From “the most popular mystery writer alive” (The New York Times), the twenty-seventh entry in the #1 New York Times bestselling series isn’t just the biggest case of Stephanie Plum’s career. It’s the adventure of a lifetime. When Stephanie’s beloved Grandma Mazur’s new husband died on their wedding night, the only thing he left her was a beat-up old easy chair…and the keys to a life-changing … chair…and the keys to a life-changing fortune.
But as Stephanie and Grandma Mazur search for Jimmy Rosolli’s treasure, they discover that they’re not the only ones on the hunt. Two dangerous enemies from the past stand in their way—along with a new adversary who’s even more formidable: Gabriela Rose, a dark-eyed beauty from Little Havana with a taste for designer clothes. She’s also a soldier of fortune, a gourmet cook, an expert in firearms and mixed martial arts—and someone who’s about to give Stephanie a real run for her money.
Stephanie may be in over her head, but she’s got two things that Gabriela doesn’t: an unbreakable bond with her family and a stubborn streak that will never let her quit.
She’ll need both to survive because this search for “fortune and glory” will turn into a desperate race against time with more on the line than ever before. Because even as she searches for the treasure and fights to protect her Grandma Mazur, her own deepest feelings will be tested—as Stephanie could finally be forced to choose between Joe Morelli and Ranger.

What a fun read, and a perfect escape from what’s going on the real world. I like Evanovich’s new characters, and the storyline with Grandma’s escapades continues. Add this one to your fall reading list.
This is exactly what I needed right now! Stephanie, Lula, Connie, Grandma and Mrs. Plum were the stars of this book and they were FANTASTIC!! I laughed so much and so hard I think I hurt myself. I’m not so sure about this new girl and I think I’m going to have to keep a eye on her. I can’t wait for the next book, but to tide me over I will just reread my old Plum books. I can read those things a hundred times and never get bored.
Unusual detective/bounty-hunter with romance, mystery ,funny. The kind of well=written book which can’t be put-down until you finish . The whole series is entertaining to read and enjoy
I have read all but the latest Stephanie Plum novels and I love and recommend them all! Very entertaining
What can I say besides, it is Stephanie. I love all her books! Stephanie and Ranger are such a cute couple!
Awesome as the previous books in the series
Awful
Just more of the same for Plum. It’s okay, but if you have read all her other books about Stephanie Plum, you can pretty much predict the story. I still enjoy.
Always a fun read.
Got bored. Same story line as all the other books. Smashed car, using the parents car, sucks at her job, Ranger has to bail her out of trouble, Morelli still sleeps with her. Same o same o
Another great Stephanie Plum book!
An escape fromlife for a few hours.
Janet Evanovich is an excellent author and you wouldn’t go wrong reading ANY of her books.
A little too silly for my tastes
Compared the other books in the series this one seemed lacking to me.
I haven’t read any recent Stephanie Plum books and not much, if anything, has changed. Good escapism.
Absolutely boring, it was a snooze fest.
Enjoyable Typical Stephanie book. Fun to read
I liked this book, not quite as good as some of her first writings. Still not so into the dual romantic thing but it’s okay. Like all her books with Grandma in them, very funny. I have read all her books.
After 27 Stephanie Plum stories, the characters are getting a bit stale. These stories always have interesting plot twists. Implausible? Usually. But that’s what makes them fun. But I’m getting tired of Lula. Morelli? Yeah, he’s fun and sometimes unpredictable. Ranger? Oh, yeah. M-m-m! Keep him around.
