She’s the one who got away. He’s the boy she can’t forget… CherylThey say you never forget your first love, but I’m determined to prove Keven Kennedy is just a random boy from my past. It’s not like I still think about him after all this time. Or daydream about how hot his kisses were and what it felt like to have his hands on my skin.Nope, that’s not me. I’m in a happy place in my life. Engaged … skin.
Nope, that’s not me. I’m in a happy place in my life. Engaged to a great man and finishing the last year of my photography degree.
But since I returned to Massachusetts, everything reminds me of the boy who ripped my heart to shreds. Especially when my fiancé’s constant business trips, and dwindling attention, raises old fears to the surface.
And then the unthinkable happens—Keven saunters back into my life, turning it upside down once more.
It’s ironic he thinks he’s protecting me when the only one I need protecting from is him.
Keven
They say you never forget your first love. In my case, it’s true. Most everyone in high school thought Cheryl and I were a match made in heaven and that nothing could tear us apart. Until I messed up spectacularly and lost the best thing to ever happen to me.
Years have passed, girls have come and gone, but no one has laid claim to my heart in the way Cheryl did.
I thought she was lost to me forever when an unexpected encounter with an uptight FBI agent, and an intriguing proposition, brings the beautiful blonde back into my life.
I didn’t hesitate to sign on the dotted line.
I let Cheryl down once before. I’m not going to fail her this time.
Forgiving Keven is a STANDALONE new adult romance in the Kennedy Boys world. No cliff-hanger, no cheating, and a guaranteed HEA.more
I think Keven has deffinitely become my 2nd favorite Kennedy Boy! Forgiving Keven is a second chance romance that had me hooked from the beginning. Siobhan, as always, knows how to weave a thrilling adventure!
Keven is so dreamy, sweet, and a fierce protector. You can’t help but fall in love with him. Cheryl is one lucky woman! I loved the storyline, full of excitement, suspense, and laughter. Cheryl is great and even though I wanted to help guide her at times, she proved to be an amazing heroine like all characters Siobhan creates.
As always, I love having my favorite characters make appearances! A great story to add to my collection! You won’t want to miss this amazing piece of work
I really enjoyed reading this book. Keven and Cheryl parted ways after an incident in high school that shattered the trust in their relationship. When he risks takes on a new job to help him keep tabs on Cheryl and protect her from any potential harm, danger looms around them both. If you’re ready for a steamy romance that contains elements of danger and illegal activity, this book fits the bill. It contains many characters from other novels in The Kennedy Boys series, but can be read as a standalone in this set.
I did not think that a Davis book could get any better, have any more action and suspense, or keep me even more on the edge of my seat than her previous books…I was wrong. In Forgiving Keven, my emotions were all over the place, I was literally biting my nails and holding my breath at points. And the romance … swoon!
I love how Keven’s story ties in with Kade’s and we get to see a bit of where that story ended up. I also love, in every Kennedy Boys book, how we get a glimpse into each of the other couples and see how they are doing. I love that everything ties in together and how close of a family the Kennedys are. Even when the odds are against them, this family holds strong together, has each other’s backs, and truly cares for not only each other, but the significant others in all their lives. Kind of makes you want to be a part of that family.
As with most of the books in this series, we do end on a bit of a teaser cliffhanger for the next book, which I can’t wait for! But be prepared for that tease!
Siobhan Davis had a fan for life in me after I read True Calling way back when. I’m so pleased to continue to absolutely LOVE her books and eagerly await each next book, no matter the genre.
*I was blessed with an advanced copy of this book, which I voluntarily reviewed.*
As usual, nothing bad at all to say about this series! Yet another stellar, in depth story about one of the Kennedy brothers! With each book I feel like Siobhan has delved deeper and deeper into the characters and really makes us feel like we know them. (Although I don’t think New England could take all that hotness in real life!!). I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
So I just finished this a few hours ago and at first I thought, okay I’m going to let this sink in for a day before I write my review but then I realized I couldn’t wait!
