She’s the one who got away. He’s the boy she can’t forget… CherylThey say you never forget your first love, but I’m determined to prove Keven Kennedy is just a random boy from my past. It’s not like I still think about him after all this time. Or daydream about how hot his kisses were and what it felt like to have his hands on my skin.Nope, that’s not me. I’m in a happy place in my life. Engaged … skin.
Nope, that’s not me. I’m in a happy place in my life. Engaged to a great man and finishing the last year of my photography degree.
But since I returned to Massachusetts, everything reminds me of the boy who ripped my heart to shreds. Especially when my fiancé’s constant business trips, and dwindling attention, raises old fears to the surface.
And then the unthinkable happens—Keven saunters back into my life, turning it upside down once more.
It’s ironic he thinks he’s protecting me when the only one I need protecting from is him.
Keven
They say you never forget your first love. In my case, it’s true. Most everyone in high school thought Cheryl and I were a match made in heaven and that nothing could tear us apart. Until I messed up spectacularly and lost the best thing to ever happen to me.
Years have passed, girls have come and gone, but no one has laid claim to my heart in the way Cheryl did.
I thought she was lost to me forever when an unexpected encounter with an uptight FBI agent, and an intriguing proposition, brings the beautiful blonde back into my life.
I didn’t hesitate to sign on the dotted line.
I let Cheryl down once before. I’m not going to fail her this time.
Forgiving Keven is a STANDALONE new adult romance in the Kennedy Boys world. No cliff-hanger, no cheating, and a guaranteed HEA.more
Keven and Cheryl had a history – a painful one that is. But it didn’t stop Keven from going through everything to protect the girl he loved (loves) after all these years.A chance encounter brought them back to each other’s lives, and despite the fact that Cheryl is engage, and Keven has his own troubles to sort – it didn’t stop the inevitable.
One thing about his novel is that you can already feel that their love didn’t dwindle over time. It simply fell asleep and when it finally came to surface, it was stronger than ever, and initially, Cheryl didn’t know how to handle it. Especially, with her being engage, and the man that she promised herself to is doing something that she wasn’t sure about.
More than just a second-chance romance, I like the thrilling part of the story. The suspense of what’s going to happen next – are they going to catch the bad guy or will the bad guy get to them first. That got me on the edge of my seat. The romance was great, a little too sweet and cheesy at times, but hey – who isn’t when they’re in love.
Forgiving Keven is the seventh book in The Kennedy Boys series, a standalone, and it’s the first book in this series I’ve read. This is Keven’s story, a second chance and suspense romance, and Cheryl, his high school love and best friend; the girl that got away. The Kennedy brothers make an appearance in the story and it was easy to find out who’s who and luckily for the new readers of this series, we can go back and read their stories. The story is gripping, moving briskly and had me glued to my seat, rooting for the good guy to win. Since this is a HEA, that was a no brainer!
Keven Kennedy has been forced to work with the FBI, due to an incident that could’ve landed him in federal prison. The skilled, young hacker didn’t really have to think about it very much, after finding out who the FBI was investigating and seeing his ex-girlfriend, Cheryl, was innocently involved, he knew he had to be on the case. Keven knew how deeply he’d hurt her, buy he thought enough time had gone by and maybe she would give him a chance to explain his side of the story. But Cheryl had no intentions of letting him explain, or let him back into her life.
“He betrayed me in the worst possible way, and he shattered my faith in men. And I can’t even forgive him, because he tarnished every good memory of us, he left me heartbroken and bitter, and, worst of all, he stole part of my heart and soul. Parts I’ll never get back because he still has them, he still owns them, he always will, and I fucking hate him for that.”
Cheryl Keeland was back in Massachusetts, to attend school; she’d left years ago after Keven Kennedy had broken her heart. They’d made plans for the future until he’d destroyed it all, by betraying her. She’d never been able to forgive him and had no desire to ever see him, it would be too painful. Her boyfriend Dan had proposed to her and recently bought a house for them, one that was huge and ostentatious and not something she would have picked out. For a new lawyer, he spent money too freely, something that worried her. But she had school, and now plans for the wedding, to worry about. Until suddenly Keven steps back into her life and throws another wrench into it.
“You’re part of my past, and you don’t belong in my present or future. I’m sorry that’s blunt, but that’s the way it is.”
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
Siobhan dosent disppoint in kevens story and I have waited a long time to read his story and she did a wonderful job full of action and drama loved it
Siobhan Davis releases another OUTSTANDING romance with the second chance romance, Forgiving Keven. As a newer Siobhan Davis reader, I haven’t read the previous books in the series, but I can tell you that I absolutely loved this one! Siobhan has a way of writing that sexy, sweet, angsty and amazing—I literally wish I could start from her first book and binge read everything she’s written because I am in aw of her stories.
