Uh that CLIFFHANGER!!
Seriously??
It shouldn’t surprise me from Brooke Blaine but REALLY??
Those final three words killed me.
I knew what was coming but DAMN!!
OK, onto book two because stupid cliffhanger!!
Forget Me Not is the first book in the Unforgettable Duet by one of my favorite writers, Brooke Blaine. I have read every single one of her books including the ones written with Ella Frank. I absolutely love M/M so I was exciting she wrote another one.
It all started with coffee…
Ollie knew the way he took his coffee, he has over the last four months but he didn’t know his name. Not until that day. The day they finally spoke. The day that their lives collided. The day that changed everything.
Well…that’s all I can say about that. Sorry. I will say that’s it’s an emotional, fun, unexpected, and addicting story. I love the characters. The writing. The story. The feels. I can’t wait for the next book. It’s a good thing there isn’t much of a wait. I already want more!
Quotes:
“Go ahead,” I said. “Show me up. I dare you.”
“You’re married; you don’t need to buy things to get laid.”
“Spoken like someone who’s never been married.”
“Is it considered trespassing if it’s abandoned?”
“Probably. You don’t mind breaking a few rules with me, do you?”
*I had to add that last one. It’s an adventure I want to go on so bad.
Heartbreakingly Beautiful
Ollie and Reid’s beginning story was so heartbreakingly beautiful. The ups and then the fall down was beautiful and the love Ollie and Reid shared was the stuff Romance was made for. An amazing story with a cliffhanger!

What kind of blurb is that? It doesn’t give a clue about what we are going to find in the book. Looking at the cover, I was expecting a rock star as a main character (hunk + tattoo + those colours = rock star, am I right?). The classic bad boy who has a woman in every town. It was thanks to another blog that I discovered this is an M/M book, so I guess a man in every town. I was ready for a cocky and sometimes rude rocker, leading a crazy life. I was pretty surprised at what was really in the inside of the book.
The book is narrated from Ollie’s point of view, a paramedic that has a crush on a stranger that he sees everyday at Joe’s Grab ‘N Go getting his daily dosis of caffeine. For months he has been unable to say something to him, but one day Ollie makes a bit of small talk with the stranger. That would have been an awesome day, except that same day the stranger (Reid) has a really bad accident. The paramedic is the one to respond the call and, thanks to him, Reid is saved. But the poor guy doesn’t rememeber anything of the last ten years, anything except his short converstion with Ollie.
As you can imagine, that is the beginning of a really sweet story that develops little by little in a strong love between them. Brooke doesn’t rush things along as it usually happens in this genre. The couple takes small but sure steps forward to build something dreamy. I’m in actual awe at Ollie. The way he handles Reid’s situation even though it could backfire at any moment is very heartwarming. I had a smile plastered in my face the whole ride.
Most of the merit of my mark for this book is Ollie. He is sweet, considerate, easy-going, loyal, friendly, sensible, empathetic, smart, easy to the eyes, nerdy, the right amount of cocky and… and… Great… I have a crush on a fictional character!! Thank you so much, Brooke Blaine!! *sigh*. Honestly, Ollie is awesome. We would be in a much better world if more people like him would be amongst us. Reid is nice, too; but he is far from the almost perfection of the paramedic.
Ollie’s best friend, Mark, also gets a big thumbs up. He is so much fun and has such a great way of taking care of Ollie. I love all the scenes with those two in the ambulance. That’s the kind of friendship everyone should try to achieve.
In general, the book is sweet and nce to read, but it doesn’t have any kind of emotional blow to keep things interesting. At least not until the end. The author was holding the punch. That clifhanger is a nasty jiu jitsu move mixed with krav maga and crazy kung fu… When I finished the book I couldn’t breathe. I was feeling dizzy and I was trembling (honest!!). So, SO mean!! And I loved it!! Every bit of it!!
Buuuuuuut there is a tiny part of this book that pissed me off. More precisely, my inner nerd was screaming curses and trying to make me give a one star to the book. I didn’t listen to him, because sometimes my inner nerd can be an annoying whiner… What was he complaining about, though? Ollie’s puns against Ant-Man. The first one was bearable. The second one was uncalled for, but the third one… that one is just cruel!! What do you have against poor Ant-Man?? I love his comics (Hank’s, Scott’s or Erik’s) and the movie!! Ollie is so dreamy that I can even forgive him something like that.