Each time I read the next installment of the Kennedy boys, I think “okay..this one is turning into my favorite..” and I thought the same thing with this one too!
Until I got to the very very end and I thought to myself “Ah crap..the next one is gonna be my favorite I think..”
I mean, how is that possible?
OKAY so about THIS book though..it was so good! I loved the chemistry between Cheryl and Kev but I also loved the snark and family snippets we get from the other members that make an appearance!
It felt like I picked up the book and then the next hour I was done because I just couldn’t stop reading it. I was sad it ended but definitely happy with how it ended!
I can’t wait to see where the story goes next with our next Kennedy boy! <3
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
Just amazing! By now you know I am a huge fan of The Kennedy Boys! I mean, how could you not love them. They are amazing.
We finally get Keven’s story. Keven is one of the older brothers, both him and Kaden were already in college and knew all the family secrets. As a result, they were both distant. Up to this point, all we know about Keven is that he is the computer whiz in the family and is constantly watching over his family – even when others don’t realize it.
Keven gets approached by the FBI because of his computer skills – which he had been using for illegal purposes. The FBI want him to help in an investigation or he goes to jail. The case involves Cheryl, his high school sweetheart.
This is a second chance romance NA novel. I loved it. The book focuses mostly on the relationship while building the final situation. It felt like watching a movie…everything was so detailed and crazy. There are plenty of swooning moments, as well as steamy ones. 😀
I often describe The Kennedy Boys as soap opera with so many twists and turns. However, both Keven and Kaden’s books are more mature and focused. This one was hard to put down. Highly recommend it!
Wow wow wow how I love the Kennedy boys and this book did not disappoint at all I loved it so much …straight away I was hooked , couldn’t put it down at all and read it in 3 hrs seriously it was hot , loving , exciting captivating and just all round awesome …Keven and Cheryl story is so swoon worthy and beautiful Siobhan Davis has once again wrote a brilliant book and I can not wait for the next Kennedy instalment
This is a must read for anyone who is a fan of The Kennedy Boys!
I loved this book. There was so much suspense in it! I read this book so fast, because I just did not want to put it down! Thank goodness life let me binge a bit, that’s rare for me!
I can’t figure out what to say about this book without giving it away. There were lots of twists and turns. Some of the characters drove me crazy, in the best possible way.
In addition to being a great book in its own right, without any connection to the series, it was really wonderful to see characters from previous books pop in.
I was lucky enough to read a beta copy of this book.
The Kennedy Boys are back!! Woo hoo!
As with all the other books in this series, I absolutely loved this. The best part is being able to revisit our favorite characters in the series. I did not come from a large family, and the Kennedy dynamic is the perfect one to live vicariously through.
The romance between Keven and Cheryl was steamy and thrilling with a little bit of humor sprinkled in. I could not stop laughing at the part about Kev’s butt. 🙂
I also loved the shout-out to another character in one of Siobhan’s other books. I won’t say whom, but make sure you keep up with Siobhan’s books to catch it!
There was a bit of a twist with the triplets that I didn’t see coming, and I look forward to seeing how their stories turn out even though that means the series will near its end. It will be really hard to walk away from this family but at least I can visit them any time via my Kindle.
“Looking into his pale blue eyes is like traveling back in time. To a moment when he was my everything and I believed I was that to him too.” -Loved this scene!
I received a beta copy and volunteered to review it.
“No one else ever measured up to you, and, even if I had found someone worthy, how could I be with her when I’m still madly in love with you?”
Keven Kennedy and Cheryl Keeland knew each other, and then dated in high school. They were very much in love, until one stupid mistake in senior year…a mistake that should NEVER have happened. Now Keven is faced with a decision to work for the FBI… but all he sees is an opportunity to save Cheryl and to tell her what he should have told her senior year! Time to win her back! Is this fate?