Forgiving Keven is different from the previous books I have had the please of reading by Siobhan. While its all the things I already associate with her writing, its also got a great suspense element that added true intrigue to the story. I never want to put down her books and Forgiving Keven was no different. As a second chance romance, the characters have a heartbreaking history that unfolds as we read. Forgiving Keven will certainly leave other readers in need of a cold shower—but that’s not surprises to me as I have read other books by this author. I was a little surprised by the slow burn factor but appreciated it greatly because the emotions inherent in a second chance romance heighten the experience. I loved the character development in this story and while it is a part of a series, I was able to read it without having any problems with the context or history. It’s a perfect standalone within a series. It definitely left me wanting to see more of this family in the end! Forgiving Keven is one book that you don’t want to miss this week. Get your hands on it now and fall in-love with Siobhan Davis’s latest romance.
Keven Kennedy and Cheryl Keeland met in high school and quickly fell in love. Everything seemed perfect and they had everything planned for their future together. Until Keven did the unthinkable and Cheryl left town with her family and a broken heart.
Years later, Cheryl is back in town and she’s engaged. Despite his casual hookups, Keven never stopped loving her. When Keven has the opportunity to return to Cheryl’s life, he takes it, even if he’s working with the FBI. But can he really explain what happened years ago? Can Cheryl forgive him? Can Keven protect Cheryl from the danger she’s unknowingly facing?
This angsty second chance romance took me in an incredible journey and I loved every single moment of it! Forgiving Keven is filled with drama, action, twists, surprises, laughter and sexy scenes. I loved the chemistry between Cheryl and Keven and the appearance of the whole Kennedy gang.
Keven is a sweet man that made several bad choices in the past. Now, he’s working with the FBI to pay for his mistakes and he’s also trying to win Cheryl back. I love how loyal he is to his family and friends, always doing everything he can for them. I also loved that he never gave up on Cheryl and their love.
Cheryl is a kind but strong and determined woman. She always loved Keven, but he broke her heart. When he returns to her life, she tries to fight her feelings but it’s impossible. I loved how she always tried to help others.
Another amazing book by Siobhan Davis and another great addition to the The Kennedy Boys series. I can’t wait to read about the triplets!
One mistake can change everything, ruin everything. I can be the end of true love and happily ever after. Keven Kennedy knows this. He made an unforgivable mistake in high school and lost the love of his life. Now, circumstances have brought her back into his life. But she’s engaged to another man. A man Keven knows is bad, dangerous. He’s determined to get his girl back and keep her safe. He nearly destroyed them both once before, now he will save them!
I love returning to the Kennedy clan and this book has them all in full force. So much chaos, so much love. They are all solidly behind Keven and ready to embrace his high school girlfriend Cheryl once again. This is more than a simple love story. It’s a reunion, the realization of what should have been. Love is never completely lost if we are willing to forgive and brave enough to reach for what we want. Keven and Cheryl are proof. This story also continues the storyline started with Eva’s tale. There’s suspense, danger, twists and turns.
Keven rivals Kyler in the romance department. Both boys start off shaky but as they mature, they become incredible men. His body is sexy, his brain is even sexier. Keven messed up, he lost Cheryl in his youth. Now as a man, he’s open, honest, clear about his feelings. His words, his actions make me swoon. The ways he shows Cheryl that he loves her and will be beside her are perfect, his words even more so. The way he bares his feelings to her time and time again, showing his vulnerability, proclaiming his heart, risking everything is the substance of my dreams. He gives her his all. Cheryl isn’t quite as perfect. She reacts immaturely at times. It’s hard to judge her since she was so hurt by Keven in their earlier relationship but it’s still frustrating. I loved her because Keven did and there’s no denying that their sexual chemistry is off the charts. Ultimately, they are meant to be.
The epilogue killed me. Talk about making me want more. The triplets’ stories may be the most explosive of all. Can’t wait!
Everything Siobhan Davis rights is amazing and this is no exception. Keven has never gotten over his 1st love when suddenly he is given the opportunity to not only protect her but maybe get her back in the process. Cheryl has tried to move on with her life and only realizes when Keven approaches her how much she has truly missed him. The question is what will they have to do to be together. Cheryl is engaged to man who is not what he seems at all. Catching him so they are able to live their life as they please will be tricky but worth it in the end.
This book is full of suspense, action, love and heartbreak. Keven is willing to do whatever it takes to win Cheryl back and prove he has never stopped loving her. I loved the story and both of the characters. I like how Keven is willing to go out of his comfort zone to win Cheryl’s heart. Great Story!!
I’ve been a fan of Siobhan Davis eversince I discovered here last year and eversince my first ARC. She was such an unexpected rare gem.
To be honest I haven’t read all of her books but the ones I’ve read, were awesome.
I haven’t read the entire series and I’ve only ever read this one but I’m definitely going to rectify that in the near future.
