I really loved Protectors of Poison. Yes, it is a quick read but it is definitely good. It has some mystery, suspense, drama, and romance. It is extremely well written and the characters are beautifully developed. I loved Sera and Sed together. They have great chemistry and personalities. The story is different with the Egyptian Gods and how they would be in today’s society. It made a very unique story. I would have loved it to be longer just because I would have loved to read more about Sera and Sed. But, the shorter story doesn’t leave you feel like you are missing something. It was definitely worth reading and doesn’t disappoint.
Priestess of Truth
This is an extremely short but sweet story. It is kind of like an interlude but yet packs so much into the couple of chapters. It shows never hide from love.
Daughter of The Sun
This is so very interesting. We get to see what is going on in so much more detail. It is extremely well written and has beautifully developed characters. I love that the Egyptian Gods are so deep into this story almost as if they are regular everyday people. It is a fantastic story that is definitely worth reading.
Servant of Chaos
What a story. I loved Rhodopis and her personality. She is sweet and caring even when looking out for herself. There is a bit of action and suspense in it. The story is well written and the support characters are beautifully developed. I loved the box set as you can move from one story to the next. These are definitely worth reading and do not disappoint.

The author weaved really enjoyable stories that features Egyptian mythology. Take the adventure that features the God and Godess as their stories are told. The stories written will take away for awhile. You have stories featuring Sekhmet, Serket and others that are included. You will also be reading about a story featuring Rhodopis, which is loosed based on the legend.
I enjoyed the stories in the set, loved the story the author wrote for each of them.

This is one of my favorite series from the author, partly because I love Egyptian mythology, and these books are all based off of Egyptian myths. It is hard to say which would be my favorite, as I loved them all. They are all standalone, and each have a touch of romance and the author’s own twist on an old myth regarding the various gods and goddesses. The books are fairly short, but not so short as to take away getting to know the characters well enough. They also do not have to be read in order.
These stories are all interesting with fun romances. The only real disappointment is that the build-up of a conflict between gods was left unresolved. I’m hoping that the new series in this universe coming out in May will cover that.

This set includes the 4 books in this series. The titles are: Protectors of Poison, Priestess of Truth, Daughter of the Sun, and Servant of Chaos. Below is a review of one of them to give you an idea of what’s included.
*** Reviewing “PRIESTESS OF TRUTH” ***
Demi-goddess and Priestess Edrice was not looking for a soulmate when she went to the travelling fair based on the excited tales of the other priestesses of the Egyptian goddess Ma’at, goddess of truth, justice, harmony, and balance. The fun and excitement drew them all in. With this being her first time ever to such a fair, Edrice decides to visit a tarot reader and walks right into the hard chest of a man. They recognized each other from the temple, but didn’t exchange names and just walked on after apologizing.
The tarot reader lays out the cards and, strangely, Edrice feels the truth of them although she doesn’t know what they meant. The reader gives her a reading about finding her soulmate, whom she has already met because both of them work at the temple, and he will have been born under the sign of the lion, a Leo. In truth the man serves Maahes, the Egyptian lion-headed god of war, meaning he was probably a lion demi-god. He is a leader, and with Edrice being a Libra, she brings balance which he needs in his role, offering stability and support. The reader feels Edrice will come to accept him in a place surrounded by water, and their love will be eternal, filled with children and family. As a demi-goddess, Edrice could determine truth or lies – and the reader was telling her the truth!
Sometime later, the goddess Ma’at asks Edrice for a favor, an offering to the Nile for a good year ahead. Other priests were making offerings as well, and Edrice sees Menefer, a high priest of Maahes. This was the man the tarot reader told her about, the amazing man she ran into at the fair! Making offerings to the Nile put them both near the water! Can she trust that this is her soulmate? That he is the one for her for eternity?
This was a great prequel to pull the reader in, looking for more, as a prequel is supposed to do! The story line was brief, but it shows the reader there is more depth to come in this series. With this collection, you have it all!
