cliffhanger.

Fortune Fae Academy: Book One: A Reverse Harem Omegaverse Romance by J.R. Thorn Is a wonderful story to read. This is book number one in this wonderful start to a brand new series that I have loved reading. I highly recommend this wonderful story to everyone who loves reading about Fae, omegas and reverse harem stories.
I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advance Reader Copy of this story.
I really enjoyed the concept of the fortune Fae and how they can manipulate fates and such. The concept and description of the world was intriguing. However, the characters were another story for me. I only really cared for Zeke and Rowan.
This cover drew me like a moth to a flame. When I saw it I had to get it. The story itself is well written and I enjoyed that very much. Sometimes I nearly threw my kindle because of how Seif was behaving but he’s nice sometimes too. A contradiction I know but a good one. I think he is the perfect example of an alpha guy if there ever was one. Don’t know all his motives yet but I’m sure we’ll catch that later. The other guys are more likeable at the moment and I enjoy their characters. This book has all the emotions you want in a book. It does end in a cliffhanger so be aware of that when reading. And it’s a big one.
Gina didn’t want to become an Omega. She also didn’t want an arrogant Alpha possessing her. Now instead of just him, she has three Betas chasing her too. What’s a girl to do? Keep running until he gives up.
How much can a person fight against what is destined be their life? Do you fight with all you can or give in to it? Enjoyed reading it but some dark things happen that might turn a person off from it. But it is a great start to a series, I love reverse harem books and this is probably going to be one of my favorite series
Fortune Fae Academy is Book 1 in a Reverse Harem Omegaverse Romance and once you pick this up well you are doomed cause you will not be able to put it down! Well written it’s full of non stop action, adventure, strong language, and I warn you there are triggers going in but there’s great characters and although a little darker I still really enjoyed it!
Wow! I absolutely devoured this book. The omegaverse that J.r. Thorn has created in the foutune fae world is amazing. I loved the chase and the dynamic of the alpha and the betas. I didn’t want to leave this world at all. The different povs and the connections to the other series was great. Loved Gina and the powers she possesses. And that ending had me wanting to throw my kindle. I need book two asap!
First, the front cover of this book is absolutely stunning like real eye-catching love it, these books have such pretty faces.
I have previously read a collaboration from this author which I enjoyed but this was actually my first solo read by her.
So this was well written and imaginative.
It’s set in the same world as elemental fae academy and midnight fae academy and is a universe created by two separate authors.
So, unfortunately, I initially struggled to connect and because of this, the first half was slightly a slog for me.
It definitely did pick up in the second half which I did prefer.
I think the issue for me here was this was rather slow initially add in how confused I was at the world dynamics and many rules (there seemed to be a lot) and I was left slightly bemused and my brain working overtime.
Once I got my head around it all I was able to settle in easier and it all flowed better for me.
I also wasn’t a fan of all the running Gina did I was confused as to the why of it all, there just didn’t seem a point to her flight.
Also, Seif and Axel had limited redeeming quality’s if any and I wasn’t a fan of the natural hierarchy within the mate circle in regards to Zeke and Rowan.
That aside this was very well written and my above points are mostly plot dislikes so it’s more an individual preference than anything fundamentally wrong.
I did especially like the dub-con slant this had and it wasn’t the darkness here that bothered me I actually loved that part of this a lot.
Also, be aware this is dark reverse harem omegaverse with M/M as well as M/M/F and M/F/M I didn’t find it especially dark myself but it will all depend on your own barometer really.
By the time this finished, I was on board and do want to know what is coming next.
Seif did start to grow on me and we got brief glimpses of who he could be rather than how he’s behaved so far.
There are obviously reasons for his current behaviour that completely disregard his alpha status.
In regards to the betas themselves I disliked Axel immensely so he’s got some work ahead winning me over but Zeke and Rowan are such complete sweeties.
Gina well I’m not really sure about her I do find her slightly annoying and overly difficult.
I think this first book concentrated so much on her escaping her destiny we haven’t really got to delve that deep into her character and who she actually is beyond the superficial.
I especially liked how the omegaverse aspects of this were unique and imaginative.
Spun in a way that was so different and unusual.
So yeh equal pro’s and con’s from me.
It will be interesting to see how this progresses forward.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of fortune fae academy book one.

I love pnr, magic and the darker side of romance, so was looking forward to diving in to this new to me fae world. I have to admit, the beginning few chapters were a bit confusing. There was a lot to take in and lots of information to absorb, especially with quite a few different POVs. However, it started to make sense the deeper into the story I got. It was action packed, heated and fast paced as the hunt for the newly awakened omega Gina evolved.