This is a story about second chances and redemption…. that love will definitely conquer all if you put your mind and heart into it…
Keven and Cheryl were high-school sweethearts, then something happened and they broke up… their journey isn’t perfect… it was full of angst and doubt. And it’s difficult to be together if the trust isn’t there and there is no acceptance…
The characters were relatable except for the FBI part, lol… the pacing was great. It isn’t fast-paced but I wish Cheryl made Keven work for it more… What happened to them in the past… why they broke up… would probably hang in my head forever no matter… something like that would require me to have selective amnesia.
If you’re a fan of a sweet, second-chance love story that has a dash of action into it, then this one is for you.
In this seventh installment of the Kennedy Boys series, we finally get Keven’s story. Keven and Kaden are the Kennedy boys we know the least because when the stories started to unfold, they were away at University, so they were not present much. They felt somewhat mysterious to me. As the books progressed we see a little more of them, until the issue of their biological father explodes. Keven went into a downward spiral that took him into a dark place and into making bad choices. These bad choices in turn led into a betrayal to his high school sweetheart, Cheryl. Two things happen: Cheryl leaves town and breaks both their hearts and Keven gets shanghaied into working for the FBI or get arrested for his computer hacking.
Years later Cheryl returns to town, engaged to a guy suspected of leading the underworld in Chelsea. This is tied to the mob bosses that appeared in Kaden’s and Eva’s story. This guy is taking over the territory that Garcia was controlling. Keven is tasked with searching for any and all information that could lead to the arrest of Daniel Stanten, Cheryl’s fiancee. Keven had a hidden agenda to get close to Cheryl and convince her to give them a second chance.
Different from previous Kennedy Boys stories, this one doesn’t have a lot of drama and plot twists. And what it lacks in drama, it makes up for in suspense. I felt the suspense of the story very early in the book and it kept increasing as the story unfolds. This book should have come with the warning: hazardous to your nails, because I kept biting my nails as I read. With the assistance of Kaden and Eva, Keven and Cheryl navigate the world of gangsters and FBI agents and also negotiate their second chance. They were high school sweethearts but they were also soul mates. Not even the distance and time and bad memories could erase the intense feelings they had for each other. The devotion and chemistry were still present and strong. As always, the full Kennedy family is present, including the ever salacious Kent Kennedy. I totally enjoyed this story and am looking forward to the triplets stories. I can’t imagine how the author is going to reform Kent, he seems irredeemable. Can’t wait!
Keven is always there for everyone in his life almost to the point of obsessively. The brothers always have each other’s backs and family is everything. On top of the suspense, a fast paced, action packed storyline and Keven and Cheryl’s hot and steamy chemistry, the family closeness adds a dimension to the books that not many series have. I read eagerly without stopping to make sure that I didn’t miss anything and that Keven and Cheryl got their HEA.
The Kennedy Boys are like a guilty pleasure read for me. Forgiving Keven is the seventh book in this series, but can be read as a standalone. However, I highly, highly recommend reading them, in all order to get the true feel and understanding why I love those boys so much.
Keven was my second fave Kennedy and was so excited to read his story. While I know that Siobhan was trying to make this book more suspenseful and thrilling, it felt more dramatized than anything. And that’s not a bad thing, but I was hoping for a bit more suspense/thriller with the plot on this one. It’s more a personal preference and not the fault of Siobhan’s.
Keven has always been the brother who has helped bail everyone out of their problems and protects them all. Until his hacking days come to halt and he’s led away by the FBI.
Cheryl was the one he let get away when they were younger and has never truly been able to get over her. SHe’s moved on and is now engaged to another man.
And that is all I am saying on that point. Siobhan delivers a great plot and the chemistry between Keven and Cheryl has obviously never diminished. As with all Kennedy books, the family is never too far behind and we get to catch up on them and enjoy a few nice family gatherings.
Overall, while it may not be my favorite Kennedy book (regardless that Keven is my second fave Kennedy), it’s still a very entertaining read. Anyone who reads this book, will be sucked into the story and anxious to know how things turn out.
I am looking forward to the triplets books as these three are definitely going to be the hardest to tame out of the Kennedy’s.
Keven has always been the most secretive Kennedy boy, well man. It was great to delve deeper into his character, past, and life. I love how much this book ties into Kade’s story and the development of Cheryl and Keven’s relationship throughout the story. It wasn’t my most favorite Kennedy book, but it left me wanting more of the Kennedy’s.
No spoilers of any kind included.
This book was awesome but then again every just about every book that I’ve read by Siobhan Davis has been fantastic!
I love the way that she weaves her stories, because they just reach out and grab you and won’t release you until you get to the end of the stories.
So yes I am definitely going to recommend this book to anyone who’s interested in crawling into this book and getting completely lost within its pages!
I voluntarily reviewed an a complimentary advance copy of this book.
