This is the first story I’ve listened to by this author. I found the blurb to be something I thought I’d like and this is really a great story. Right from the start I was brokenhearted with Jamie’s story. It makes me look around when I’m shopping and doing other errands wondering how many kids something like this happens to. Jamie does the best he can when forced on his own as an underage teenager. So much happens to him that keeps breaking my heart until circumstances cause him to meet Butch. I was so happy that the author also addressed what happened to Jamie’s sister. Without adding spoilers the best I can say is this is a must read. On so many levels it touched me. The things that happen with Jamie’s friends. As I mentioned Jamie’s sister is another situation answered. This is just one very emotional book. Now the downside. While I love the story not so much the narration. Alexander Collins does not appear to be a new narrator. If the story had not been so good his voice with the same lilt in each sentence would have caused me to read the book rather than listen to it. It might be my personal opinion. I finished listening to it because I received a free copy. I would have bought the book and read it otherwise. As I stated, I received a free copy and this is a voluntary review.
So dang good!!!
I couldn’t wait for Jamie’s story. Raw and realistic, this one will rip your heart out, smack it a few times while it’s mending, then leave you happy and whole by the end. There are some powerful moments that’s have you angry, nervous, and fearful but they are balanced by amazing moments that’ll warn your heart. I especially loved when Jamie let’s himself be himself. That scene perfectly done. You will definitely see that Jamie wasn’t always the strong man we met in Grayson Fox. I was so excited to read more about Daniel and Marcus. It pulled both books together in a way Greyson, Samuel, Jamie, and Butch couldn’t. I’m hoping we get at least one more story in this world. I’d love to get Keagan’s story.
Wow this book was amazing.
To be able to read Jamie story was powerful.
I was captivated by his story.
And what he had to go through I was overwhelmed
But so invested in this story.
I was not disappointed this story was well written.
I like this author writing style this book
Will have u on the edge of ur seat.
Overall this book meet my expectations
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy and my opinion are my own.
Forgive Me Father is Jamie’s story through his POV. If you’ve read Greyson Fox, book 1 you would have met Jamie in that story. I’ve been so intrigued to find out Jamie’s story and TL did such a magnificent job telling it, especially with the nature of the heart breaking and horrible events that took place in his poor young life.
This story is deep, there are trigger warnings…. but TL has written this story with such brilliance that I actually felt as if I were right there with Jamie I wanted to hold him and protect and love him and I will admit I had to stop gather my wits and go back in.
Through all this Jamie hits bottom, to the point of not wanting to live but thankfully the love and support of friends he’s met on his journey ,and one special soulmate Butch who helps heal Jamie from his pain and suffering and the love they share is one of such heart felt beauty.
This book can be read as a stand-alone but in my opinion it would be best if Greyson Fox was read first.
TL Travis what can I say? Words cannot express how far your writing has come. This author writes from the heart and it flows right through with her words.
Thank you for yet another brilliant story?
Forgive me Father is more heavier than I expected. Jamie’s life is so hard it hurts to read about it. From when he is fifteen he lives on the street with a few other boys. There are awful events playing.. When the boys ways separate from each other Jamie is on his own… alone…
More dead than alive and in a hospital… a detective brings him in contact with Daniel… and with meeting Daniel he meets Daniels partner Marcus… both men help him and finally his life has some sunshine… Meeting Butch is icing on the cake…
Only life is cruel and more horrible events are playing…
Wonderful written story! Very well done! When this story and Greyson’s entwined is was great to recognize it all.
Every line is captivating and every emotion honest. I couldn’t stop reading until I was finished.
The story shows us a timeline of many years… and a lot… a-lot- is happening and not all is light and fun… there are dark and very hard times… so be prepared

Forgive Me Father by TL Travis is an amazing book. Jamie is a strong individual who experiences much darkness and hurt… but finds saviors and family… and eventually love and acceptance. I love Jamie and Butch…They are wonderful characters. There were lots of times I had tears in my eyes. I had lots of feelings reading Jamie’s story – sadness, horror, happiness… this book is well told and beautiful.
I received an advanced reader’s copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
Did you read Greyson Fox? If you did, you for sure had to wonder about Jaime’s story. Forgive Me Father is that story. But it is a whole lot more than Jaime’s story. Told from his point of view, we see what horrors brought Jaime to be in Seattle, before Greyson’s story. We find out more about Butch, Marcus and Daniel. This story is full of pain that is not necessarily easy to read but it is also a story I have heard before…from my own gay friends who have endured hate from their own families and have had to make their own way without someone to care about them. Jaime finds himself at the end of his rope to the point of hoping daily that he just wouldn’t wake up. But the story is not just about the pain and horrors that Jaime dealt with, it is also about redemption and salvation.
A truly engaging and well written m/m book with plenty of heat. Starts out sad but things turn around for the better. Great characters that are well developed and believable. Plot has happiness, danger, love, hate and more that keeps the reader interested througout.