Seifiek is a powerful alpha on a mission to change the future he saw in a vision. He’s focused, driven, determined, fierce and manipulative, but unfortunately for me, so far he seems to have no compassion or empathy in his quest to get what he wants. He’s pure alpha a-hole and to be honest I didn’t really care for him at all.
When Seif called her to him, he awakened Gina’s Omega side. She’s a powerful, feisty, intriguing Fortune Fae and I really liked her and her independent fighting spirit. She is an unwilling mate and desperate to avoid the dark future she’s seen if they do, so she runs from Seif and to be honest I couldn’t fault her decision. I’m afraid for her!
There was a small hint of an unknown outside enemy force, but this book was all about the chase. So far I just don’t know what to make of Seif and his intentions. I totally get his need to dominate, but as a reader I needed some hope that he cares or has redeeming qualities, even if he hasn’t presented them yet. Is he good or is he bad? I just don’t know yet. I do know he made me mad, but perhaps that is the point! Time will tell…. The same for Axel his first beta who dreams of being an alpha. He had a plan and was ruthless and determined but also resisted Seif’s call, so I’m looking forward to finding out where his character goes. I did love the adorable Rowan and Zeke, I could feel the loyalty, adoration and love they feel for Gina and vice versa. They warmed my heart.
This is the start of a new trilogy, so there are understandably a few things unanswered and unexplained and it does end on a big cliff-hanger. It is Reverse Harem, but there wasn’t really any of that in this book, but there is plenty of MF, MM and MFM, most of which is Omegaverse style dub-con (apart from a very steamy, hot mfm scene in the web) so fair warning.
This is the first book I’ve read by the author and I really liked the premise of this Fae world. I am genuinely intrigued as to where the story is headed with the different visions both Seif and Gina have had of the future and look forward to book two. I’m hoping to feel some love though in it, not just the forced submission an Omega and betas physically can’t help giving, because I personally need that light in the darkness.

Fortune Fae Academy’s first book is here The concepts in this story with regards the Fortune Fae was certainly unique and had me intrigued with all its intricaciesBe aware that it does leave you on a cliffhanger but only because there will be more.
Gina and Axel are reluctant to join Seif in his mate-circle, even though they both call to him. Gina has other ideas and calls to Rowan and Zeke and even a Paradox Fae to help her escape the Alpha call I won’t tell you more as you really have to read it for yourself
I received an advanced copy and I willingly leave my honest review
I devoured this book entirely in one sitting. Okay, so maybe thats an exaggeration. I had to get up and use the restroom at some point and make some more iced coffee.
I love how all these worlds are colliding. So many characters that are interwoven into these different series coming together so smoothly. The world building and character development is fantastic. The growth and dedication is inspiring.
Book hangovers are going to happen. Just a little warning. That ending was just… give me book 2 worthy.
Need book 2!
I don’t know what to say except Wow. This story is definitely worth reading. Once you start you can’t stop you want more. I need book 2 like right now haha. So good!
I was already in love with the Elemental Fae Academy world created by J. R. Thorn and Lexi C. Foss. Now, delving deeper into that realm with this introduction to the dark world of the Fortune Fae, I am even more entranced. The characters in this book are wonderful, each with their own unique quirks and traits. The world is as intriguing as it is dangerous. And the story weaves and twists and turns with such adeptness that it’s impossible to put down. As for heat, there is something for everyone in this book – MM, MMF, MMMMF, etc. Read the trigger warnings in the publisher synopsis, and wait for book two if you don’t like cliffhangers!
ONE ACTION PACKED BLOCK BUSTER!!!
Haggling harpies! Thorn has this baby banging like a cheap screen door with this beautifully composed work of art, riding one thrilling storyline and gripping plot, wrapping this baby up sleek, shiny and tight. Shattering boundaries and dispensing limits, displaying the strengths and weaknesses being weighed and balanced, propelling this jewel on-ward without a hitch, slamming it into overdrive, launching it into a tailspin with a eye-opening realization. Surprising happenstance and unsettling mishaps, swirl with the formidable trials and challenging tribulations, spinning alongside the deadly twists and wicked turns, putting our characters through their paces, testing them in ways they could have never imagined. Dynamics and countenance in layer upon layer that you peel back with each page your drawn into this web so deep until everything else ceases to exist. Anarchy, escapades and mayhem rule the roost displaying the drama, turmoil, intrigue, secrets, soaring suspense and intense situations, along with a boatload of trouble, you have one intoxicating experience. The characters, banter, dialogue, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits, blend and flow, transforming into genuinely charismatic personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and depictions creating a colorful backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Amazing job Thorn, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.
