Book 1: Low Tide In the quaint coastal town of Apalachicola, sinister things are afoot, as sinister things tend to be.

When Gregory’s uncle, Bennett Boudreaux, the richest and scariest man in town, takes a sudden interest in Maggie, people start to wonder, Maggie included. Maggie knows he may suspect her of killing his nephew, but she finds herself slowly drawn to the man.
As Maggie fights to help a young girl escape the clutches of a volatile drug dealer who’d love to see Maggie dead, she also struggles to hide her dark link to a dead man, and her burgeoning relationship with her boss, Sheriff Wyatt Hamilton.
Unfortunately, secrets have a way of revealing themselves at low tide.
Book 2: Riptide Once again, sinister things are afoot in Apalachicola, FL, and one of them is an actual foot.
When a local fisherman finds a severed limb in his net, it sets off a chain of events that no one can anticipate
Lt. Maggie Redmond soon discovers that the foot belongs to the friend of another recently dead guy, Gregory Boudreaux, the man she never told anyone about. Gregory’s death was thought to be a suicide. That seems less likely, now that his best friend Sport’s foot has shown up out of the blue, as it were
When it starts looking like town villain Bennett Boudreaux might be responsible for eliminating Sport, things begin to get a little weird. Especially since Maggie’s started to take a liking to Bennett. She’s also taken a real liking to her boss, Sheriff Wyatt Hamilton, but her growing friendship to Bennett and her secret connection to the dead men threaten her and Wyatt’s relationship.
Is Bennett avenging Maggie for some reason, or does he have something altogether different on his mind?
Book 3: What Washes Up Karma’s alive and well in Apalachicola, Florida, and there are several people who are about to meet it face to face.
When more than a dozen bodies wash up on the beach of St. George Island, the residents of Apalach are outraged, and none more so than investigator Maggie Redmond and Sheriff Wyatt Hamilton. It’s time for the greedy to answer for the lives of innocents.
Meanwhile, a man is found tied to a burning boat in the middle of the bay, and Maggie’s instincts tell her Bennett Boudreaux is behind it.
If he is, Maggie has to decide whether she really wants him punished, or if justice has already been served.
Book 4: Landfall Two storms that nobody thought were coming just made landfall.
As a hurricane gathers its power just off Apalachicola’s shore, another storm comes to a head in Lt. Maggie Redmond’s home.
Held prisoner by a man bent on avenging the death of a son, Maggie must find a way to save herself and her two children. No one knows where they are. No one is coming to help.
Maggie and her children will have to find a way to survive both the madness inside their home and the madness raging outside.

Enjoyed the series. Good story line.
Good story line. nice twists.
Characters were well developed and engaging. Language effectively developed personalities and setting. Physical stamina was a little far fetched, but hey, it’s fiction. It is billed as 4 books, but they won’t stand individually. That makes the book quite long, and the repetition of key elements in each new “book” makes it even longer. I do prefer shorter books.
Enjoyed, liked how one book lead to the next. Good character build. Nice look at old florida
Good read.
I enjoyed the author very much and will look forward to reading more of her books. The plots were realistic in their depictions of life in a small rural community. Does a great job of handling the dichotomy that exists in real life in some bad people. They are not all normally evil, wicked people. They sometimes do show kindness to those they may care for. This part of the plot and character development was very well done . I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Great location !
I’m in book 7. Can’t wait to read 8.
Think I have a new favorite author. Loved the characters in this book- I might have a crush on the sheriff. Enjoyed the humor- laughed out loud numerous times. Great series.
Grew up in area. Moved away but still love it and author realistically portrayal of people and scenery made it a great read.
Great writing. The book kept my attention and I couldn’t wait to start the next book. Thank you for introducing me to a new author!
Excellent character development throughout, with additional, well-developed twists and turns in the blink of an eye. Subtle, but intelligent humor laced among this author’s well written work.
Dawn Lee McKenna has done a great job of creating characters that we care about and placing them in a setting that we begin to know as well as she does. Although the books are stand-alone novels, they are best read in order as a series since each builds on the events of its predecessor.
Although a mystery, they make me smile with quirky animals and people.
I really enjoyed these books.I love to read,at times it’s hard to find a good book.I read at least a book a day sometimes two.Due to health problems books are my go to.My kindle and online books are like a dream come true.Buying books years ago was costly and the library couldn’t stock as fast as I read.I have found new authors that I never would have read their books or heard of.So for me it’s a win win.I believe it is for some new and old authors as well. Not all books are great but there are many good ones.Like these I really enjoyed them in fact this was my second time to read these books, the characters are really good and the story is very well brought to life for me anyway. So good job, keep on writing, can’t wait for another new book. Thanks for sharing your books with us.
I couldn’t put it down. I usually don’t read all the books in a “pack” like this one at one time – I usually need a bit of a breather between the books. But this one – I couldn’t put it down. I inhaled all four of them as quickly as possible.
Love Maggie, both a police officer and mom.
Love the whole “Forgotten Coast” series! I have read all the books and hope she writes a new one. The stories are great, but the best thing about this series is the characters!
Entertaining but repetitive.
I am going to find the next series by this author.
