I found my five Virtues… but they didn’t want to be found.Talk about reluctant. My five Virtues all need to be taught a lesson, even Kaito, my mentor who thinks he knows everything—FYI, he doesn’t.Hendrik, a dark mage who thinks he’s still pulling the strings.Logan, a wolf shifter who hasn’t caught on that I’m really his alpha.Dante, a brutal hunter who doesn’t realize he’s the one being hunted.… doesn’t realize he’s the one being hunted.
Orion, a playboy demigod who hates that all he wants now is me—and no one else. He’ll be the hardest of all to break.
The tables have turned and there’s a monster loose in Fortune Academy (hell yeah, that’s me, by the way). A year has passed on the outside, but it’s only been a few short weeks for supernaturals who are ramping up for Fortune Academy’s big exam. This is a test of our fortitude and our powers unlike any we’ve had before. The Third Echo of Calamity is on its way to Earth and I need to be ready for it, which means I am going to need my Virtues on my side.
I feel them in my soul and have never been more certain of anything in my life. I’ve called my Virtues to me, whether they are ready or not.
They are mine.
Fortune Academy: Year Two is the second book in an upper YA/NA paranormal academy series. The heat kicks up in this Bully Reverse Harem Romance where there are five guys and no choosing required!

Fortune Academy: Year Two by J.R. Thorn is an awesome story to read. This is book number two in this awesome series that I have loved reading and can not wait to read the next book in this awesome series. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about magic and shifters.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
I loved this book, I was hooked immediately and absolutely spellbound by the web of fantasy with a dark edge. The characters were compelling and impossible to resist, inviting me to sink into the story, which was fast paced and action packed. The narration by Vanessa was fantastic, I can’t wait for the next addictive instalment.
“It was as if I’d been nothing but an empty shell, and now I was learning how to breathe again.” – Lily Fallen
After reading book 1, I had no choice but to immediately read book 2, as it left me hooked to this world. To be fair, I was already a junkie, thanks to the ‘Seven Sins’ trilogy. This installment is no less addictive than any other Thorn books.. While many questions are answered, more arise so it remains shrouded in mystery.
There’s loads of drama with her virtues between Lily herself and them and one another as well, so this added to the fun quite a bit for me. Left me absolutely needing more and I’m off to get lost in the next book …
HIGHLY recommend this series.
Also recommend reading ‘Seven Sins’ and ‘The Vampire Curse’ trilogies first though.
5 addicted stars.
4 stars for Fortune Academy :Year Two by J.R. Thorn. This is book one in the Fortune Academy. “You chose your Virtues, not the universe. And if you can’t trust yourself, then you can’t trust anyone.” Lily has found her harem of hotties or Virtues as they are called. The problem is it doesn’t seem like they wanted to be found. You have Hendrick, an evil dark mage who seems to just be using Lily. Logan, who only wants Lily for himself, but only if he says so. Dante who I’m not sure can be trusted and has been missing for awhile. Orion who is nothing but a horny playboy. Then we have Kaito, her counselor, who brought her there but won’t share why with her. I am still not sure about these Virtues she has chosen. Lily isn’t sure who she can trust anymore. We do learn who and 2/3 of what Lily is. (Finally, Right) The story does end on a big cliffhanger and I cant wait to see what happens next.
Well things certainly took a turn in this story. We have learned so much throughout this book. Lily sure does grow in this one as well. It is beautifully written with twists and turns throughout it. The descriptions are radiant that they draw you in as if you are there. The characters personalities are superb and felt as well throughout the story. The story ends on a cliffhanger and I am excited to see where it goes.
Fortune Academy: Year Two is Book 2 in the Fortune Academy series by J.R. Thorn. This is a well written book with interesting characters. Lily is finally beginning to find out who and what she is. She has also discovered her Virtues (Kaito, Dante, Logan, Hendrik, and Orion). The characters are beginning to come into focus. There are many twists and turns that keep you turning pages to the end. Looking forward to Book 3 to see what J.R. Thorn has in store for Lily and her Virtues. Will Lily finally discover all the secrets being kept from her? This is an amazing series which I recommend. Received an ARC from the author and this is my voluntary and honest review.
This series just keeps getting better and better. Lils is one of my favorites. She’s not your typical anything. I’ve loved watching this character grow and changed throughout the Calamities. I can only imagine how epic the ending will be to this whole connecting series. Logan is beyond frustrating, I just had to put that out there.
ONE INTENSE MAGICAL JOURNEY!!!
Hell yeah! Thorn brought out the heavy artillery, tossing out every challenge, provocation, competition or proposition, bringing the heat and magic with this tough as nails jaw dropping bombshell. Satisfaction rocks this jewel, bringing it home with such intensity and precision, riding roughshod and delivering one block busting thrill ride. Sparks fly as drama, intrigue, distrust, turmoil, deceit, danger, mounting suspense and disastrous situations along with a boatload of secrets, makes for one mind-blowing adventure. Laying this baby out with all the wonder, ingenuity, imagination, expertise and intellect blasting this piece of perfection to life spectacularly. A roaring tempest full of baffling circumstances and unnerving events, blasts this baby into play front and center. The dynamics and presentation in layer upon layer that you peel back with each page your drawn into this web so deep until everything else ceases to exist. Anarchy, escapades and havoc run amuck, kicking this gem into a tempest, blasting it into a hissy with a mind blowing culmination. The characters are genuine and original with depth and qualities that transform into amazing personalities. The scenes are so vividly detailed it gives the illusion you were right there in the middle of ground zero with them. Remarkable job Thorn, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
Lily sure has a time trying to figure out what’s going on. Prophecy’s to decipher, Virtues to bond with, and bully’s to deal with are just some of it all. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough, the story is that enticing.
