Nomad biker: a solitary life, riding from place to place. Flux once wore the Insurgents MC patch and his territory was Colorado. Now his bottom rocker reads Nomad. The open road is Flux’s therapy and facing a 1,500-pound bull in the rodeo ring is the way he blocks out the memories. One-night stands, booze and plenty of weed have done a damn good job at keeping his heart locked up.Until he meets a … heart locked up.
Until he meets a sassy barrel rider.
The golden hair vixen runs rings around him faster than she rides her horse in the arena, and he can’t keep away from her. For the first time since the unspeakable tragedy happened, something stirs inside him.
But he has a long iceberg of guilt that he doesn’t want to get rid of. He’s chosen to live with it as a reminder of what has happened. Couple that with a bunch of inner demons that don’t play nice and he’s nothing but a shell of who he once was.
Maggie Haves hasn’t known anything except the discipline of practice. Touted as one of the best barrel riders to hit the rodeo circuit, Maggie doesn’t have time for anything that will veer her off the pro rodeo trail.
Rugged, tatted and muscular Flux is a very big distraction. Not to mention complicated beyond belief.
Flux has lived on the wild side most of his life, whereas Maggie has always played it safe. She knows the biker is danger in leather, but she’s drawn to him like a moth to a flame. Something about him keeps luring her, and she’s willing to take a chance on love with this imperfect man even if it destroys her.
Will Maggie be the one to show Flux that he deserves to live again … and forgive himself, or will his demons devour her before he throws her away?
Can two unlikely people find love in the midst of so much darkness?
The Nomad Biker series are standalone romance novels. This is Flux’s story. This book contains violence, abuse, strong language, and steamy/graphic sexual scenes. HEA. No cliffhangers. The book is intended for readers over the age of 18.

I just love this author, every book she puts out I devour them. Flux decided to go Nomad when tragedy struck. Once violence touched his personal life he just couldn’t cope and the Insurgents MC stood by him while he went Nomad. Him and Maggie (Duchess to Flux) met at a bar and flirted for a while then went their separate ways. Meeting up again at the rodeo where Maggie is practicing barrel racing and Flux is participating in bull wrestling in the traveling to rodeo. Maggie doesn’t have time for relationships she’s only concentrating on the championship that is until her ex makes problems for her. All the while his home club is being threatened. Will Flux commit to Maggie? Will he go back to the Insurgents MC and try to help with them with their problems? I can’t wait for the next installment of this series!!
Well this book had me hooked from the start! Flux is the sexy and broken bad@ss biker and Maggie is the sweet yet takes none of his shit woman that he didn’t know he needed/wanted. I loved Flux and Maggie together, the heat and chemistry between them was off the charts hot! I can’t wait for more from Chiah!!
Wow another amazing book by Chiah Wilder. I always wondered what happened to Flux after everything.
I couldn’t put this book down from first page.
I just loved Flux and Maggie.
I can’t wait for more.
Flux was a rogue. The club and his brothers had been his life along with his wife and baby daughter–until he didn’t have them anymore. He needed time away from his old life and left the club as an active member. Now–he worked one of the most dangerous jobs anywhere. He distracts bull while the rodeo bull riders escape the bull after being thrown. His life didn’t mean much to him.
Then he met Maggie. She was gorgeous, sassy, smart, and one heck of a barrel rider. She also turned him down–a first for Flux. He didn’t do relationships or even two nights with the same woman. So why couldn’t he get her out of his mind?
The two are great together. Can she help him get beyond his past? She has her own problems in the form of a stalker. She’s a strong independent woman. Will that be enough? As for Flux, he hears some information that he needs to get to his club. How will he react to seeing his brothers again?
I really like this book. It had action and against and was a little different than the norm. Loved seeing old characters revisit the story line. Can’t wait for the next one!
I have never read a book from Chiah Wilder that I didn’t like. This one’s no exception. Forgiveness: Nomad Biker Romance is part of a new series that revolves around an MC member who decides to go nomad because they can’t handle the day to day life of an active member. Usually it’s due to some horrific personal incident in which running and living a solitary life seems to be the only way to escape the horror they’d left behind. But we all know, you can’t run away from what’s forever embedded in your mind. Each installment will involve a nomad biker from a different MC.
Jared “Flux” Hughes has been ridin’ solo for a long time ever since an unspeakable tragedy happened to him years ago. The pain was too much to bear for him to stick around and be an active member of his MC, the Insurgents.
Maggie Haves has been on the rodeo circuit for a while now, training and working her way to becoming a national champ of barrel racing. She’s sassy and adorable and holding her own in a world that’s overflowing in male testosterone.
When the two see each other at a bar, Flux might think he’s gonna get the girl, but instead, he meets his match. Breaking his number one rule of going for anything further than a one-night stand, Flux can’t help but fall for Maggie. She’s just what he needs as she helps him find some kind of perspective of his life and perhaps find his way back to his MC.
It really is a beautiful story even though there’s plenty of violence that comes with the outlaw MC world. The writing is fantastic, the storyline is original, the main characters are genuine and likable, and just having the Insurgents AND Night Rebels (yes, both clubs! Squeeee!) appearing together is a treat in itself!! Five stars for me!!!!
Let’s start off by saying that we really enjoy this author’s stories as they are always pure entertainment and this story was just that.
This was a really cute story about Flux and Maggie and pretty much out of the norm for an MC themed plot and we really enjoyed the refreshing plot that was a whole lot of fun that made us laugh throughout most of the story and we love when that happen.
Maggie we loved her from the onset as she was driven, beautiful, vulnerable, sexy, smart, had a vibrant personality and bit of a firecracker if you ask me and a take not crap kind of girl.
Flux- We loved him to from the onset of the story too.We loved the sexy cocky normad who was filled with so much darkness it broke our heart but, he also had this tender side that he keeps hidden from most and we really loved seeing that side of him emerge from the shield he had built around himself. We loved seeing his vulnerable side as well.
Flux and Maggie made the perfect couple as their chemistry was off the charts and their sexual romps were totally hot and super sexy.Flux and Maggie meet at a time where each seems to be floundering a bit a looking for a change and perhaps getting tired of the wear and tare of touring the circuit but, neither of them realizing what they were actually searching for.I think though they had been waiting for each other to come along and give them the little nudge each other needed to mix things up a bit.
We loved Maggie as she was a force to be reckoned with and she was a really strong feisty character until fate steps in and she lets us see her vulnerable side.Flux was drowning in sadness and sorrow but, Maggie was the one bright light and his very dark days.
We loved the drama and the cat and mouse game that this couple played but, when the drama becomes deadly Flux finally realizes that he almost lost the women who had turned his life upside down and made him feel again also had come to love without even laying claim to her yet.Would he ever get his chance or has that ship sailed already?
Overall all we loved the story that had tons drama, a sweet love story that was about healing and forgiveness and one returning to the fold with the ones you call your family. We love seeing what sacrifices Flux and Maggie would be willing to make in order for each of them to seek the happiness they both deserved. We love seeing this hit it and ditch it biker be brought to his knees by a mere slip of a country girl and as they say “When the fall the fall hard!”
Laughing out loud and grins!
Maggie’s secret thoughts- “The biker Adonis didn’t need any help knowing he was a hot commodity.”
Recommended read to those enjoying this ongoing series.
Now this is the way to start a new series. Even though I say series each book is going to be a standalone with no reoccurring story lines. Which in my opinion is what makes it a standalone.
I loved Flux he is definitely an alpha male. He is a take no prisoners type of guy that knows what he wants and how to get it.
Maggie is strong and independent. She’s also sweet, caring, and nurturing. Which is exactly what Flux needed.
They truly compliment each other in every way.
I’m super excited to see what comes next in these Nomad books. There is something sexy about a man who is strong enough to be out on his own, not answering to anyone and doing what they want.

