When Lana has to work with Lucas, the guy responsible for her husband’s death, she has to rise above secrets from the past if she wants to have a future.
Forged Futures is an action packed rollercoaster of a story! There is a romance hidden in there but the focus is on the fight against the Landsliders. Lana and Lucas are compelling protagonists and the supporting characters are well developed with important contributions to the conclusion of the story. This book is part of a series but reads well as a standalone book. I will be going back to read the earlier books in the series, mostly because I enjoyed the characters in this book and want to spend more time with them.

This is book four in the Tribal Spirits series, and I would STRONGLY recommend you read books one through three first. There is an ongoing story arc that rears its ugly head again, and you need to know the devastation this has caused before now.
Lana’s husband was killed by the Landsliders last year, and she is existing. She isn’t surviving, or living, just existing. When those Landsliders come after Lana, Lucas, of the East Coast Tribe, is back in town to find out why. To get the shaman who has been at the right hand of the man who betrayed The Tribe. Having to stay in Lana’s house though, wasn’t in the plan but the tiger within Lucas demands he stay, to keep her safe. When they realise the Landsliders are looking for a device that Lana’s dead husband stole from them, the Red River and Silver Springs packs prepare for all-out war on the Landsliders. But what about after? Lucas will leave and Lana will be left alone again. Won’t they?
Like I said, book 4 in the series, and I think, maybe my favourite of the four so far. Can’t tell you why, though, but that’s my feeling and ya’ll know I’m ALL about the book feelings!
Lana is just about getting by. As a cat, she needs that physical connection and since her husband’s death, she gets it only from her friend, Ally. Which, while lovely, it doesn’t quite help, you know? Lana’s attraction to Lucas was as unexpected as it was unwanted. Lana feels guilty for cheating on her husband, even though he is gone. Once Gavin’s friends are made to see how much she needs this with Lucas, she jumps all in.
As Tribe, Lucas moves around, having only his family home as a base. Staying with Lana makes him see what he has been missing. Coming home to someone who gets him, on a deep level that no one, not even his Tribe mates, do. Lana SEES Lucas, she really does.
But what I particularly loved about this one, what made it stand out, was there was none of that MINE thing that usually comes with shifter mates. There was attraction, and feelings and emotions, yes, and these grew over time, but that immediate MINE moment? Nothing, not until they were fully mated, and it was a kind of “OH!” moment for Lana and Lucas and I really loved that. While they were taking comfort in each other, the mating bonds formed and neither realised til that moment. Loved that!
There are many secrets that come out here, and poor Lana bears the brunt of them.
Sierra and Dax; Jer and Raven play a huge part here, but Finn and Navi are only mentioned.
With one half of the head of the Landsliders now disposed of, lets hope in the next book they can get rid of them entirely. And I believe that Drew, the Landslider who turned against them, gets his story next. The bad boy does turn good here, fighting for the packs and there are some mahoosive clues (unless I’m totally dense and misread them totally wrong!) as to who might be Drew’s mate. I hope I did not read them wrong, cos the cat in question clearly has feelings for Drew and vice versa, and they are no clearer then when they are “stuck” So, please let it be her!
5 full and shiny stars.

This is a lovely story about 2 shifters finding love in the bleakest of situations. I enjoy reading shifter romances and this one is very engaging with characters that you can root for. It only takes about 2 hours to read so not too long of a story but definitely one worth your time.

From the instant I dove in, it was a pulse pounding adrenaline rush!! Steamy, exciting, and engaging, I’m absolutely in love with this series. I couldn’t put it down because I needed to not only know if the attraction would evolve to more, but would they uncover the source of the danger plaguing them around every turn. I had a blast in my reading chair the entire time! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review.