I loved Keven!! He is right up there with Kyler for me!! He is such a devoted, loyal person. When he loves someone, they mean EVERYTHING to them!! He was never able to date someone after Cheryl, because he was still in love with her. He had his random hookups, but he never took them home. He went to their place or to a hotel. And it’s funny because at the beginning both Keven and Cheryl talked about how Keven never spoke romantic things, that just wasn’t who he was. Well, i guess the keyword here was WAS, because he sure was romantic as the story went on and it was pretty freakin swoon worthy.
As for the suspense, it was so much fun in this book. There were times i was yelling at my kindle “hurry up, he’s coming”! There were some pretty shocking and intense scenes. I’m telling you, this woman writes everything really well!!!
I loved seeing the Kennedy family together, which we always do. There were a couple big events in the book, full of Kennedys!! So Cheryl was able to see the family again, but the extended family too. It has really grown. I was thinking in this book, how when it all began it was just Faye coming to live with the boys and their parents. Now look how it has grown!!! Wow!! Then when Cheryl saw the triplets and mentioned them being as tall as Kyler and Kaden, I was like our young triplets are seniors and going to college next year?? In fact their books will be next!! I don’t want it to end, but it cant go on forever, although there’s ALWAYS spinoffs!!
Anyway, I freakin LOVED this book and I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!
I just love every book in this series. I am so glad there are so many Kennedy brothers, and that they each get at least one book devoted to them. Keven was one that we did not really know too much about based on the previous six books. He was definitely mysterious, and it was a lot of fun getting to know him in this one.
The stakes were high in this book, and some of the things that happened were beyond horrifying. I did love having Eva as part of the story. That girl is fierce. It was great having all the Kennedys reunited, and the event at the end was perfect. I can’t wait for the rest of the books in this series.
***I voluntarily read a complimentary ARC of this book.***
If you’ve been following my jibberish along for a while, you’ve probably picked up that the “second chance romance” trope is not my favorite. I just hate the thought of all that wasted time due to some sort of misunderstanding.
In the case of Forgiving Keven, I think the time apart for Cheryl and Keven was needed. Time to grow and mature; to realize what truly matters.
Forgiving Keven is a good blend of thrills and suspense, heart wrenching emotions, and sexual chemistry. Keven is a technical genius who has been recruited by the FBI, and he only agrees once he realizes Cheryl is in trouble. He integrates himself back into her life – both to protect her and win her back. The plot is intense and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Siobhan Davis always turns me into an addict with her words and this was no different.
My only criticism is a personal one. I’m all for love and happy endings and all, but Keven and Cheryl were just a bit too sappy for me. I know that’s a ridiculous criticism, right? Too much love for a love story?
Not my favorite of the Kennedy Brothers, but definitely a great addition to the series.
Siobhan Davis has written another story you can’t put down! Forgiving Keven is the next Kennedy brother’s path to true love. When Keven hears that his first love is in danger, his protective nature leads him to join the FBI. From the first page to the last, the action is nonstop. I highly recommend this book. As a member of the ARC Team, I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I had forgotten how much I enjoyed the Kennedys! It’s been a while since a new installment in their story has been released and I totally dove into it! Keven is one of my favorites of the Kennedy boys and I was so excited to get the whole story on him; Ms. Davis definitely did not disappoint in the telling of it, that’s for sure! Her writing, as always, is incredible – developing characters, eliciting emotions, planting seeds, building suspense, providing action, and wrapping everything up; all with a flow that kept me engaged with every page. It was wonderful, too, to see such a strong heroine, especially one with such a sweet and trusting nature. I absolutely loved Cheryl, and I loved Cheryl and Keven as a couple. I know they won’t be the focus of future books, but I look forward to seeing a bit more of them – just as with Kyler, Kalvin, Kaden, Brad, James and Alex- within the last few segments of the Kennedy’s story.
This book is explosive.
I love the Kenndy boys, However got to say this is now one of my favourites.