This is a much better book than I was expecting. I will have to check Brooke Blaine’s books to see if there is something else that catches my attention, because Forget Me Not has put her on my “Authors to follow” list (a very prestigious one if you ask me)!!
I read this in one sitting… The I couldn’t stop reading because it was so good kind of story.
This story is part one of a duet so expect a cliffhanger.
In this M/M Romance you have two people who do not know each other very well, but due to their shared experience the two find each other drawn to one another. The kind of bond that can withstand anything. Well maybe anything?
Fantastic story!

*Gives the author the evil eye*
I know I knew going in there would be a cliffy, this IS the first book in a duet after all, but still..Not. Cool. Especially since liquid decided to pool in my eyes and all that stuff…
*Big, heavy sigh*
But now that we have that out of the way…
OMG. I was soooo dopey smiling the ENTIRE time I was reading Forget Me Not.
THE. ENTIRE. TIME.
My cheeks hurt (and I probably scared my coworkers since I rarely smile that them jking jking…maybe) and my heart is all kinds of gooey even as it is breaking just a little, because it was so much fun to experience Ollie and Reid getting to know each other. It was all kinds of sweet, heartwarming, intense and smexy. They are such good men that it was easy to fall for both of them. They are seriously heart twitterpating swoon worthy goodness.
As for that ending. Yes. I knew something was going to happen, but that still doesn’t negate my reaction to it nor the fact that I want Remember Me When on my ereader, oh like 20 mins ago when I read those last words. I am very thankful that the time in between books is short and will do my best to practice patience…hopefully.

Ollie and Reid stole my heart. Forget Me Not was very refreshing and I couldn’t have asked for anything more when it comes to Brooke Blaine’s books. She writes characters the reader can’t help falling in love with.
Ollie was such a caring person and all that he did for Reid melted my heart. He was so hesitant to open his heart to the possibility of anything with Reid especially after all the things he goes through, but damn if I didn’t love them together. I liked Reid as well, despite all the confusion he’s feeling and the missing memories, he doesn’t let it stop him from taking charge and exploring things with Ollie. He turned out to be such a wonderful character.
I really loved this book and Brooke Blaine has a way of writing great heartfelt stories with lovable characters. I am dying to read the next book.
This book is the first in a two book series ..
Brooke has outdone herself this a beautiful book showing the meeting of two guys …
Ollie has wanted to know more of this lovely man he sees most days ….
This morning they spoke I’m Ollie the paramedic says — I am Reid says the guy making a coffee…
Ollie has fantasised about this guy for a while …
Ollie is a paramedic and with his partner arrive at an extremely awful car crash .
He sees the car which is now familiar ~~~~it’s Reid’s ..
I’m not going to go into much detail because 1. this is a novella 2. I don’t spoil stories.
Ollie and Reid meet in one of the most original ways I have read in a while. It’s not the best of terms but their lives cross paths and nothing is the same after that. It’s fresh, it’s addicting, and it’s heartbreaking. I loved every minute of this book and I couldn’t put it down. I love everyone of Brooke’s books but I haven’t looooved one this much since her Flash Point book. She knows how much I love me some Jason. *sigh*
The covers are amazing, the pages in between are epic. If you enjoy M/M stories then you will not want to miss this one. It’s a love story that you don’t see everyday and one that no one can deny was meant to be.
Ollie & Reid stole my heart! Their relationship and love for one another had me soaring. I could not get enough of these two! I savored each page hoping, wishing, falling in love as they did and my heart was breaking of what will happen next between these two men.
I am anxiously awaiting the next book because I need to know…will he or won’t he?
This book will emotionally gut you in a delicious way. Go Grab it and be ready to find out if the truth is worth forgetting.
5 star review of Forget Me Not (The Unforgettable Duet #1) by Brooke Blaine
Brooke Blaine is a new author to me and I have no idea why. This book was one of those books that I read in virtually one go. I knew going in that this was book one of a duet but be prepared though that the ending will have leave you with your heart in your mouth. Thankfully we don’t have to wait long for the second book in the duet otherwise I would be jumping up and down.
