There is no way to avoid falling in love with Drannon. The author has written him as the embodiment of gorgeous alpha male. He has his hardness, but under that he is soft and gentle and looking for the one who will make him complete. He finds that, and his HEA, in Lacy. The author brought their story to life with this book while introducing us to the three brothers. I can’t wait to see what kind of women manage to rope those three.
A reread for me and I love it now just as much as I did way back when.
The Crawley Creek Ranch, a haven for kids, now being run by Drannon and his chosen siblings.
This one is Drannon and Lacy’s story. It’s got all the feels and takes you on a very hot, but also sweet journey in the middle of winter in North Dakota. Gotta stay warm somehow, ya know!
Love all the characters with their various interesting life stories. Main characters are well matched and strong-willed. He knows exactly what and who he wants. Seems like a great place to be stranded with all these sexy rough-around the edges cowboys that are so strong, capable, handsome and…..polite.
Two lost souls find each other and connect on so many levels, passion, respect, love. A standalone but read the prequel first for a little background. Well written!
I love this series even though I’m pretty much reading it backwards as I read the last two in the series and now gone back to see how it all began. This book introduces us to the ‘brothers’ and how they came to be a family sharing this home at Crawley Creek.
This is the story of one of the brothers Drannon, and Lacy who is running from her own demons and comes to spend some time there. She learns to ride a horse and experience wide open spaces as well as fall in love. The chemistry between them is sizzling from the start and you want their time to extend so that Lacy doesn’t leave.
I really enjoyed ‘seeing’ what this area of the country is like, though it sounds too cold for me. The story was sexy and fun and I look forward to reading the next one.
New Beginnings
This is a great story. Lacy decides to go into a Dude ranch after getting fired and needing someplace to celebrate her birthday. Drannon was brought to the ranch as a foster kid and stayed. Each of the boys working it now were once foster kids. Can Lacy find peace &love.
I loved loved loved this story. Being from North Dakota, I could relate to a lot of the eye rolls some of the guys gave Lacy in terms of winter weather. I mean ,”really, who books a vacation to ND in February”
Lacy is a woman who is down on her luck. She decides while waiting to find out about a job offer she is going to cross off one of her bucket list items. She wants to learn to ride a horse. Without doing much research, she books a vacation to North Dakota in February. Once she gets there, the fun begins.
Drannon knows hardship, but he also know the love of family and hard work. He loves what he does but find that life is lonely on the ranch. Then he meets a redhead the interests him like no other. He decides he is going to teach this out of towner how to ride a horse as he figures out how to keep her in his life forever.
I have had this one in my TBR closet for a while and I finally got around to reading it. This was a quick easy read for me. This is a well written story with wonderful characters. I look forward to reading the rest of this series. I would encourage everyone to get this one.