This was about Flux and Maggie (aka Duchess).
Flux was a member of the Insurgents Motorcycle club but his wife and daughter were murdered when he was away and he struggled to recover. He left the MC with their blessing and became a nomad working odd jobs. His most recent job was in a rodeo. When he wasn’t at the rodeo he was trying to drink away the pain of the memories of seeing his wife lying there.
Maggie is a beautiful barrel racer that gets taken in by Flux. He is quite the enigma. One minute he’s all bad biker boy and then next he’s all soft when it comes to her and only her.
They hook up for one night which is off the charts and changes everything.
Unfortunately, Maggie has an “ex” named Chet who doesn’t believe women should be out and about. They should be taking care of their men and that’s about it. He’s become quite the stalker but Maggie can’t get rid of him because he’s a huge rodeo draw.
This book has twists and turns and takes you on a fun ride. Flux is so tender that you can’t help but fall in love with him by the end!
4 stars
As a huge fan of the Insurgent’s series, I was stoked to read the beginning of a new series and I was not disappointed.
Living the outlaw motorcycle lifestyle comes with no guarantees; violence, mayhem and blood are a given but it’s not supposed to touch their women. After experiencing a trauma so great it makes it impossible to stay in his adopted hometown of Pinewood Springs, Colorado, Flux goes nomad, living a life of solitude. Life as a bullfighter appeals to both his Texas upbringing and his constant need for danger. As for women, he definitely lives to up to the “rodeo for a night” label, no way he’ll let someone close enough to get attached again. Until her… Until his “duchess” walks in all sassy and sexy.
Living the rodeo life, Maggie Haves has heard all the lines, seen the spectacle and been thrown enough she stays away from cowboys. She’s a barrel racer intent on being the best and has no time for anything that takes her eyes off that goal. She didn’t factor in her heart though. The nomadic bullfighter says he’s only in it for fun but she’s afraid he’s going to ride away with her heart.
In Forgiveness, we partially trade in the Harley for the horse and it’s fantastic. Loved the instant chemistry between Flux and Maggie. She’s a sassy, take no shit heroine and fits our hero perfectly. She heals him and gives them both a second chance. Definitely enjoyed seeing him coming back to the brotherhood and loved seeing our guys show up. Fantastic read and great start to this new series!

Chiah Wilder is the Queen of true badboy biker romance. Her books can be raw, real life, probably the closest to actual biker life books out there. Flux and Maggie have a hot passion for one another. This book is an amazing read, hope you enjoy as much as I did.
This is the first book in a new MC series by this author and it was amazing. Flux decided to go nomad after tragedy struck. When he meets Maggie, who is a barrel rider with the rodeo circuit there is undeniable chemistry. The story was well written, and totally captivated me throughout the entire book. I love this author and can not wait for the next great read from her.
Flux was with the Insurgents Motorcycle Club until tragedy struck and he became a nomad. Now he works with the rodeo getting the bulls away from the riders after they’re thrown or get off. Maggie is a barrel racer and has her eyes on the Nationals. Her sassy mouth and beautiful body brings Flux back to the land of the living. Will he be able to let the past go and live for the future?
A little hard to get into at first. I almost stopped reading but kept going and it got better over half way through. Bikers, cowgirls, and sex. Explicit sex and fighting.
