A very touching story dealing with the loss of a loved one.
Lucy Brighton grew up with cold an often absent parents but she never lacked for material things and a great education. She is a cartoonist who has a multimillion empire. This is the first Fern Michael’s book that I have read. Enjoyed it. Will be reading more of her books from now on
Lovely story with mystery.
What did I just listen to? It’s like the author couldn’t decide which genre so made a mash up of multiple ones thus failing all in my opinion. Not quite a decent spy novel, a ridiculous romance and the narration was so over the top of what people deem stereotypical NJ/NY accents it was hard to listen to.
I tried to like this book but it gave me so little to work with. The synopsis of the book and the premise were intriguing but the execution was less than thrilling. This book defines a light read in that there is so little substance I thought the book might float away as I was reading it. The characters are flat and one dimensional and everyone …
Like most of Fern Michaels books this one is another quick read. I read it on vacation while in airports and inflight.
It’s a good love story about how families are just functional but also got a little mystery in it with her parents working for the Secret Service and how they really weren’t your parents and the mystery she goes through to find them but it’s also about making lifelong friend so you can really trust.
Had the potential to be more interesting, but followed the pattern of other books by this author. Predictable. A very easy, quick read.
Wish the profanity were omitted.
Love all her books never disappointed
Just a fun read. A great afternoon book.
