A really good read. Continuity was maintained between the various books. Very entertaining!
Great series!
Multiple book, but really only one fairly long story, starting with a rape 15 year before that victim never disclosed, but that her biological father learned of the night before the rapist’s ostensible suicide on a remote Florida that the rape victim, by then a police officer in a small town, was dispatched to investigate. After several additional deaths, some murder, some self-defense shootings, all is revealed, except to the victim. Has it been one book, repeated stage-setting and descriptions would have been unnecessary. .
I could not put these books down, the chacters were belivable, the action never stopped.
I love these books, can’t wait for the next ones. Great characters, totally believable. I love the area too, having lived in Florida for 30-some years. Very interesting sub-story. Please keep writing them, Ms. McKenna. Thanks.
Made me get the rest of them to complete series
Looking forward to more from this author
Although the plot was very melodramatic at times and attention to detail was lacking in places (.45 caliber Glock 23 for example), the series was very enjoyable to read. Book 4 was overly drawn out as an epic survival-against-all-odds tale, the entire book was about nothing but enduring a hurricane AND a murderous man set on revenge.
Quirky characters, amusing word play and descriptive narration combined to make the series very an enjoyable read.
I have read the entire Forgotten Coast series and I loved it! Great story, wonderful characters, and perfect humor. I can’t wait for another one to come out. I highly recommend this series.
I enjoyed it very much I have not read the others yet

Intelligent writing portraying real characters in engrossing mysteries
What more could one ask of a story. I read all of the books in this series pretty much non-stop. Highly recommend.
Great books, love the series.
An enjoyable read especially if you have spent some time on the Gulf Coast!
I read the entire series. When I finished the first book, I was anxious for the second. The characters seemed to come to life on the page. The plot drew you in and then change direction. The lieutenant and the sherif had a humurous relationship even when dealing with serious subjects.
As a Florida resident, loved the images and character s.
I found this book set to be entertaining, with great characters. The books are easy to follow, and will keep you guessing to the end.