These boys! I don’t know what to do with them! I know they’re fictional but Siobhan does such a phenomenal job writing them that it feels as if these boys are real. Forgiving Keven is no different. The story captivates you and draws you back into the Kenned world. It ties up some loose ends from the previous Kennedy book, which I love when there is a bit of a crossover. Keven is definitely swoon worthy (but honestly each and every brother so far is) and Cheryl is beautiful, smart, naive (but gets her head outta her rear eventually) and your all around nice person. You root for them, cry with them, and get angry for them. Grab yourself a copy of Forgiving Keven. You will not be disappointed!

There are 7 Kennedys’ brothers plus Brad (let’s call him an adopted eigth Kennedy :)). Each of them is unique. Some of them I like a lot, some – not so much (e.g., Kent, however, I cannot wait to read his story).
Keven was always a mystery for me. He was more absent in the rest of books than others (at least Saving Brad and the Irish Getaway showed his good qualities and I could see him as a real person). I did not know what to expect from his story. What was the reason why he was mostly alone, without at least something girfriend-like? This book finally solved the mystery and I got my story, actually, Keven’s story…
Books from the Kennedys’ series are the ones I always wait for with agreat anticipation as Siobhan Davis twists the story in each of them so well that one can never guess what the book will be about. This time (if you read it as a standalone), you will definitely guess only what is kept in Cheryl’s husband’s barn, the rest is unknown. I would like to recommend to read the whole series in the right order to understand the story better (especially Seducing Kaden).
So.. let’s get to the core – Keven’s story… Although, I love most of the Kennedys’ books, this one is not my favourite. I do not know the true reason, but I suppose that I still could not connect with Keven and Cheryl. First, I did not like Cheryl as the heroine and, second, sometimes Keven felt a bit emotionless, sometimes childish (work related) and sometimes too emotional for such emotionless guy. This is not my favourite Siobhan Davis’ books, but it was still a very good and interesting story.
The best part – KEANU story at the end. cannot wait… cannot wait to get it in my hands!!
I received an ARC copy from the author’s team. The expressed opinion is my own.
Forgiving Keven
Keven and Cheryl have history. However, from forgiveness does not come easily for any one. So, naturally it doesn’t to these two either. The Kennedy brothers definitely are still smoking hot and Siobhan Davis does not disappoint. Can’t wait to see what is next for the Kennedy brothers!
I LOVE Siobhan’s world that she has created and the 7th book in this series was no different from my previous loves!
At the end of the 6th book, I knew that Keven’s story was going to be next and that it was going to be a wild ride. I love the suspense and mystery (hello FBI world!) that surrounds the book, but what I loved the most was the second chance romance. Don’t get me wrong, these two go through some crazy stuff, their love at the end prevailed. It was a lot read through to get there, but I was so happy to have read through it all to get my HEA.
I was glad to start my year off with a little thriller, lots of drama and of course some steamy scenes that Davis is known to bring to the table. If you haven’t read the other books in the series, I don’t think they are imperative to read, but they do give a good back story and would recommend giving those a read before this one.
I loved how well developed her characters are, how their plots are woven throughout each book. I can’t believe how far this series has come, but I can’t wait to see where else this series goes!
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
I have been following this series from the beginning and I can’t stop reading them all! All of the books are full of suspense and twists, but this one takes the cake. I found myself biting my nails the whole time.
I loved Cheryl and I am glad I got to follow her POV to know what she was going through. There were times I wanted to shake her, but I understand why she does certain things and it made me like her even more. She was a true, real character, not one of those characters that are very unbelievable.
Of course I loved Keven already. I found myself drawn to him from early on in this series and wanting to know more about him. Naturally I was so excited to get my hands on this book and finally get him into my system! Everything about him drew me in and I found myself adding him to my book boyfriend list.
This book is packed full of so many emotions. Love, anger, fear, suspense, anxiety, turmoil, loss, and family love. I am sure there are more that I just can’t seem to put into words. The pages will fly by as you devour it, you won’t be able to put it down. The characters go through so much that you have to know what happens next. The author truly has a gift for making sure you are sucked in from the very first page and not able to let it go even after the book is finished. I know I will be in a book hangover and possibly have to re-read this one right away!
5 KEVEN STARS!! Wow, Keven is EVERYTHING….the readers look for in a hero. This man is sexy, hot, strong, confident and loving. Kevin and Cheryl’s story is a second chance romance that will keep you on your toes. There are so many twist and turns with lots of sexy times, I could not put this book down. I loved this book and I know you will too, make sure to 1-Click this book.
This is Kev and Cheryl’s story. And another winner from this fabulous author. Loved, loved, loved it from start to finish. Cheryl and Keven were lovers when they were young but then she disappeared. Now she appears once again in Keven’s life but at what cost? It was great to catch up with all the other characters, and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next one. A most definite five-star read for me.
