This is the final book in the Mosaic Chronicles. It takes you back to Nicole in her high school years and is a prequel to the Koven Chronicles. I really enjoyed reading this book. Normally I don’t get as much time to read as I would like, but I made time for this! I had already read the Koven Chronicles and really loved Nicole’s story with the hounds.
I loved getting to know Nicole and Lizzie at the beginning. This prequel to the Mosaic Chronicles was perfect in giving teasers and information to guide me into the M C and Lizzie’s series. Kissing and snuggling are the most PDAs in this book and with no swearing, made this book perfect. A great read for teens and adults alike, this book has tons of adventure and the lengths to which a best friend will go to save one she loves.
The Mosaic Chronicles might have been over, but this absolutely fantastic story tells about Nicole in her early years. Unfortunately she won’t be able to remember anything about this very important period in her life.
She is to get an amulet for her best friend Lizzie. It will protect her from hounds that will kill her now if they get her scent. In later life, she is the one who will kill these immortal hounds. Why does she do this? There is a prophecy and she is the one destined to fulfill it. She learns many things about herself and what she will become.
The story is so interesting and chuck full of magic and Arete power that it feels like your reading “chocolate”, that is how good the story is. Also, it can be read and enjoyed by any age group.
Excellent book! This story turns out to be a great prequel to both the Mosaic Chronicles and the Koven Chronicles. I really enjoy how Ms Pearson sets up magic parameters and then sticks to them. This is a must-read! *I received a free eBook copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Quite an imaginative story!
This is the beginning when Nichole is still in high school. Two months after Nichole’s eighteenth birthday most Arete would already have come into their powers. Her parents threw a birthday ball for her and then everything suddenly started going crazy for her. She gets thrown in jail for murder, meets a shapeshifter dog/man, has to travel to the UK to find an effigy in a creepy old mansion to save her friend’s life, fly back home, fight evil hounds, fly to Germany to get help from a special magician, try to sleep in between all this, etc., etc. Phew! And that’s not all! All I can say is Andrea Pearson has quite an imagination and talent for thinking these things up. This story is very well written. Her characters are well fleshed out and the scenery is well described. The action she depicts can be envisioned clearly. I really enjoyed reading this story and highly recommend it to all young adults and those young at heart.
I found this be be a very exciting book to read with some twists in it that makes the reader give pause as to the motives others may have.
Nicole is on a journey to save her best friend from forces who want her friend dead. She enlists the aid of a classmate to help her but on the journey she starts to question his motives.
She is also aided by others who possess magical abilities and the forces of good and evil clash in the exciting climax to this story. It sets the stage for the future adventures these girls will have.
HOT ON YOUR TRAIL!!!
Good my god, it just keeps getting better with every word. This is an amazingly written story with so much underneath the surface. You think you know every thing, then the rug is jerk from under your feet. Flat if your back and not knowing who to trust or even if you can trust anyone. I love this series Andrea just keeps bringing it. You are so awesome.