This was the second amnesia book I have read in the last week and I must say that it was extremely well written. Ollie and Reed were such wonderful characters that I would love to have them in my life, throw in Ollie’s co worker Mike, who was hilarious at times and these characters simply brought this story to life.
I had no clue what was going to happen, although I did get the feeling whilst reading that I was waiting for the “other shoe to drop” and boy did it drop. Not going to give too much away as I do not want to spoil the enjoyment for others.
Suffice to say that this was one of those books that had me riveted from the the first page to the last and I cannot wait to see where Ms.Blaine takes us in the next book.
I have read books written by this author when she is writing with a partner but this is the first book I have read by Brooke Blaine on her own and I really don’t know why, I love her writing style and I love her strong characters. This is book one in a duet and I do have to say it finishes on a bit of a cliffhanger but I do believe book two is not far away. A beautifully written love story that takes you on Ollie and Reid’s journey, it’s about fate, its about friendship, it’s funny in parts and it will make you cry, all in all it’s the perfect book that is is easy to read and I urge you all to one click this book. I understand book two is going to be released within the month and I really can’t wait for the final instalment in Ollie and Reid’s love story. Great job Brooke Blaine
“. . . three little words, nine letters, three syllables . . .”
A. Must. Read.
Seriously. I insist. You need to get to know Ollie and Reid. Get to see their adorable meet-cute and all that happens thereafter. You need to be a part of this amazing, fun, smart, sexy romance. You need to know what happens. You need to just fucking read it. There, I said it. You must read Forget Me Not.
And you need to be prepared, because Brooke Blaine has brought her A game. I’m dying for Remember Me When, part two of this amazing duet. I’m ready to play, Ms. Blaine, ready to play . . .
Forget Me Not, the first book in the Unforgettable duet is, indeed, unforgettable. I’m a little bit blown away right now. It’s the perfect mixture of this sort of adorable, witty/funny/sweet romance at which Ms. Blaine excels.
But it’s also more.
There were some emotional punches that snuck up on me. I mean, I adored this beautiful couple in a way that I completely was not expecting. Both Reid and Ollie are incredibly easy to love and their story was a delight to read.
But those punches, tho.
I literally devoured this book in one sitting. The writing is completely engaging and the storyline is utterly addictive. The cliffy on this one is a doozy – but the resolution is coming soon (and I’m dying for it a little bit because…oof). My heart is braced and hopeful – bring it, Ms. Blaine. ~ 4.5 Stars
In literally just finished Forget Me Not and I´m in a massive book hangover right now. I can´t get the story and the characters out of my head. They stay stubbornly at the forefront of my thoughts.
Forget Me Not by Brooke Blaine is the first book in The Unforgettable Duet. This is Oliie and Reid´s story.
Meet Ollie – Oliver McFadden. He is a 32 year old who lost his family years ago and works as paramedic. When he gets his daily dose of caffeine at Joe´s Grab´N Go he meets his soulmate, Reid. Only Reid has no clue and he´s as straight as they come. Reid Valentine is a 27 year old artist about to teach in school. Only fate/karma has other plans. Plans that turn the mens worlds upside down.

I started reading and was sucked into the book from page one. It´s such a beautiful and at the same time tragic story. My heart hurt for the characters. It´s heart wrenching to read about the pain, the struggle, the uncertainty and the love they have to endure.
Forget Me Not is extremely well written, a unique story and I immediatedly connected with the characters . I can´t say how much I love this book and wish I could give more than 5 stars. I can´t wait to get my hands on the second book, I have to know what happens to Ollie and Reid. I highly recommend Forget Me Not !!!
I loved this book so hard! Such an amazing friends to lovers story. Can we all give Brooke Blaine a round of applause, please?
From the very first page I was sucked into Ollie and Reid’s world. Brook Blaine writes such a beautiful story that you feel as if you’re a side character in the story experiencing everything right along with them. My heart broke…I even cried a little, it soared, and hoped for Ollie and Reid and their love.
This story was everything I wished it could be and more. I loved the characters, the story, the journey and how it made me feel. Thank goodness the next book in the duet is right around the corner because I would die waiting much longer for the part of Ollie and Reid’s story. 5 Stars.
