Will the reverend mother’s teachings be heeded, or will carpenter Brett teach Sister Monica a whole new way to handle wood?

Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned
This is Book 2 of the Nasty Habits series and features mischievous Sister Monica, the resident prankster of the Convent. Monica loves her faith, joining the Convent at 18. The only downside is the sadistic Mother Superior who rules the Convent with an iron fist. After the scandal of Sister Margaret running away with the gardener, Mother Superior Antonia is more determined than ever to keep a tight leash on the Sisters.
The annual Harvest Festival is a good distraction for all the Sisters and they are eagerly preparing for the event. It’s their chance to sell their wares, interact with the public and drum up interest in the Church.
Brett has taken on a carpenter apprenticeship at the Convent helping to build the Harvest Festival. However, he’s learning nothing from the cruel taskmaster who is working him to the bone and refuses to acknowledge Brett’s talent. After a work accident (caused by the foreman) lands him in the resident doctor’s office, it’s the sweet Sister Monica that stitches him up.
From there a friendship and deep attraction occurs before the two cannot stay away from each other. But is their relationship enough for Monica to abandon her vows? What happens once the Festival is over and Brett has to leave? And will interfering Sisters block their budding love?
Another winner! I really love how #LilyMiles writes her series – we get glimpses into other character’s thoughts especially the formidable Mother Superior. I enjoy reading about the different Sisters and even the subtle lesbian vibes are hot. The Convent is more like a prison considering that each Sister so far has had to escape under clandestine means, fearing the wrath of Mother Superior. Looking forward to Book 3!

A great sequel
Miles pens another great story in Forgive us Our Trespasses, a new story in the Nasty Habits Series. I’ve read the first one, Sweet Salvation, and looked forward to reading this one as well. This was a good sequel and it followed the first one perfectly. Each nun has her own story, faith and perception, as well as personalities. I think there are more stories to come from these nuns. I get the concept of the story, and the introduction of Brett, but found it interesting that he would get attached to Monica. It’s a good story with great character development. I look forward to reading more by this author. This book is a definite recommendation by Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews.
I’m truly enjoying this series!
In this book the focus is on mischievous sister Monica who finds her match in Brett.
I loved these two together, they were just perfect for each other! There is a slow build up to their relationship filled with sweet and heartwarming moments.
As expected, secondary characters again really added to the storyline. Sister Catherine is my favorite and I can’t wait to read her story! And new addition to the nuns in convent also has me all curious! I was also surprised by Mother Antonia’s struggles, it definitely made me see her in new light.
Can’t wait to read the next installment!