I’m tempted to give this book zero stars just because of how horrible this author is for leaving the story at the point she did. How can I function, how will I ever sleep, what will I do until the next book is released?
This ends on the cruelest of cliff-hangers but even so it is 100% worth reading this book. I love Gina, Zeke and Rowan, I’m undecided on Axel and I currently loathe Seif with passion that borders on insanity. I started off with pity and sorrow for him, since the core of his quest was built on the very best of intentions, however his total disregard for anyone other than himself, his unrelenting pursuit and treatment of Axel and Gina, soon made me dislike him. A lot.
Then the hulking brute would do something nice, something that felt almost honorable, and my feelings would waver. Sadly he would then return to being that arrogant, self-centred, thoughtless posterior-hole that left me wanting to skewer him with a rusty fork. Until that man shows an inkling of empathy, emotion or care for someone other than himself he can rot in the blackest, most remote edges of the web for all I care. In fact that’s far too good a fate for him at the moment. There is a huge part of me that is kind of hoping Gina escapes him, though I’m sure by the end of the series I will have made a whole 180 flip on that and will adore the very ground Seif walks on. And won’t that just encourage the insufferable alpha.
God I love a book that makes me feel. And this had that in spades. It has sweet moments, angry moments, happy moments, anxious moments and despairing moments, all of which combined into an amazing must read story. Gina is so strong, so independent and so determined to avoid a dire fate. She is tough, resourceful and caring and you can’t help but love her. Zeke and Rowan are amazing and the perfect Beta’s for this Omega. The glimpses we got of Axel at the very beginning of the story did endear him to me, though his treatment of Rowan knocked that sideways. I need to see more of his pov in the next book to help me get a true feel for him.
The story is one roller coaster ride and it hurtled at break-neck speed from the very start of the book. It’s not even a quick read, and by the end I felt as though I’d been dragged through the mill, but in the best way possible. I will warn that this Gina and her mates don’t actually get to the Academy until almost the end of the book. There is one heck of a lot that happens before that point – and all of it is good. I may just have a slight book hangover from this unputdownable story!
I received an unedited ARC copy of this book for an honest review. The book, written by JR Thorn, is a spin-off Omegaverse style novel that follows an alternate realm/timeline that is related to the Elemental Fae series (co-written by JR Thorn and Lexi C. Foss) and the Midnight Fae series (written by Lexi C. Foss).
I have to admit it took me a bit to get into this book. The story follows the narratives of multiple characters POV. I’ve read other books with a similar set up but this one was just a little more difficult to grab my attention. Overall I think the storyline gets better as you get further into the book. I appreciated and liked the tie-ins to the related series too. Even though the story took some time to get into I would be willing to check out the next story in the series after the cliffhanger at the end. I’m definitely interested enough to see where this is going to go and how things all tie together with the related series I mentioned above.
Gina is running. Living on borrowed time. She is checking all possible futures, trying to find something, anything to not being forced to her destiny to start. She is running from her Alpha. She is hiding from her Betas. She is strong. And still, while running, she tried to help other faes. And Alpha is not exactly how we think he is, there is something deeper there. Axel is also unique, he make me doubt many things. And other two Betas having wonderful connection to Gina, but were broken to submit, however not to the Alpha but to Axel. It’s all so complicated. The plot and the world interesting. I read it out of breath and am definitely awaiting next part.
This is a fantastic read. I love the world building and how the characters are brought out. There are twists and turns. I definitely recommend this read. Shauna Joesten
fabulous book!!
Authors: one of the worlds greatest creations.
For an author to completely build another world inside their minds just absolutely blows me away! Like I can’t even function at times and here they are creating completely realistic but fantastical worlds.
Anyway, Fortune Fae. I really enjoyed it. I know this author has paired with another author to create this world but set in different academies and I am loving the contrast between “worlds.”
However, Fortune Fae for me is quite a slow burn and for the first couple of chapters felt that it was just a little too long before seeing any real action. But, that could be because there are so many POV’s. I did feel at times, a little muddled.
But nothing can take away from the fact that this really is a cracking book, filled with wonder. Highly recommend!