This series gets better and better. If you like reverse harem then you should love this one
So good! So many twists and turns…. magic galore. Can’t wait for the next book!
This series is great so far!
I am loving everything about this story! Never a dull moment. Fast paced and lots of surprises. It’s getting to be really good! I need more like right now haha. Looking forward to reading the next one when it comes out! Highly recommend this series you won’t be disappointed!
Lily has found her guys, but some want to stay hidden. Kaito was her first Virtue, but he’s still keeping secrets. Dante has been missing for a year Earth time. Logan is trying to out alpha her. Hendrik still thinks she’s a puppet. And Orion is having trouble with monogamy.
Wow the steam level in this series went from simmer to scorching in this book. You learn alot more about the characters in this book. There’s more detail, character interactions, and you even get violence in this book than in the previous book. It’s an absolutely amazing read and I highly recommend it to everyone.
Wow!! Talk about complicated family dynamics! Lily is still stumbling through Fortune Academy, but it’s hard to get a hold when EVERYONE is keeping secrets from her. Worse is many of these secrets are ABOUT her… So not cool!!! Slowly but surely she begins unraveling many of the layers of deception. She finally learns part of the major secret… Who and what she is. However I’m guessing this is the tip of a rather large iceberg. Join in the fun and games, and watch Lily and her Virtues as they bob and weave enemies toward the goal of saving everyone… And hopefully learn all that’s been kept from her.
Are you a lover of Academy reads and a fantastic fancy this is definitely a read I recommend. There are twists and turns as well as epic scenes. This Author has brought a fantastic read to fruition. And the Characters are brought out so well that it feels like you no the Characters. This is definitely a real page turner and a must read.

I definitely have mixed feelings about book 2. There were times I didnt necessarily like the characters…and how they are portrayed. Lily seemed a little whiny and bitchy throughout most of it. She seemed to get smart though towards the end. She selected these Virtues but everyone seems to be keeping things from her “for her protection” which honestly is hurting her more because she hasnt a clue. Not to mention her Virtues are all assholes and have their own agenda and using her. I think they all betrayed her in some way and thats just not cool. I think at this point my least favorite is Hendrick…he treats her like garbage. Such disrespect. One thing I can say about him is that he’s pretty much been honest with her…til the end. Lots of secrecy going around…she honestly can’t trust anyone not completely. Thats kinda sad. There’s a 3rd book coming out but not for awhile. So, unfortunately, there’s a bit of a wait to see what happens when she gets to hell. I just hope her character improves and she puts her big girl panties on and relies on herself instead of others because obviously she cant trust anyone but herself at this point.
4 out of 5 stars
Welcome to year two . Lily is trying to get her virtues to come to her but man those boys are stubborn, Orion the demigod is well he is just being arrogant and doesn’t want anything to do with her neither does Dante and Hendrik well they are trying to pull strings and run the other way . Then there is poor Logan a lone wolf how doesn’t want to be alpha and is trying hard not to mate with Lily . There is something nasty on the horizon and Lily needs her virtues to stand beside her not run away or try and control her. The third echo of Calamity is on its way and she needs all to be strong . It is time to take her virtues in and show them who the real boss is . Wish her luck
Well this story is way more intense then the first books . Lily is growing stronger with each passing day and she knows that there is something coming for her . She is growing more and more and we see her really start to come into her own . She is starting to realize that she needs each one and is so sorry that she has hurt them . The guys need to get over their pride and realize that Lily needs them as much as they need her . Logan the lone wolf is the one I love he is going through so much and I just want to hug him and let him know things will be ok . Orion well he is an arrogant demigod that is being brought to his knees by Lily and he pushes back so hard . Then there is Dante a hunter that well he just a sexy alpha who really needs to be brought down a peg or two . They are wonderful characters that are growing with each book,
Ok now this book was a good read . I will say right now there is a lot more sexual content in this book . The author takes us on a rollercoaster ride and trust me you will be sucked in by about the third chapter . I like that the author puts them into the action more in this book and there are a lot more sexy scenes also so this should be read by older teens . Cause there are a couple scenes that will melt your kindle . Lily and Orion for one . Oh Orion is so sexy and just reading him will have you blushing. There were a few things that just had me wondering , it seemed slow again at the beginning and then it was lots of sex and then the big fight. I wish the author kind of spread it out just a little more and tightened up a couple of chapters . Over all I truly enjoyed this book and can’t wait to see what happens in book three .
!0 stars , It’s never boring at Fortune Academy, with Mates/Virtues fighting their bonds with Lily, or finding out part of the truth about your parents, learning you are supposedly the Champion of the next Calamity and only in heaven and/or hell you will learn more. Plus fighting off “Mean Girl” Muse doesn’t make a girls day go better, Book two finds Lily connecting with more of her Mates, except for those who fight against it. Finding out out the truth about those around her and fighting off evil within herself and others. J.R. Thorn has written a book/series that tugs on the emotions of the reader bringing them into the story so you almost feel that your part of the story and not just reading it. You have no idea how excited I am that book 3 will be coming out soon (not soon enough for this reader)
Deviously delicious! The next thrilling installment in this entertaining series. I enjoyed learning more about the characters and uncovering more about the prophecy and who/what exactly the characters are.