The fourth book in the Tribal Spirits series a story that held my interest throughout. Lucas Diaz and Lana Bennett’s story has suspense, drama, danger, villains, twists, turns, magic, shifters, and romance. I want to read the next book. Forged Futures is the fourth book in the Tribal Spirits series, and we get Lana’s story. Hers and Lucas’, the gentle giant of the East Coast Tribe.
Lana has suffered since her husband died. Not only did she lose her best friend, but everyone treats her differently now too. She is unable to speak of him, and this tears her up inside. She is also not good at living alone. So when she hears creaks and groans that don’t belong in her house, she knows something is up. That is the start of her life unravelling from how she knew it. Her husband wasn’t who she thought he was, but there were reasons for that, which Lana finds out.
Lucas has been attracted to Lana from the start, but as a ‘new’ widow, he refused to make a move. He can’t stop himself from protecting her though, and nor does he want to try. Lucas is fighting his own battles, and they help him with Lana, as it helps him to understand.
These two really are a match made in heaven. Lana sees Lucas for who he really is, and Lucas sees Lana as a woman, not just a widow. The excitement is rife in this book, and I got all flustered thinking Mackey was going down! I can’t wait for that to happen!!! At least they made headway, but I won’t say anything else! Drew is really coming into his own too. Ms. McIntyre is dropping hints about what happened, and why, and also what might be coming. I really hope I’m right, as he has managed to wriggle into my affections, and I really want to see him happy!
Exceptional writing, just what I would expect from a Katherine McIntyre book. There were no editing or grammatical errors that I noticed, with a smoothly paced story, and no plot holes. There is a slow-build up to the steam, and it works perfectly. Great characters, and an exciting story. Sierra and Dax still remain my favourites (so far), but Lana and Lucas are hot on their heels. Let’s see if it stays that way once Drew gets his story! Absolutely recommended by me.

This is a great shifter book with amazing characters and an intriguing story line. The moment Lana and Lucas meet, you can feel the intensity and passion they have for each other. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys shifter books.
4th book in seires, it is a stand alone but events and people mentioned are in earlier books and you understand better if theyou have been read.
This book deals with grief and loss and how we each deal with it in our own way. Grief is different for each loss and also different for each person, and how talking about the person you loss can help some in processing it.
Loss does not mean we stop living or loving and this is a story of moving on after loss and finding love again .
Enjoy this story and may it’s insights help you.

This book give us the story of Lucas Diaz and Lana Bennett through an insightful look at loss, love, and grief. When Lana lost her husband and best friend, it tore her apart. But the discovery that he had kept a devastating secret from her made the loss even worse because it had led to his being murdered and her being put into terrible danger. Unknown to her, her husband had stolen an anti-shifter bomb from the Landsliders and they want it back regardless of what they have to do. They assume Lana has possession of the device now – even though she had no idea that her husband had any kind of interaction with them at all! Now they are coming for her and to reclaim the deadly bomb!
Lucas Diaz is a powerful Siberian tiger shifter and a member of the East Coast tribe who intervenes as Lana is under attack by two grizzly bears and a wolf who had joined the fight before she could escape. With new hope for victory, Lana battles with the wolf while Lucas takes on the bears. But the killing brought back memories of Greg’s lifeless body, and the numbness settled over her.
Lucas will be Lana’s protector as he searches for the missing bomb which would annihilate all shifters. He admires and respects Lana’s strength throughout these trials. Deeply grieving and devastated at what she has learned, she still stands up to the enemy. The more time they spend together, the more they fight the attraction that grows between them. Both have known loss and can find comfort if they will allow the other to heal them. Is there a future for these two potential mates? Or is the cost too dear?
This is part of an excellent series with an intriguing story line and wonderful characters. The fast-action will keep the reader engaged and eagerly reading to the last page. Don’t miss this one – there is much at stake here!
Poor Lana. the landsliders and Joe who is a shaman are causing trouble again and it all seems directed to her. I loved this character as she was a mountain lion shifter widow and just kept going regardless of what she found out. Lucus was also fantastic as he was there to take down this shaman. Lucus who is a tiger shifter and a tribal member was a strong character who had a lost of his own. As these two work through their loses the chemistry was fantastic.. Lots of action and some steam with another great story about this pack. Secondary characters are also likeable and well developed. I loved it!!