Keven has alway been the tech savy brother and he is now part of the FBI.
His once sweetheart Cheryl is now tied up with mob connections thanks to her new fiance. But the chemistry is still there between Keven and Cheryl and he is not going to stop till he gets her back. This book is explosive in many ways, brillant on the edge readIing.
5/5
And yet another Kennedy boy (man) Keven I really need a Keven in my life! Hightech skilled and protective FBI agent, yes please!
I think Keven is the one I love most of the Kennedy boys, and I do love them all! He has some mad skills when it comes to computers and stuff and he’s really protective of those he loves. He doesn’t quite know how to explain his feelings, but he really knows how to show them. And I just get it, I’m the same
Keven&Cheryl
The Kennedy boys are SO addictive- I live for the angsty, dramatic, intense world of passion that Siobhan has built around this family. I just can’t get enough. So, of course, I’m all in for Keven and his second chance romance with his high school sweetie, Cheryl.
Keven and Cheryl have a lot of baggage to confront- things did NOT end well in their “first chance”- and Cheryl is understandably more push than pull. Not to mention- she’s engaged. But Keven is a Kennedy- and he’s not going to give up nor is he going to leave Cheryl unprotected. She’s his one true love- even if things got majorly derailed in the past. Keven is going to right the past romantic wrongs he has with Cheryl, whatever it takes. Can they find their second chance? Can Cheryl ever forgive?
I love Siobhan’s breed of alpha hero. These men are dominant, possessive, and protective alpha men- the type of leading hero that gives me ALL the swoons and totally steels your heart. But the men in this series also have a vulnerability- and emotive openness that I both appreciate and makes for some really delightful character development AND builds a beautifully intimate chemistry with their leading ladies. THey are open and expressive, and they are often selfless and altruistic in the way they love others- their women and their family. These men love HARD- and Keven, Keven fits that Kennedy brother base mold just like I adore. He’s super sweet, but an alpha lover.
This story definitely has a suspenseful element, including building on elements from Kaden’s story, and as usual, we have a heavy dose of the over the top drama that characterize these Kennedy boys! Siobhan writes such engaging stories- she gives you that page turning, enthralling dramatic flair and pairs it with a really emotional, intensely passionate, and consuming romance- it makes for the perfect addictive combination that has me binge reading late into the night. This story definitely builds more on prior books than some of the others (even though they are interconnected standalones), so I’d recommend reading at least the book prior to really get the FULL context of what is happening.
From the beginning of the series, Keven has been this amazing character who his family goes to for any issue. They are always calling Keven and asking for his help and he gladly helps them while also dealing with studying at Harvard. He seemed too perfect but Siobhan taught us that he is only human too. In this book, we learn about his past and his struggles and how that has affected him. We learn how it impacted his relationship in high school and how he had to put his life back together. And even when he thought he had escaped his past it still comes back to haunt him. Now he is trying to juggle his family, his job at the FBI, protecting the girl he loves, while also trying to win back her trust. This whole story was a rollercoaster from the very beginning and I’m so glad we got to learn more about Keven. Amazing book, from start to finish.
I missed the Kennedy Boys SO DAMN MUCH. Gah. And I was so desperate for Keven’s story. It was full of suspense, much more than the previous books, mostly because Kev was mostly away from the family. While this is called a stand-alone, I strongly suggest you read the rest of the books in this series, at the very least the last one “Seducing Kaden”. Kaden and Eva feature heavily in this and it will make more sense if you know their backstory going in. Now I’m just going to count down the days until I get to read Releasing Keanu. I need to know what’s wrong with the triplets.
Keven has been almost an enigma throughout the series up to his book. You know of his fierce loyalty and love for his family, but not much else about him. This book gives you the intimate look at who he is and where he’s going and why. His sexy hotness is further built in your mind as you learn more about him and his childhood sweetheart, Cheryl. Definitely a book you won’t want to miss reading.
